Just For You

Good Sunday morning all!  A classic black and milk colour combo for today's card.  I embossed a piece of milk card using the Quilted Circles Pinpoint embossing folder to give texture to the background.  I matted it with a thin black mat to help define it and added some cream flatback pearls as accents.  Next I cut the Copenhagen die out of black card using the inside die to add a bit more detail. I cut it in half and glued the two halves to the sides of the background.  next I cut the Stockholm die out of milk card and backed it with a black one to show through the detail.  I cut the centre of the die out and added mounting foam to the back to raise it for dimension.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the inside die from the Copenhagen set.  I inked it with Antique Linen before removing it from the die.  I mounted it vertically in the centre of my frame, using mounting foam to lift it.  The card was finished with a pierced milk mat, a thin black mat and a final milk mat.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  7 1/2" in size.

I'm afraid that I am still trying to get caught up from being away so I am only going to draw one set of winners for each of the three weeks away (I hope you will let me slide on it this one time).  The winners from the comment game are:

    GM Sue. What a classic and classy style card. Love that EF. Will have to put that one on the list I think.

    Show report from yday. When Sue was on the TV last she demoed a flip card and I tried one for a friends bdaywhich went down very well. So I thought aha... This might also be good for the shoe card class as I've never won 1st in this class before and I think that's because the judge doesn't like die cuts for some reason. So I made side panels with corrugated card wound with thin ribbon in the valleys and handmade daffodils on too and an Easter egg for the centre panel. The flip side was hand stamped and glittered with Happy Eaaster. Well. There were 8 entries in the class this year and......, yes I finally won the red card. So thanks Sue for the flip card idea. It obviously caught the judges eye.

    My bracelet came 2nd in the Jewellery class, no placed in the gift tag class, 2nd in the
    Picture class and 2nd in the Easter collage class. And i won the cup for most points in the handicraft classes. So a good day but winning the illusive card class was really satisfying after all these years of trying! Thanks for the good luck messages yday. Appreciated. Happy Sunday all.

    Always a winner with Monochrome. It's such a classic and on today's gift it just prove it is so. Your Background folder looks amazing and is definitely a NEED.
    You do not need to make any apologies Sue. Three weeks is a lot of catching up to do and with your usual hectic schedule it is an enormous task. Just take it steady or you will undo all the goodness your holiday gave you.

    Hi Sue. sorry I did not comment yesterday. It was all a bit of a blur !! I am still very "flued up" and it has greatly affected my other illness !! I did not realise I had forgotten to comment until I looked at your gorgeous card this morning !! WOW Sue this one is amazing !! I absolutely love it all.     Sunday smiles to you Sue and all that enter here today. Firstly we all think the same, prizes shmizes, who cares ? We love you and Particraft for the inspiration you give us each day, for the video tuts you do for us, so dont even start to stress over who's won what ! Secondly, milk and black = WOW, you have done many a 'true' mono card but I dont remember seeing many Guiness cards lol, its beautiful. I was just about thinking of ordering your scored ef but ohhh dear, why waste an order with just one item ? You certainly know how to twist our arm Sue Wilson, and after reading all the comments before me I'll be lucky to find one as im certain it will be 'sold out' on all the sites that stock your fab products, no harm in trying though right ?
    Well done to our CLARE, I remember how disapointed you were last year when the judges didnt appreciate your hard work, but im SO happy that you DID IT girl AND won the trophy, you must be chuffed to bits, I know I would be if I were you and rightly so : )
    Well done to the comment winners too, enjoy your gift.
    Well just back from market and fit to drop, but at least I can try to rest up tomorrow after a week that's been full of stress and frustration before I start the orders and stock up cards !
    Missing CAM and TOB plus our other Wilsonettes that cannot be here with us, and to our friends that feel unwell or totally down and sad I wish I could surround you with true cuddles but virtual one's are here for you to show im thinking of you.

    Hi Sue, a lovely classic style card that looks to be comparatively simple to make but the end result is stunning. I love the embossing folder and the addition of the pearls is the perfect finishing touch.
