Hello my crafty friends! Today's card was a bit of an experiment in partial die cutting. I was having a play with my Complete Petal Camellias to see if I could use them to create a border. It is just a nice way to give a sort of whimsical look to your card. I started by embossing the centre section using the Cross Stitch Pinpoint embossing folder for texture. Next I lined up several of the Camellias in a variety of sizes on a piece of coconut white card. Before cutting them, I placed two pieces of white card underneath the edge of them so that those areas would not cut through completely, thereby giving me an attached strip for each of my side borders. I scored the edge and then glued it to the centre embossed piece, one border on each side. For the focal element, I cut the Stockholm die out of white card, then backed it with a pretty tanzanite colour (from my stash). I cut the Copenhagen in both white card and tanzanite card and offset it slightly to look like a shadow. I nipped this in half and mounted it under the Stockholm die, just peeking out from underneath. I stamped my sentiment in black and cut it out with the Oslo die centre. I matted it with the Stockholm cut in Tanzanite card. The card was then finished with a white paper pierced mat, a thin tanzanite mat and a final wider white mat. The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 8 3/4" in size. All for now, Sue x

morning Sue
A beautiful gift today in a very calming colour palette. Today's colours remind me of a warm summer's day with blue skies and white fluffy clouds. Something we need at the moment.
I love your idea of a flower border and must try this. Once again Sue you have shown how to create out of the box which makes our dies go much further.
No crafting for me today - Mr E had his INR check yesterday and it was down so he's going back this morning for another check and see the Dr. They wanted to see him again next week so it's fingers crossed time that they come to some arrangement and we can travel on Monday as planned. I also have the second half of my annual MOT this morning so again fingers crossed that BP is OK and my blood results have come back.
I've a feeling it's going to be one of those days!
To all under the weather and suffering I hope your day gets better. To everyone please take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

Goodness me so many of our lovely ladies missing at the moment, mind there are some really nasty bugs around at the moment. The mild winters just don't kill off all the germs I don't think.
Well my girls have been on Work experience this week at their old primary school, they started the week finding being coughed on, sneezed on, you name it they were frustrated by it, but this morning (their last day) they are feeling sad as they have to say goodbye, so they went off with tissues at the ready, only half day today though as they break up for Easter, yay two whole weeks off! I love having the home, so one happy mummy here!
Well I must go pop over to the cafe, se what they are up to in there!
Love & hugs

wonderful card Sue
Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes from a lovely sunny Lancashire (for now anyway) I'll send some to Sheffield lol.
WOW WOW WOW Sue, this is AMAZING, but like P I need to read and.re-read your instructions, Im so thick I dont understand lol I know, how easy can it be, but this is ME that's reading this not someone that has more than 1 brain cell as I have lol I must admit to not cutting my camelia petals fully when my card has moved, but I reacon I can 'hide the half petal with the open petal and 'hide that under a properly cut petal ! Its called 'bodging' its good cuz you'd never guess whats hiding beneath the bouquet focal point lol is that naughty ?
Its an absolute stunning card Sue, Cr. E have to get that tanzanite in the colour scheme please, its so rich looking.
I do hope you are feeling better Sue, please let us know how you're doing now : )
I thought Id never see Debs. A mention her wonderful Wednesday give away, well done and enjoy.
Cam, I have to say how much we miss hearing from you its rather worrying. To Sam and Theresa, hope you are both starting to pick up a little, to our other dear friends that are struggling with life, my love and thoughts are with you.
Whatever your plans for the day, hope its a good one or as good as it can be for you all.

