Miss You x 3

Morning all!  I think I will mix it up with a lighter number from my show in July.  I selected a lavender card ad stamped the Justrite Twisted Fleur background using a Clear Perfect Medium pad.  I heat embossed it in white embossing powder and trimmed it to size.  Using the Checkerboard Pinpoint folder, I embossed the pattern into the background for a textural feel.  I decided to keep it whole and just give it a thin white mat and then jazz up the edges with die cuts.  I used the Mystical Embrace die for this and cut it in coconut white card, the nipped it apart and mounted each of the edges so they just peeked out from behind my background.  On a separate piece of white card, I ran double sided sticky tape around the edge and then coated it with Iced Snow for a bit of bling peeking out from through the die cuts.  On a piece of deeper purple card, I stamped the sentiment from the Doily One set by Justrite.  I heat embossed it in white and cut it into a strip.  I tied a messy bow out of white seam binding and topped it with a white crystal sparkler in the centre.  I seated the bow on some white tulle and tucked the sentiment strip end underneath.  Two matching stick pins I made were added to the bow to complete the look.  I finished the card with a few more mats of white and the same purple card from my sentiment strip.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x 7 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  1. Morning Sue and everyone, love the card today, so gorgeous.
My brother flies home to the States today, he has been more settled since he made the decision to go home early. He misses his family and just needs to be back with Robbie, so much going on right now. Robbie has been moving his fingers on both hands which is great news, he is so determined. He is classed as quadraplegic even with the movement in his hands/arms. George is taking back some football club shirts for him that we have bought, he will love them.
Cameeli, hope you are home well and safe and that you had a great time.
Sheila, so glad Nikki had a fab time.
Hoping all have a great day, love and hugs all round , such special friends xx

  6. Wonderful design. I am not sure if it is my computer screen or what but to
my taste the sentiment seems to be a bit too dark. I like it popping out but
maybe it pops out a bit too much with those delicate pastel colors...

  9. Morning Sue,
This is just a case of personal preference Sue,and I'm not sure why but Today's card just doesn't excite me. I think maybe the background is just a bit too fussy for me. I think I need another layer with one of your fab dies to tone it down a bit or so etching.

  28. Hi Sue,
Another Extremely Beautiful, Fabulous, Awesome Card, I really Love The Colours you've chosen today with The Lavendar and Coconut White. I Just Love how you've created your Background by using The Twisted Fleur Stamp from JustRite and I Love how you've heat embossed in True White Embossing Powder to bring out all the detail, I Loved how you then placed your piece of Card through your Fabulous Checkerboard Pinpoint Folder (Stunning) this makes The Card look so Tactile and when I checked out on the close up shots it shows the details coming through. Then I Love how you've used The Mystic Embrace Die and added The Die Cuts just beneath your Card Topper, I Love how you've added The Iced Snow around The Edge of another piece of card so when your Die Cuts are placed on top the Bling comes peeking through. I Love The Sentiment from JustRite your Fabulous Messy Bow Sparkler and your Stunning Stick Pins, Sue another Beautiful Card I Love The Detail, Thank You for the breakdown on how to achieve The Card
Sue Thank You for The Great Photography Shots which show all the details in The Card so clearly, Thank You for This Tremendous Blog and for Blogging each and every day, Thank You for all your hard work.

    morning Sue
Today's gift if so beautiful and what a gift to end the working week with for those who need to use that awful week. Retirement is fantastic- we say in our house that the money isn't good but it's the best job we have ever had.
I just love today's gift and it reminds me so much of a victorian tile which when finished with around the fire place is used in a block of wood and sat on the table so teapots etc can be stood on it but then it looks too beautiful to cover is up so stays as decoration.
Sue your new folders are waiting for me in the UK when I get back so it will be like Christmas opening a gorgeous parcel.

Sandra - hope your journey hasn't been too bad so far and that the weather is treating you kindly. While you're away I'm going to get to grips with your block.

Pam - I know that you'll miss your brother but he is going back stronger than when he arrived because of the strength you having given him. As I've said before when something awful happens to children it's all the family who need comfort and gentleness and I know that he has received this from you and taking it back to his lovely wife and fantastic son.

Well it's Friday so it's market day people watching while we have a drink and then to drool at the pastry shop window deciding what is going to be our weekly treat.

