Good Sunday morning all! I started this card by stamping the Butterfly Meadow stamp that matches my Spanish Collection. I used a black archival ink pad for this since it is a silhouette style stamp. I've noticed that many crafters aren't aware of this, but if you miss part of your image when you stamp, don't throw it away and don't use an ink pen to fill it in, but rather, use a black pencil as it will blend better and be far less noticeable. Just use a light hand. The ink will be easy to spot when tilted as it will grab the light differently.
Once stamped, I hand cut an irregular scalloped looking piece that I laid down and moved around as I lightly sponged varying shades of blue and purple to create a billowy sky. I stamped my sentiment in the upper corner, then used the Valencia cutting edge to cut the piece out. There is a butterfly in the stamp, but I cut the side view butterfly twice from the Magical Butterflies set and added some Midnight Snow to the edge of the wings. I glued them together for a 3D side view butterfly and added it over thee stamped image. To create the background for my focal element, I used the Basketweave embossing folder on coconut white card. I cut a border from my Italian Collection and added it to the left side of the card. I tied Sky Blue seam binding around the card horizontally and taped the ends to the back. I tied a messy bow and added it to the side of my focal piece. I made some stick pins to match (and yes those beads are actually blue in real life, not the lavender they look in the pics!) and a black crystal sparkler for the centre. I finished the card with some white and blue mats and used my Cosmic Shimmer white PVA glue to make dots all the way around the edge. Finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x 8" in size.

Good morning Sue and everyone. Love the stamp, background EF, stick pins - everything! I keep trying to ink but I'm too heavy handed and ruin things - any tips?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the winners, I hope it cheers you up to see your names (especially Wheely Bad and Nanna Tina).
Taking daughter to see "Little Mix" tonight, outdoor theatre so hoping it stays dry!!! Just trying to take her mind off looming exam results.
Sending wishes to those in pain. Sue xxx
Morning Sue and everyone
ReplyDeleteUp early today as our racing pigeons are due home from a race from France. A very different card today, but really lovely. Particularly like the way you have created the clouds Sue, very authentic. Congratulations to all the winners.
Have a lovely Sunday everyone.
Love and hugs

Good morning Sue, Pam and everyone on this lovely Sunday, lovely blue skies at the moment. What do we all think of the Commonwealth Games then, come on England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. Well Sue when you use stamps you bring the cards to life, this is gorgeous, I will certainly try that technique about the black pencil. Have a great day everyone, stay safe, healthy and happy. June Smith xx
ReplyDeleteGood morning Sue,
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card, your sky is fantastic, really life-like.
I used this stamp just yesterday but my card is nowhere near as beautiful as yours.
Hugs, Rose
Morning Sue,
ReplyDeleteI'm early today as I've been up since 2.30am, up on the ridgeway because they are blowing up our cooling towers for our old power station, good views from up there.
Awesome but a shame.
Love this morning card Sue, that's me back to bed now.
Gail C x
Hi Sue and everyone, this is a really stunning card, I love the way everything blends in so well together. The sky looks fab, and anything with butterflies does it for me. I have used your black tip with a pencil, it works well, so thank you
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the lucky winners x
Good Morning, Sue and fellow Wilsonettes.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card, Sue, love it !!
I used the new Cottage Stamp on a card for my youngest son yesterday, with some of the butterflies and daisies. I used Cream and Plum as my colour palette. I was very pleased with the end result : - )
Congratulations to all the winners, especially Tina and WheelieBad!!! Hope you're both feeling better.
Hugs ((( ))) as always, to Pam, Robbie, Tina, Julie & Lee and everyone in need.
Have a good day everyone,
Angela in S. Wales Xx
Good morning Sue this card is gorgeous. I love the stamped image and the clouds you have created. The whole effect is stunning. Congratulations to all the winners. Enjoy today. Hugs Jackie
ReplyDeleteAnother great card Sue.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Card, love how you have created the clouds, but how did you manage the basket weave finish surrounding the image, which you have then inked? Or have I got my basket head on this morning cause I can't think it out?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all the lucky winners especially Wheelybad and Nanna Tina ( a nice wee surprise )!
Hugs to all xo
Morning Sue, a beautiful card and the
ReplyDeletebutterfly looks right at home among
the flowers.
