Hello My Friend

Hello bloggers!  From the other end of the spectrum, same die as yesterday, but a completely different look this time!  I cut the French Background out of coconut white card and left a wide border.  I added mounting foam to the back and matted it on to another piece of white card for a tone on tone look.  Out of lilac card (I know it looks  blue in the pic), I cut a flower using the Delicate Daisies open petal die set and used several of the sizes to layer up to create a pretty floral element.  I used the Mosaic Leaves and cut several of them to add around my flower.  I couldn't find any green card that I liked so I inked up some white card with Forest Moss Distress ink, then cut the leaves out of it.  I stamped my sentiment on to vellum using a Clear Perfect Medium pad and heat embossed it with white powder.  I cut it into a strip and tucked the end under my flower.  I used a few of the small butterflies from the Magical Butterfly die set to add around the card (truth be told, they were covering a few smudges!)  I added Iced Snow to the wings and small  3mm pearls to the body.  I finished the card with a white pierced mat then a larger solid white mat.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x 8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  10. Morning Sue, Pam and all Wilsonettes what a lovely fresh and bright card to welcome in this damp and dull Monday. I love that you have used the same die as yesterday and don't worry Sue I won't tell anyone about the smudges being hidden by the butterflies, we all do it hehe!!!

Congratulations to all the winners announced yesterday. I was at the NEC all day and didn't get a chance to go onto the website to comment.

Sue you should have seen your dies fling out the window on all the stands, they were so, so popular - just as we all know and love.

Have a great Monday everyone, stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs June Smith xxx

    morning Sue
What a difference a day makes! It just shows how versatile your beautiful dies are. Today's gift is just simply gorgeous. White/White with just a hint of lilac for the flower an how to make anyone smile when they receive such a gift. Thank you for starting my week off so beautifully.

Sandra - hope the girls footy was a success and that if you went you were well and truly wrapped for warmth.

As most of you say fireworks should only be set off by controlled organisations. I see far too much of the suffering caused by them via my daughter and all the little furry friends she has to deal with after.

As I'm here in France I shall be remembering my loved ones tomorrow as they always use the actual 11.11 for their ceremonies. I always bring a poppy with me as they don't have them over hear.

Well it's the start of my last week here - where has the last five weeks gone! Still have much to do so on a very very damp and dull morning I shall get a 'wriggle' on and move! (not a pretty site! lol).

To all who have an occasion to celebrate hope your day goes well. To all under the weather hope you feel better soon. To all take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

  29. Hi Sue and all Particraft friends hope you all slept well.
A beautiful fresh start to the week. White always looks so clean and pure, but with the addition of fresh 'happy' colour's its a card to brighten anyone's day. Your daisy dies are so cute Sue, Im wondering if they would look out of character on my festive cards lol as I would add those beauties to any cards I can (shame men feel 'uncomfortable' with flowers on their cards) well, some men.
Im doing really well not taking a peek at your new dies that are being shown on other websites, I just want to wait until you launch them yourself, and if I lose out by a sell out then I can always order from Barbie and my little craft heaven - keeping fingers crossed there is a new square die to replace the retired expensive SB die as I adore the large square frame you add to your cards, they frame focal points so brilliantly.
Well that's me done - before I go I want to welcome TOB back home after too long away from us, so lovely to see your comment again Theresa : )
Pam - I hope each day feels a little less dark for you.
To our friends that have woken in pain both in body and mind, my comfort basket is full of comforting hugs, take as many as you need (if only they could be real hugs)
To anyone celebrating today, have a wonderful day full of happiness and laughter.
We really need our missing Wilsonettes to join us again, its not the same without your funny tales or tails, please hurry home.
It would be SO lovely to see the number's go up to over 200 everyday not just one day a week.
Have a lovely day Sue whatever your day brings, and to you all - hope your day is as happy and productive as it can be.
    Love you.

  58. Good morning Sue and Wilsonette friends,
Oh how pretty the French background looks when all cut out of white and added to the white built up card. The touch of colour of the blue daisy and green leaves looks so lovely. Thank you Sue for another beautiful card.
What a twit i am, as it wasn't until i was actually up seeing Jim yesterday and putting his crosses down that i actually realised what i had done. I have been buying 2 crosses for so many years now, 1 for me and 1 for mum and dad to put down that i forgot this year that i only needed one. OH was watching the parade at the cenotaph on the television which surprised me to start with and then for him to actually shut up and go into thought for the 2minute silence, i was amazed as it the first time in all our years of marriage that i have seen him do it.
Well someone has pinched my hills today as they are nowhere to be seen, so i think today is a stay at home day in front of the fire. A pair of bootees to go and that is 4 sets made up for wee boys so far. With all the wee boys that have been born this past wee while i have run out, plenty of wee girls outfits but had no wee boys left. At least i can get a few different things made up with my stock of wool thus reducing the wool mountain and second making up some useful wee clothes.
Sending hugs to all my Angels both on blog and not at the moment. You are missed girls and i hope that you are feeling better day by day. It is so nice to read of all that went to the NEC and so glad that you all had such a great time even if it was tiring. Take care everyone,

  132. Hi Sue. What a truly elegant card. It's difficult to realise that it's the same die that you used for yesterday's card...what a difference! I love the delicate flower , it's such a different 'finish' when you only use the outline of the daisy. The butterflies are too cute and you can't go wrong with the mosaic leaves. Another stunner! As always, thanks for sharing with us. x

  139. Hi Sue,
Another Late Comment From Me, I've Been Christmas Shopping Today I've Nearly Finished My Shopping, Then They'll Just Need Wrapping But At present I Can't Find Any Wrapping Paper I Like, I Know It's Silly As It Just Gets Wripped Off But I Like My Gifts To Look Nice With A Great Big Bow!
Well Today's Card Just As Stunning As Yesterday's, I Loved The Black And Now Using The Same Stunning French Background Die But Today In The White, Very Beautiful So Just By Changing The Colour Pallete We Get A Different Look.
I Love The White On White With Just A Touch Of Colour From Your Leaves And Delicate Daises (I've Just Used This Same Die On A Birthday Card) I Love The Open Daisy Its So Pretty And Extremely Delicate, Hence The Name Delicate Daises. Those Stunning Leaves Great Idea Using Distress Ink To Get Colour Of Choice, I Love Your Beautiful Sentiment Heat Embossed In White On Vellum It Looks Amazing.
So From Yesterday's Awesome Black Card With A Touch Of Colour, To Today's Awesome White Card With A Touch Of Colour, I Personally Believe What Ever Colour Pallette You Choose Using One Of Sue's Dies Will Turn Out To Be Terrific.
