Hello crafters! It's time to show off the Mosaic Poinsettia! I loved the way this card came out myself. I know that many of you might not be keen on the black card in the centre, but it really shows off the ivory embossed sentiment beautifully. This card also graces the front of this month's issue of Creative Cardmaking (issue 72) which was quite a surprise to me when I saw it as I had no idea that it had even been submitted!
I do hope that you will be able to join me during my One Day Wonder shows today. They have added an extra hour on as well so my shows are at 8am, 11am, 2pm, 4pm and 6 to 8pm. I will have one of our new team members, John Lockwood with me during my later shows as well so I hope you can tune in to see all of our demonstrations today!

It is a worthy card to grace the front of the card making magazine. I do think CE shoul have asked you first out of courtesy though if it was them that put it forward.

I got my invites all finished to be ask if i could make up some more as there isn't enough now. Just as well i had ordered up more of the card as i can at least get on with that part of it but i need to order up more of the diamante hearts for the top again. Today, i am going to finish here and go and knit for a wee while to get my head back in the cawing the handle zone as the ebosser makes a line in the card when cutting my design in the end so it is back to the old fashioned way for these. Not sure about the black and red, but I love the card. I think the poinsettia with the oval in the background is so stunning. I don't understand about the One Day Wonder shows, anyone want to clue me in?

ReplyDeleteSaw you on CnC today too - ordered the embossing folders, so can't wait for them to arrive. I do love embossing folder and the heat embossing and ink pad techniques extend what can be done with them and give so much variety to how they can be used.

ReplyDeleteNot keen on the colours of today's card to be honest. Idea can be adapted though! Juat don't see black as a Christmas colour -would have liked soft gold!

I was lucky to get my (edited) e-mail read out by Dave but not lucky enough to win a card. Oh well, I'll just have to try again next time :-). John did very well on his TV debut and I hope we will be seeing him again.

Hi Sue. Sorry it is so late. The excitement and stress of the last few days (making a posh card and about five tags to go on my sisters Birthday pressies ) has tired me out and taken its toll on my illness. Unfortunately it will last for several days now, but my sister and I had a lovely evening so it was worth it all x x x

I will have to watch the video tomorrow as I am feeling too ill right now. I still made myself watch all your shows today though as I just could not miss them !! I have recorded them all to just in case I missed anything. I thought you made some beautiful cards on your shows today and your sample cards were gorgeous !! I thought John did a fantastic job to, and made some lovely cards. He made some great card samples to. My hubby bought me the whole entire Austrian set for my Birthday. I am absolutely over the moon !! I can't wait for it all to arrive so I can play. My parents and sister bought me some more beautiful Sue Wilson dies to so I am very lucky. I just wish I felt better so I could do some card making !!