Nancyd xx
What a lovely card Sue - I have this stamp and just love it. I just wish I could make stick pins can't seem to find decent "beads" to go on the top. Anyone have any suggestions?? My thoughts to all who have troubles in their lives. Have a really good day all.
ReplyDeleteSunday Smiles to you Sue and my lovely special Wilsonettes. Have a wonderful day in N.Y Cam and partner (sorry Cam its early and your lovely partners name has escaped me)
ReplyDeleteWow Sunday breakfast in a proper American diner - love em :
Ohhhhh WOW - two poorly Wilsonettes have had their medication changed, the best EVER, a prize from our Sue, like Tina E's Wednesday win, it couldn't have come at a better time for you, hope you both start to feel upto crafting when your gift arrives. Well done to our other Wilsonette winners today, enjoy your gift ladies xx
If ONLY I could sell ALL I take today, lol it would take a miricle and a much larger market to do that im sorry to say ( plus I need to make Sue like cards) maybe 1 day they will be half a wonderful as I see here today. The amount of cards I mentioned on my comment yesterday has taken months and months of head down, non stop, push through the pain and tears hour's to make, that's without 'awkward' order's our daughters wedding stationary, spells away in hospital and more often than not lack of funds to buy what Ive needed ! But I beaver away hoping to make enough to start and save for the rest of the 1st SW die collection so I can start and save for the new collection, which by then will be the older collection !! LOL and now Ive woken your brain up and fuddled it around Im moving on : )
Todays card is so different, but amazing, a real W.O.W. (wonder of Wilson) that stamp is stunningly beautiful, I MUST get this stamp and try not to think about it for too long as by the time Ive ummed and arrrred over a stamp, and Ive got the money to buy it, its gone, so if I sell enough today, after paying for table space then I should order it : )
Well, better go wake the other 2 piggies (although one is a dog) the other sounds like a piggie, as I want that bedding on the line before all 3 piggies go to market !!
Whatever you have planned for today Sue, enjoy.
To my lovely Wilsonettes who may find today a bit of a struggle, then dony overdo it, and to all my lovely ladies, have a lovely Sunday.
Hugs for Pam and love to all.
Lancashire Steph xxx
Great card, Sue and thank you for reminding us about using black pencil to fill in. I had forgotten that very useful tip.
ReplyDeleteGM Sue - wow - another must try! I just love how the edges of the stamp co-ordinate with the basketweave embossing folder - anyone would think you designed it to do this - (JOKE! - I love silhouette plant stamps and the butterfly is lovely as are those moody clouds. Hubby is off fishing this morning so a few hours of crafty bliss can be had. Rgs
ReplyDeleteClare W
Morning Sue, another stunning card and thank you for the tip with the black pencil, I have thrown away many stamped pieces in the past, now I know what to do! Love Jean xxx. .......congratulations to all the winners!
ReplyDeleteHi Sue,
ReplyDeleteFirstly an apology. I'm sorry I didn't comment yesterday, I really thought I had - it must be the heat adding my brain!! Anyway the card was beautiful and congrats to Tina for winning the giveaway.
Today's card is gorgeous, I love the way you have done the clouds and then I noticed the butterfly! I nearly bought the set yesterday but went for the Auvergne background instead. Will have to hope the shop still has the set next weekend! The stamp is beautiful as well.
Congrats to all of the winners especially Wheely Bad and Nana Tina.
Cameeli glad things went well at hospital and have fabulous time in New York.pam hope things are ok with you in this heat and also hope Robbie is improving. Well done Steph on making 200 cards - hope the market goes well and that you have a sell out. Lynne hope hubbie doesn't wear you out with all of the waned rings - Dave is another one who has to be doing something and doesn't seem to understand that I like to stay in and craft or read sometimes!! Theresa hope you're feeling a little better after seeing that we do all care for each other on this blog. Norah hope you're ok. Lindsay, Lynne Gail, Julie, Tina, tres, Wheely bad, Pam, Steph, Cameeli, hugs to you all and to everyone I've missed have a great day and love to you all. Love Alison xxxx
Another lovely card, Sue, not a stamper but do admire the fantastic cloud effect - definitely one not to try!! Could never achieve this.
ReplyDeleteWell done to the winners, so pleased for WB and NT.
'P' in Wales
Tandy - hugs and best wishes.
morning Sue
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid I'm going to be in the minority today as I can't quite make my mind up about today's gift.