Hi Sue. What a pretty card and as for the border, just brilliant! SueL x
Love the card sue and the colours are lovely thank you love to all June horrocks xxxxx
Good morning Sue and fellow wilsonettes,
This is a lovely card Sue but the brain has not registered just how you could do i with such small dies. I know how to do it with bigger ones, but these have stumped me. I love the tanzanite blue that you have used as it is so striking behind the white but what are you trying to do to us Sue.....no bow, pins or dazzlers to be seen. Still think it is cracking though so thank you for testing out or metal again with your ingeniousness. I hope that you are improving dear friend, but i also hope that it is not going to diminish your wonderful holiday and the sights that you saw. Sending you hugs to wrap around you just to let you know you are loved.
Well i only have a chilly day today after yesterdays snow that totally covered my beloved hills, today you wouldn't know that it had been. the sun is shining at least and there is more pale blue than white in the skies above, oh if only it could continue.
Janet flower, i have everything crossed that i can for you both today. I should have been for an MOT myself a few months back but since there is nothing that they can do, i don't see the point in wasting their time nor mine and since i need to get the appointment a fortnight in advance i never know just what i am going to be like to be able to go. It's ridiculous that you need to give them 2 weeks notice that you are going to be ill, but that is how daft our surgery has got because there is only one decent doctor who knows what he is doing and actually cares about what is wrong. The rest are in it for their wages at the end of the month or are these above everyone looking down their noses at what is causing your problems so wont treat you because it is self inflicted. Me, if i lost weight i would be a lot better, would still have Chronic Fatigue, Chronic Fibromyalgia and Acute Reynaurds in hands and feet but i would be thinner. Dohh, if i could lose weight i would but the tablets that i am on put weight on you and they don't have any others that would work and not make me gain weight, so tell me how i do it. Ohh they make me so mad because i would dearly love to be a size 10 again but some how i don't think it is going to happen. Anyway Janet i hope that all goes well today for you and Mr E so that you can escape on Monday as planned.
Well i will taking my greetin' moanin' coupen off and leave you all with hugs for all my angels both on blog and not, my thoughts and prayers are with you,
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil)
Absolutely stunning, love the background of the centre panel x

Hi Sue,
You are so clever and the partial die cut is a certain success. It looks absolutely lovely. I'll give this a go, it would look good with the daisies as well.

Hi And best wishes Sue,
I am only occasionally confident enough to post a comment since everyone seems to know each other very well, but I felt impelled to congratulate you on your ingenuity. I would NEVER have had the idea to create a border out of the camellia dies in this way. I have reread your instructions and I sort of understand where you are coming from, however, could you please consider doing either a YouTube demo or C&C demo next month cos it is always easier to follow when we see the master at work:-)xxx
I like this experiment, lovely card

Hi Sue
a really clever card, I hope you're feeling much better now. Such a lovely blue colour and matting the dies at 90 degrees is really clever- at least that's what it looks like! The flowers are very pretty but will have to settle for my Spellbinders ones. Will try this layout with some of your other dies.
Special hugs to Sheila and Nikki, Gail and hubby, Alimecca and hubby and Sam S along with anyone else struggling at the moment. Hoping it gets better for all of you.
Lorraine Eastwood, welcome. I came to Particraft having not really socialised with anyone online or anyone much at all bar my partner and family for 4 years as I spend a lot of time at home. I was welcomed and the lovely people on here have given me support at some of my more difficult times, people to chat to, joke with and we all support each other. Please please comment whenever you can- some have been here for years, some like me, haven't but it doesn't matter. Sending you a big hug to say hello xxx
Not in my 'best' form, but knew I've missed a few days as I'm having a problem with one of my eyes but as my neck is in a pretty rough patch it might be that so not hugely concerned as that or recent change of specs may be the cause- giving it til next week. Enforced as Mr W brought home a bug from work for me (thanks love!) I'm not badly ill, but with a fuzzy eye and a gurgly tummy I'm not feeling much like reading on my phone. laptop had to come out today to send in my PA's time sheet so I knew I had to stop by. I've missed you all and would like to wish you all a happy, crafty weekend.
Norah, glad to see you back as I missed you on my last visit. Hugs x

Hope you're feeling better now Xx
Yesterday's card was lovely, but unfortunately I've not been able to view the whole of the video yet, as there have been problems with YouTube :-(
Have a good weekend everyone, whatever the weather. I know wind and rain forecast, unfortunately.
Hugs to you all,
Angela in S. Wales Xx
Such a clever idea to make a border from the camellia dies. So pretty. I'll have to try this with another flower die as like so many others I can't track the camellias down anyhwhere. Lovely card altogether.
Lorraine, keep commenting. It's a lovely, friendly, supportive on-line community. I don't know anyone here face to face.
Alimecca, hope all went well with settling your aunt back at home and that you are feeling better. Hope you are a bit better too, Sue.
Take care everyone.
Hi Sue, only just managed to look at your post, Mum-in-law aged 92 taken into hospital on Monday, so juggling hospital visits with all the other madness etc, however a slight improvement today, bless her. She is amazing for her age, lives on her own and very very independent. A wonderful example to us all and treasured by all our family. Catching up with your blog each day is my treat and what a treat this card is, absolutely stunning, I hope you make a tutorial Sue, have read your instructions a couple of times but brains a bit foggy at the moment, lol.
Love the colours. Take care all. hugs, Linda
