Happy New Year 2015! Another tradition on the blog is each Jan. 1st. I post my favourite cards (non Christmas cards only) from the previous year. This is never easy for me, but I have selected some of the cards that really sang to me. These are the ones that I just wanted to look at a while longer before putting them away! LOL I can't really say what it is about each of them, but they just made me feel good. Many of these ended up on Wednesday Card Giveaways so I hope that they have brought some joy to those winners as well. I can say one thing, however, that I am especially proud to say this year. Every one of these cards has one or more of my die designs on them! I have never been able to make that statement in years past so this year it is especially wonderful this time to be able to share my favourite creations with you once again. Which one do you like best? I would love to hear from you. Again, Happy New Year!

Your selection is outstanding and I for one cannot choose a favourite at all. I've tried and tried and when I think I've come to a decision I think about another one so please may I have all of them a my favourite.
I just want to say to all my friends and Wilsonette Sisters I wish all of you the most Happiest; Healthiest and Peaceful 2015. To all who are expecting new additions to their family for the first time - You will have the best job in the world after becoming a parent.
I also wish we could have Peace across the world and maybe one day this will happen.
To you Sue I have to say the biggest thank you of all. Without your inspiration and support we would never all have met and become the biggest and caring crafting family we are. We could definitely do with a few more Sue Wilsons in today's world.

Happy New Year Sue. These are all lovely cards but I really do have a favourite and it's 'Thinking of You' as I love the distressed edges which compliment the background die so well. A close second is the last one, 'Get Well', I think the daisies make this one special.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful, stunning collection of W. O. W's each one show casing your life of dies. Although I dont own as many as I would like I cant imagin making a card without reaching for one of your collection of dies, and now I ask - what did I use before I found you ?! I cant remember. From the very first time you sat and talked through having your own collection to the very first release reaching the shops etc I bet you only dreamt of their sucess and popularity, but from day one of you launching and show casing them for that week we all knew they would do you proud and make your dream come true, and since then you have continued to give us so much pleasure with more and more dies, more and more fabulous cards, plus your friendship and support. Id love to be able to catch up with all your collections before the next new release, the only wsy I can do that is to take your help, advice and inspiration, and follow it through. You dont just make US happy, its a knock on effect as we have you as our mentor and tutor, we make our cards with your dies etc which in turn give many more people pleasure and so it goes forward. I know that without you, I wouldn't be doing a fair each month, get orders for cards, and its only down to your design of dies, knowing what crafters needs are to make a card that allows us to take our love of Sue Wilson out to other people and get rewarded for doing so. I owe so much to you that will never be able to be given back, through you I have made nicer cards, but most of all Sue, found so many wonderful friends. Thank you.
I hope your dreams and hopes follow you into this new year. To my friends that have had an awful year, I wish for a better year, and to those lovely Wilsonette sisters that have had bad health I wish for you a brighter year ahead.
I look forward to congratulating new grand parents, marriages birthdays etc with you all, but most of all I thank you all for being YOU.

Must say that card no. 1 is my favourite - as it is hanging up in my craft room! It was a Wednesday Giveaway and I'm pleased that you chose it in your favourites too.
Although lots of these cards really are very pretty.
Only wish I could buy more of your dies - still waiting to be delivered are the meadow striplet and Lyra dies.

Very hard to pick an all out favourite, I'm in a stew.. however, here goes, 10, 5, 7, 9, 13, 14 - then I am stumped. Not far into 2015 and you have the brain in overdrive.

They´re all soooo gorgeous Sue, so to ask us to pick a favorit is simply impossible. I really truly love them all, and for many diofferent reasons too, as they all have something very very beautiful in them that is just perfect, and another can have something else, that makes it very special, so they´re all really grgeous and sooo beautiful work.

ReplyDeleteWow what a collection. Great taste we share lol. You make them, I love them. It's very hard to chose but there's about 6 that jump out to me. I love the vintage. But I think my ultimate favourite which is very hard to choose is the black and white using the new squares and the frame. I loved it the very first time I saw it and I still do. I'm fact I think I'm going to have a go at this. I'm pretty sure there was a video showing how to achieve the effect. It's so very hard to choose individual cards as you really make the nicest creations.
Well time to sort out a roast dinner to welcome 2015. I'm pray with all my heart that it's the best year ever for all of us.

Best of luck for your next die release though I'm sure you don't need it! 2014 must've been an amazing year, too see what a success your designs are, how popular they are with crafters everywhere. Steph put it so well in her post that you, your blog and your dies make us happy, we enjoy emulating and putting our own spin on your designs which in turn gives pleasure to those who get our cards. I had never considered such a thing in a million years but Steph is 100% correct. What a lovely chain of happiness you've created. Then there's this wonderful place, Particraft. A place to share the beautiful things you create, a place of learning and inspiration for us. A place of caring, support, friendship and celebration, where we share our happy times and our sadder, more difficult times. The support and advice I've had from the other Wilsonetts has made a massive difference in a difficult year. Being quite isolated, having people to share with has been amazing. I wish all of you, wherever you are in the world, good health, happiness and hours of crafty joy. For those ill or in pain I wish you comfort.
I hope to make more of the dies I have next year.I need to organise myself to make extra cuts when I'm crafting so when I'm not too sharp I can put things together on a tray on my lap. I first need to get over the last few weeks' rush and recover my craft half room from under the scraps of wrapping paper, put away the seasonal supplies and make a go of first of the years' birthday cards!