I love the butterfly but perhaps it's because I'm not all that happy about stamping being for main focal piece (it's my stamping ability that I'm questioning of course!).
I don't mind small amounts but having to do larger pieces frightens me. I shall have a go though and see what appears.
My Friday pastries were absolutely delicious and so am now looking forward to this week.
Big congrats to Wheelybad and Nanna Tina - I know you're going to enjoy your gift.
Steph - have a really good day with great results at the end of it. Just don't overdo things though.
Sandra - I'm going to try and get to you via your blog re the route you take. Hope I can manage it.
We have sunshine again this morning so we have happy smiles on our faces. We went to a Brocante yesterday (the equivelant to an antique/car boot sale) yesterday and came back with 10 brass drop handles - small - for himself and a nice little bundle of buttons for me - yes we were the last of the big spenders yesterday having spent just about £5.
Hope everyone is OK today and not suffering too much from your heat wave. Take care everyone.
See you tomorrow.
Just switch the coffee pot on as it's just about time for Mr E to return from the backery with bread for breakfast.
Janet x
A beautiful card, I like the muted blue and purple background but I find these mixed backgrounds hard to achieve. I think I will have another today while the idea is fresh in my mind.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Beautiful card today Sue - I especially like the cloud background. Congrats to all the winners.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the winners and I love this card it's very pretty.
Love anything which you stamp. x
Good morning Sue,
ReplyDeleteWhat is stunning card Sue, I bought this stamp at Ally Pally, because it goes with the Cordoba die and I already had that. Love the way you have created the sky - must practice that, it's just beautiful.
Up early today as Mr L has taken our elder daughter husband and sons to Gatwick airport. Then tomorrow he does the same thing again with our younger daughter husband and children but not quite so early!
Congratulations to all the lucky winners, lovely to see your names up there Nanna Tina and Weely Bad.
Hope you have a good day.
Take care, love Brenda xxx
Sending special hugs to Tandy hope the results are positive. Tres, Lynne M, TOB, Myra, Yorkielass, Diane hope you're aunt had a lovely 50s party and you had a good journey. Steph, you sound up and ready for that markets good luck. Norah, hope that garage clear out went well and you and Mr Mc P are still talking to each other!!!
Big gentle Sunday hugs for anyone who needs them, sending love and prayers to all
Good morning Sue, and another beautiful morning it is. The card is gorgeous once again, love the butterfly stamp and your tip. Must try that next time my stamping goes wrong. Congratulations to the lucky winners. JB xxxx
ReplyDeleteHi Sue,
ReplyDeleteThis card is stunning I love the stamp and thank you for the tip about filling in the missed bits. Hope this works as I'm away from home and the old internet is very hit and miss .

Hi Sue, Yet again another Extremely Beautiful Card, I Love everything you used to make this Card. I Love how you started by creating your Card using various shades of Blue's/Purple and sponging them on your card to create The Most Tremendous Sky!
ReplyDeleteI Love The Butterfly Meadow Image, and since you mentioned about using a Pencil if all the image doesn't stamp through (I believe it was on a Video shot when I first saw you do this) I do it all the time, I've always got a Black Pencil to hand, and I mentioned this to The Ladies who go to the Craft Class I attend and I know some of them use it also. The Great thing is about this Image is that it matches one of your Die's from your Spanish Collection you've used Valencia Die Set. I really Love The Awesome Butterfly that you've placed on your Card where you've cut two from your
Majical Butterfly Set the side view then once you've glued them together, you've placed it onto your Card looking Truly Stunning!
I Love The Basketweave Embossing Folder you've used and your fabulous Mat/Layering, Love The Sky Blue Seam Binding, your Fabulous Messy Bow, Black Crystal and your Beautiful Stick Pins.
Sue I can't Thank You enough for sharing your wonderful Cards with us each and every Day off The Year, Thank You For All Your Hard Work, Thank You for The Great Photography Shots, Thank You for this Wonderful Blog. Good morning Sue & lovely ladies,
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card today, I really like those scene type stamps are so pretty and very versatile, they are big stamps too, so you don't to do much else!
Steph, good luck today at the market, it's a huge achievement to have made that many cards despite all the hurdles you had to get over! So fingers crossed x
Pam, sending love your way and to Robbie, I do hope that he is continuing to improve, such a determined young man, he must have made his parents super proud!
