  18. Hi Sue, love the effect of the paved pearls, adds that something extra to a card and great for mens cards when you can't get to add a big bow!! Lol lynne m x x

Tilly now recovered from scare on Sunday. I took poochies over to the park about 7:30am as it was very cold and frosty and I thought as no mud around they could have a good play chasing each other and I could save the pull on my left shoulder. Well Cully took to chasing and pouncing on Tilly at every opportunity and it was comical to watch her rear up on her hind legs and then pounce on Tilly. After a while Tilly got fed up being jumped on so the growls started, I called them and said it was time to go home. We started to walk the path back when from behind me I heard a loud "crack" and then wimpering. Turning round I saw Tilly's back legs sticking out of the ground!!. She had ran across a patch of ice , it had given way and she had fallen through into a ditch filled with water. She managed to scramble out and ran to me. To say my heart was in my mouth was an understatement. I got them both home asap and called for hubby to come to talk to Cully whilst I wrapped Tilly up in a huge towel. Told hubby what had happened, he then sat on the settee with Tilly wrapped up in MY snuggly ( blanket with arms) asked him why he thought the use of my snuggly was a good idea and was told that the dog blankets were too rough for his princess !!! Said were the dog blankets too rough for
me to use - sensible man didn't respond to that, lucky for him . Well Tilly is fine now and both poochies are busy chasing birds in the garden. Hubby managed to come for a short walk this morning and has now settled back with his princesses for a sleep. I'm looking forward to a couple of hours me time.

Lol and hugs to all my crafty friends here on the blog.

Apologies Sue for not leaving a comment yesterday in regards to your great shows over the weekend but had gremlins in the works and was unable to access your website.

    Morning Sue
Today's gift is just the one you can make and have in your box for those times we need one in a hurry. It's also in the class of less is more and again Sue all your dies are doing the work. I love your colours for today along with your beautiful background.

Muriel - all the best for tomorrow.Hope all goes well for you.
Lynne - so pleased Tilly didn't do too much damage to herself and is now back to normal.

Managed to watch the rest of your wonderful shows yesterday Sue. I'm hoping I'm in the UK for your April shows. I'm now a member of 'Bloglovin' so I can see all your art work together. It's wonderful not having to trawl through your demos to find the one I want. Hope other crafter are joining up. You'll find it fantastic.

Off now to find my Mo-Jo as I still haven't found a card for next Tuesday.

To all in pain or suffering I hope your day gets better. To everyone please take care and stay safe. It's very windy here this morning. See you tomorrow.

I could watch you demo all day (which I did yesterday after housework done lol). I love this technique it suits me because you don't have to keep them all the same size, that's something I struggle with. The video shows us how easy it is to achieve stunning cards when you have the right tools. Your stick pins are beautiful and a 'must have' they finish the card off.

  71. Good morning Sue and the fabulous Wilsonettes,
Beautiful card Sue both in colour and design. I love this shade of blue that you use as it is so soft yet bright bringing thoughts of Spring and Summer. Now these kind of pearls i think i could get as it wouldn't matter that they weren't all the same size because of the design, nor the fact that they weren't straight. Strange how some things just do your box in when they are not as precise as you want. Thank you Sue for another WOW work of art as it does look lovely seeing the 2 lacey squares interlocking. Have a great day Sue and i am glad you sound a bit more yourself, remember that to us your will always be number 1 on the planet.
Muriel, good luck for tomorrow flower, behave so that you can get home and no chasing the young doctors as i know some of them are really dishy. Sending you some healing hugs in the hope that you are feeling much better soon.
Oh Lynne, i could just imagine a heart and mouth sharing the same space, i bet you were frightened as well as wee Tilly. I bet she is oh so glad her knight in shining armour was back at home to fawn attention on her and i bet the wee bisom knows that she wouldn't normally be allowed in mums snuggly slanket(the dear name for these cosy armed blankets). Glad that she seems none the worse for her fright though flower, although with her beloved daddy at home she has a captive audience that will fawn over her tail and paw. Oh boy is are they going to be in with a shock to the system when he returns to work again.
Janet, if you find my energy running around with your mojo, please will you send it back home to me as it has done a disappearing act on me this past few days. If i see you mojo i will return it posthaste.
Well we have lovely if cold day up here at the Ochil Hills today with them covered in snow, i am just glad that it is on my hills and not on the ground as the legs are not keen at the best of times in this walking lark but not at all in the white or clear stuff. I have a shawl to finish and another wee cardigan and 2 hats with big pom poms on the top for Kirsten's friends who are expecting twins. I have 1 shawl made but they will need 1 for each baby so i just have the border to do now and wash and pin them out. So with my day decided upon i hope that you all have a lovely day wherever you are. I have put down my basket full of hugs to all shapes, sizes and kind for the taking my friends so please take one from me and thank you.
    Love and crafty hugs
    Norah (Glenochil)
P.S. I went to my friends last night to show her how to sew her mittens up and how to make cords to go through them. She has not only finished her first set, she has started a second set and is coming on like a house on fire with a smile on her face the size of the Clyde tunnel. So now she can sew as well as knit which she could never do before, i am fair chuffed for her. bye.

