Hello everyone! It's time for another card giveaway (they do come around quickly, don't they?) If you would like to be entered in the drawing to win this card, just leave me a comment. There is one disclaimer, however, this card cannot be posted out until after I do my shows on the 7th and 8th of Feb. Mainly because I forgot to leave enough cards for the giveaway to be posted out while I am away, sorry about that! Hopefully it will be a nice surprise for the winner when it finally arrives! Using the Scandinavian Background, cut it in coconut white card and leave a wide margin around the edge. Add mounting foam to the back edge and around the centre for support. Mount it over another piece of white card for a tonal look. Stamp your sentiment in black and cut into a strip and add a forked end to it. Lightly ink the edges with Dusty Concord distress ink. Using the Complete Camellia die, make several flowers using the same method as the Blossoms Five Flower tutorial at the top of the blog. I used Lilac card, then inked the petal edges with Dusty Concord distress ink. Add to the centre of the background seated in some white tulle, along with the sentiment strip. Cut several Mosaic Leaves and Twigs (from the Holly Accessory kit set) and seat them around the flowers as embellishments. Pierce a white mat layer, add a thin Lilac mat, then a final white mat to complete the card. The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x 8 3/4" in size. Don't forget to leave a comment. I will draw the winner and post the name on Saturday's blog post. All for now, Sue x
Stunning card Sue, you always delight me.

Morning Sue, beautiful card for the giveaway today. So pleased to hear you will be on our screens again soon. It seems ages since we have seen you! I wonder if this means there will be new designs coming??? lol love Jean xxx
ReplyDeleteMorning Sue
ReplyDeleteI would wait for ever to receive a piece of your wonderful artwork.
Today's gift looks so so fragile with that beautiful background die doing all the work. It really is a must buy for me as I've not as yet bought a background from your last launch. Just waiting for my bday with fingers crossed. Those little flower dies really do become all sorts don't they when you start to mount them up etc. Just another wonderful way your dies work.
Sandra - so so pleased that Bella is OK and now free of all medical collars etc. My youngest daughter's wonderful doggie Tia had to have an op last year and the scar was right across her chest. They tried all ways of stopping her from licking/pulling at the lots of stitches she had to have and finished by putting her children's long sleeved t-shirt on her. In the end she won and she started pulling her stitches out. It's Wonderful what some animals can do isn't it.
Norah - I missed you yesterday. Hope your visit of the 'window man' went well and things are being sorted.
I see that it's cold and lots of snow in Barnsley this morning so I can only think that High Green is the same. I only hope that it has all gone by the time I return on the 2nd Feb.
It's going to be a crafting day for me today - I've to create a card for an 8yr boy and then some more work on Lily-Mae's year book.
So the kitchen floor will need a good sweep when I've finished.
My shelf space is ready and waiting and I've all fingers/toes cross - that's if they will cross in this very cold weather. I really shouldn't be greedy should I as I say my name at the week-end. Oh well it's still one of my dreams to own a 'Sue Wilson' piece of art.
To all in pain or suffering I hope you day get better. To everyone please take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteHi Sue. A gorgeous card. I love the splash of lilac flowers on that beautiful Scandinavian background. ReplyDeleteAnother lovely card today. The die is lovely and I like the flower. It looked really dark in the original picture, but when you look at the close ups you could see it was lilac. I can assure you Sue that no one will mind waiting for a Sue special( because all your cards are special) anyway. I remember many moons ago I won a prize which never turned up. You just sent me another one out no quibble at all. I wonder who did get that, or whether it went into a post office hole. Hugs to all in need of one today. Mrs B and Sandra are coming today for a play away. Please have a look on Sandra's blog to see the wonderful creations she makes. A very talented lady is our Sandra.

Hello Sue - looking forward to seeing the new collection but the last one will be hard to beat as this card clearly shows.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue. What a pretty card today and I love the flower against the white, very pretty. As many have said we really don't mind waiting for this beautiful creation Sue, it will be well worth the wait. Must get on, I've just been chatting to my sister on the phone, she fell over on the ice yesterday and banged her knee. She's just come back from the walk in centre (or hobble in in her case) and she hasn't fractured it, just banged the bones together and squashed the soft bit inside(very technical !) p. she's all strapped up and quite sore, so make sure you all stay safe when you go out! Take care love Diane xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Dawn, welcome to the blog xxx

ReplyDeleteGood morning Sue, and all the ladies.
ReplyDeleteThis is quite simply beautiful, and the flash of colour makes the flowers "pop".
Myra - I'm really chuffed. I've managed to keep the dumping ground, otherwise known as a utility room, all tidy and sorted since before Christmas. We've lived here 34 years and it's been my ambition to do that all that time. Although I'm in bed at the moment with a virus and I can't keep tabs on George, so when I get downstairs I'll check on it!!!
Sandra, Pat & Sue - enjoy yourselves.
Pam - hope this cold weather is not affecting your foot/leg,
Everyone have as good a day as you can and keep safe and warm xx

Hi Sue, the beautiful dies always look so crisp and clean when used with white card. I love the lilac flowers though, they really pop out of the card and are like the icing on the cake. As always, thanks for sharing with us. x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Sue,(as always). I love using the background dies on my cards. With a few touches of flowers and leaves, the cards speak for themselves.

Just home from a day travelling and this card certainly lifted my weary spirits. The Scandinavian certainly makes a beautiful backdrop, and that little touch of net sets off the flowers a treat.