Hope everyone is feeling better this morning and for those who have plans for this week-end that all comes together. Take care and see you tomorrow.

Its getting ridiculous now as up at 5:20am this morning cuz poochies refuse to lay in!!!. Blasted pesky critters are worse than an alarm clock, at least you can turn a clock off. No such luck with poochies cuz all they do is whine until we go out. Then as soon as we get in the car they then whine till we get to the forest. Well today we had to go to the same spot as yesterday cuz our favourite spot access road is still closed. No rabbits or birds to chase so poochies just had to make do with getting as mucky as they could ( believe me they did) much to hubby's disgust cuz he silly man had cleaned his car. I tried really hard not to laugh but sometimes you just have to let go. Serves him right for all the times he tells me his princesses never misbehave. So back home now washing all the poochies towels as they are covered in dirt. Hopefully they will sleep for awhile to give me a bit of peace, before getting up to more mischief. Yesterday after their morning sleep they spent ages chasing each other around the garden, I'd love to have their energy.

To all in pain or need - myself and poochies send massive hugs and lol x x x

    Have a good day everyone x x x x x

  44. Hi Sue. Morning Wilsonettes.

Donna Golby - Im so sorry if Ive missed previous posts of your's. What can I say - I hope you get through the worst day in your life with lots of family support.

Pam - I wish as a blog family we could have sent a few bits n bobs to you for Robbie to help encourage him (although he sounds such a determind young man) but it feels we have followed his journey so far via you Pam, and personally I wish I could have either sent a donation or something of which he is interested in. Hope your brother has a safe trip home, and that he feels slightly more settled.

I love today's card, but, and I've NEVER added a but before, I feel it needs something to break the background up.. I feel awful adding a but, sorry Sue, I feel Im betraying you and your talant.

Today, I shall be getting my head down trying to 'catch up' with cards that need re-stocking, but then I think of new cards I need to add to my market collection, and it seems Im making more work for myself ! I need to list my idea's, list what stamp's I have to make these 'new' cards, then ONLY do them once Ive caught up with the other's ! Gosh, I need to be able to cut myself in two !
    Anyway, Ramble ramble ramble !

I send love n hugs to all this Friday.

    Love you.

  108. Good morning Sue and all my fellow Wilsonettes,
I feel in love with that mystical embrace die when i first seen it Sue as it was just so beautiful. It as a background to your stamped foreground just sets it off beautifully. I have fallen for today's pins in a big way as they are so pretty and add that detail that just finishes of your beautiful card to perfection.
Safe journey home George from all us Wilsonettes and please give that fantastic son a big hug from us all as he is a fighter and improving with each passing day. Sending you a big hug as well just to let you know we care.
Go for it Beryl, you'll be amazed at just how good you are. I practice on a piece of copy paper first just to see where it will hit and where it doesn't do so well and then re ink as if it was going out of fashion. What have you got to lose?
Glad to see you back again Heather, i'm sorry that you haven't been up to it but hopefully you will start remembering the good times, it just takes time but we're here for you. Hugs.
Janet that people watching would suit me right down to the ground just as long as i didn't look at their hair as i can't stand to see scissor marks in someones hair. If we go in the Park and Ride, Kirsten has me sitting at the front of the bus as i look at peoples hair that sit in front of me and i've got to resist the urge to say something or worse still, sort it. But i wonder if Mr E will be getting a Divorce again this week?
Lynne,it is a wonder that daddy wonderful doesn't have a seat protector on for just such occasions when his little princesses are less than princess looking. I have this image of little fluffy dogs in baby princess gowns and bows in their hair and then rolling in the biggest mucky puddle that they can find, but Cully and Milly wouldn't do anything like that ;))
Barbiepinkfairy, it wont matter if they turn out right or wrong, the children will have a great time and well done on staying upright after so long.
Steph, i felt sure that you were two people and was going to ask how you did it. Please don't over do it as you will set yourself back and then get fair annoyed with yourself because you can't, because you are in so much pain. Sorry, lecture over, the main thing is having fun because that is what got you start into it to start with.
Donna, my heartfelt sympathy to you, i am so sorry to hear of your beloved husbands' death. Sending gentle hugs your way.
Awh Sorry Theresa(Tob) that your wee lass' journey was in vain. That's not fair advertising a wage and then expecting the candidate to take a much lower wage after all her hard work. It obviously wasn't her time yet but like Cameeli, out there the perfect job is just waiting for the right talent to come along. Get some heat soothing in to your sore bits Theresa, but you did what any mum would to make your wee girl reach her dream so you are a Queen in her eyes and ours.
Well we have lovely weather at the moment, stupid O.H. is chiseling out for my window to go in with a pair of speedo swimming goggles on so the dust doesn't get in his eye and what a ticket he looks i can tell you. Is there any telling him? That'll be a no, so i am leaving him to it as i just get shouted at anyway.
Oh how happy you all made me with joining in with our childhood programs. The one that i think must have been my favourite had the fire station in it with Hugh Pugh, Barney Magrew, Cuthbert, Dibble and Grub(i think that was his name). Funny how you get something into to your head and can't get rid of it, like Shari and Lamb Chops, or Paddington Bear from Peru and his marmalade sandwiches. I think us of a certain age had the best of childrens telly as it was all good fun and they didn't speak(if you can call it that) making stupid noises. Thank you girls for brightening up my day with long ago memories, you are fantastic,
    Love and crafty hugs