I do love our video tutorial days, especially on the days my brain cell refuses to take in written instructions (which happens on many a day) !!
These colour's are lush and show the delicate embossing on your Madison beautifully. The paved pearl technique is MY excuse when my pearls fluctuate in size lol... Lets change these pesky uneaven pearl dots to paved, hey presto, perfect lol such a fab cheat : )

I've watched the paved pearl technique a number of times. It looks really affective. I've tried it myself but have always messed up right at the last leg. I will give it ago again and keeping everything crossed that the drops stay singular rather than merge with another. I think I should I do it in stages rather than in one attempt.

  113. Good Afternoon Sue,
Love the video and once again it was so informative. It was really useful to see the Paved Pearl Technique in action, it might seem obvious to do it that way, but it wasn't to me and that's probably why mine never look as good as your do. The card you made is truly beautiful. The blue and white is a favourite of mine. Thank you.

I am enjoying using Bloglovin, it's a brilliant way to see and to share your cards and I hope that many more people find you through it. I do hope though that they then click on the link and visit you on Particraft though otherwise it won't count towards your ratings.
I initially thought that if I just looked at that particular days card on Bloglovin I was adding to your rating numbers but have since discovered that in order for my visit to count I have to click the link which brings me to onto the actual Particraft site.

If that's left anyone feeling confused it's VISITING Particraft that counts for the ratings, it doesn't matter whether you use the direct route like before or use Bloglovin to come here.

Hope that might have helped anyone like me who was a bit unclear about it all.

    Love and Hugs
    Saba

  130. Hello it's me again

I have just caught up on all today's comments and there seems to be so much confusion regarding how Sue's ratings are worked out.
Please forgive me in advance if this is driving you to distraction but I felt it needed clarification.

Sue's visitors to her Particraft blog site are monitored by the company who publish the top blog ratings website.
Each individual visitor to her site is counted, only one visit from any individual within that day counts.
It doesn't matter whether you come to Particraft via Bloglovin, via your favourites or via the web, all that matters is that you do come onto this Particraft site to be counted.
You don't need to subsequently click on the Top 50 Blog banner at the top right of the page which currently shows Sue at No 3. All that does is opens up the Blog listing website.

Really hope this helps clarify for those who are concerned that their visits are not helping Sue's ratings or those who were thinking that they must use Bloglovin.

Saba - thanks for the info re Bloglovin. Always have that element of doubt about joining new things - read the small print and they can and probably will share your info. Now know that staying just with Particraft okay as you'd have to come back here anyway to count towards the figures. Sue, really like that you don't have to 'join' to comment, another joy of your blog.
I 'save' my favourite cards with the date anyway so can always look at them again.

  156. Hi Sue

Will watch later but what a lovely card! I wonder if the linking is the same way you did it with the spellbinders all those years ago (lol), regardless, it's a technique I love and use a lot as it really can make a stunning card. Paved pearls... look lovely but (llaughably) I struggle with random. Random thoughts? No, I have plenty of them- can't you tell by reading my posts! But random patterns whether in my cards or jewellery making I reall, really struggle with. I know it sounds mad but my hyper brain likes order! I shall try though, have a pile of birthdays from mid march- early April (5) so need to start knocking some out asap. Got the dispatch email for my New York dies this afternoon so will have more new dies to go with the ones I got at the fair with my Christmas and Birthday "craft tokens" from Mr W and my parents. I think some thank you cards to go witb those birthday cards are in order.

Muriel- best wishes for your foot op tomorrow, will be thinking of you

Lynne- glad Tilly wasn't badly hurt during her ordeal, your hubby's actions did remind me of when Mr W took Billy out and got caught in a downpour. Billy has towels in the cupboard in the hall and I leave a towel on the radiator in the hall for Mr W. Mr W used 'his' towel but instead of walking the 4 and a half steps to the cupboard, he picked up my Egyptian cotton bath sheet from the same radiator for Billy! I did ask, in a rather cross manner why he didn't walk the 4 1/2 steps to the cupboard for a dog towel and got told "well you usually leave one there for him!", to which I enquired whether he could actually tell the difference between a new towel and the old ones I use for the dog, "not really, no'. Which is Mr W's way of saying "I do know but I couldn't be bothered to find the one I should use" He will never admit when he's wrong but he's so bad at denying it instead of getting cross I end up laughing at him (which never goes down well lol). I get accused of being soft with Billy but Mr W is far softer than I am... and Billy knows it too. The pair of them provide me with so much entertainment I can't complain too much- and towels do wash!

Big hugs and best wishes to Wilsonettes old and new, wherever you are in the world. Extra special hugs to those of you ill, in recovery, having treatment or in any sort of pain.

    Until tomorrow,

    T x

You make the Paved Pearl Technique look so easy. I tried this once and it all went wrong when the bottle got blocked and I squeezed it to hard. The end popped off and about half the bottle went everywhere !! Hubby could not stop laughing at me !! It has put me off trying it again since but I know I really should give it another go. It love, love, love the Madison Square dies and have used them on several occasions now with the matching border to. The New York Collection is one of my all time favourite collections. Stick pins look fab to !! I just can't wait for mine to arrive from your weekend shows. Every card I make will have one on it now !! Just to say I think your Rambling Blossoms EF looks great to. I know there is some dies out there but there so expensive and crafter's don't have that sort of money. I hope maybe in the future you'll do some Basic bigger square dies,