    1. Hi Norah, the little divas only did it today cuz they were frustrsted with no pesky varmits to chase. They normally only get mucky when I'm around . Making sure hubby only sees them as his little princesses. They were little and fluffy when we had them but now definitely not lap dogs. The thought of them dressed up like princesses appeals to my weird sense of humour cuz it is so not them. Lol to you and your hills lynne m & mighty menaces x x x

  116. Hello Sue,
I think this card is lovely, like an outfit you can dress it up or dress it down, to suit the occasion, so yes, it works for me. The only thing I would change - I would use a paler colour card for the sentiment.
Busy morning in the garden, worked through to lunchtime hubby was out there to and yet it doesn't look any different!
Take care now, love Brenda xxx

Donna, So sorry to hear your sad news, thinking of you love and prayers.
TOB, what a day you had yesterday, hope your not suffering to much today. I'm sure there's something better around the corner for your daughter, that company didn't deserve her, with all her talents, she is too good for them.

  127. I think I've missed this pretty stamp entirely!! I have the embossing folder and the die used, but not the stamp. I do have others that will work. After watching the video this week, I've ordered the adhesive paper so I can do the card in it. I have the stained glass striplet so will be set to go.
What did you think of my idea re videos?

  132. Hi Sue,
I don't know what's happened, but I left a comment this morning and it was there and now it's gone! How strange is that! Well, I'll have another go and just hope I can remember what I said!! Today's card - I'm not sure about it I'm afraid, I think it's the black sentiment.however on the plus side I love your pinpoint embossing folders and I think for the background for this card I would use the floral pinpoint ( can't remember the name of it) and then go over it with something like pan pastels to bring out the pattern as I don't have ant background papers like yours.
Lynne I'm so pleased that your hubbie has seen the pesky critters at work - now he might have a bit of sympathy for you! Donna, I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. I hope today hasn't been too horrendous for you. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Heather, good to have you back. Lindsey pleased things are going well with stallion and foal and well done to your daughter.pam, I know you will miss your brother but he probably just needs to be with Robbie. It's good to hear Robbie is making some progress. Sending love and hugs to everyone who needs / wants them. Love to all, Alison xx

What a day! However I sat down with a glass of wine to read today's comments.

  137. Well I could have sworn I posted earlier Sue. Like others not so sure on today's card. But I'm sure in real life it's gorgeous, the camera sometimes doesn't do the finished article justice.
Lynne, we pop out dogs in microfibre bags, zip them up with. Just heads sticking out, they go in dirty and about 20 mins later they come out clean, they do look funny jumping around, but they sure do the job.
Janet hope your cake was lovely today, makes my mouth water just thinking about them.
Pam, Your Robbie is amazing, keeping my fingers crossed for more small milestones for him
Heather big hugs on this hard day for you.
    June, hugs as always.
Steph you do a marvellous job, but I know what you mean about not getting the cards done in the right order!
Love and hugs to all my friends on here, Alison, Karen, Julie and Lee, Theresa, TOB, Tina, Margaret, Norah, Cameeli, Tres, Myra, wheelybad to name but a few.