My eldest (Matt ) and eldest of three daughters (Becca) both suffer from psoriatic arthritis, they have a lot of painful, swollen joints, the medication they have had to endure is horrendously toxic, it breaks my heart, but I am so immensely proud that the pair of them get up for work every single day, no fuss, my son is a farmer so his job his super strenuous too!
Cameeli & Mari, I hope you are up and about, having a delicious New York style and then off sightseeing or is it shopping today? Remember you have to carry all you buy home!
Congratulations to our lucky winners, enjoy your goodies!
I have to try and start packing and organising stuff for holiday, there is so much to remember, we did have a giggle the other day, Sophie & Lucy (my twins) got their suitcases from last year and gave a quick try on of all their "holiday clothes", well you would have thought that somebody had removed all theirs and replaced them with stuff ten times smaller! Their shorts wouldn't go past their knees, it would appear that my gorgeous little 14 year olds have transformed like butterflies into beautiful curvaceous young ladies! When did that happen!! So I guess that we have to go shopping, humph! Not my favourite pastime!
Anyway enough waffling for today!
I sincerely hope that you lovely ladies have a super relaxing Sunday, special hugs to you all,
Sandra xxxx
Morning Sue, This card is beautiful, very ethereal in look, I'm especially loving the clouds you have inked onto the gorgeous stamping, and the stunning die you have used to cut this out with is fabulous. I love the whole of this card !!

Hi Sue. I love this one. The Butterfly Meadow stamp is so beautiful and I love the clouds and the basket weave around the top too. I love the butterfly and making it 3D makes it even prettier. Thank you for the black pencil tip. I will be trying that very soon no doubt as I often miss a little bit. It is so annoying how colours can change on pics isn't it! I hope you are having a great time with your Mom.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all of the winners today : )

Hi Sue
ReplyDeleteAnother stunning card today. I like these type of cards as well as you don't need to add much to them. I don't have this exact stamp but do have one that's very similar. Thanks for the tip regarding the black pencil. I've used a momentous pen before, so that's why it doesn't always look quite right. Must keep practising with the sky technique Sue. I have a stamp that does the same thing but it's only 6x6 so if you want to do a bigger piece you can't.
Hope you have a fantastic time in New York Cameeli, you deserve a rest.
Hugs as usual to you and Robbie Pam and I hope he's going on ok.
Hope you have a good day at the market Steph after putting in all that hard work. I'm sure your cards are as nice as Sue's Steph or else they wouldn't sell.
Norah, I'm glad that someone can clear a she'd out. My partners idea of clearing a she'd is to pull it all out and stack it back in neatly. He then uses it and puts it back just inside the door. Hence he than has a mess and cNt get in the shed. It is 26yrs old and some things have never seen the light of day.
Sandra hole it's not to hot for you today as I know you have been suffering with the heat. You must be mighty proud of your gorgeous children, I know I would be. They are a credit to you both. Hope Milo the cat is feeling better after his op. I know how you feel about your girls growing out of their clothes, I to have the same problem, but probably not for the same reason.
Hope the weather isn't causing you to many problems either Mrs B.
Hugs to everyone who needs one today.
Hi Sue, what a very beautiful card, love the sky, and the side view butterfly. Great tip with the black pencil, need to remember that. Congrats to all the winners. Enjoy the day everyone. Bx

Good morning. Bit cooler today, hope you are enjoying your weekend. I do love these sort of cards. Silhouette stamping is always a favourite as they don't require colouring in, which I do find just a little bit taxing. A very clever tip about the pencil as I have found black pen to be too harsh. Thanks for that. I do like to do clouds too and have found that a dry wetwipe inked up gives a very soft and gentle effect. xx Maggie (better without a bow)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card and thanks for the tip about missed areas of stamping - I would have used one if my fine liners but what you say makes perfect sense xx enjoy the rest of your weekend xx GailT xx
ReplyDeleteMorning all, another beautiful card, my stamping is not great so I use the black pencil a lot. I adore the stick pins you make.
ReplyDeleteHad my first outing on my scooter I didn't hit anything (hooray)my poor hubby didn't know what to do with himself now he doesn't have to push my wheelchair. I wish I had got one earlier it's so much fun, and I felt great having a bit of independence, its a shames that some of the shops are so jam packed with items that you cant get into them, with a wheelchair or a scooter. I feel ok today so I am off to my craft room to finish a scrapbooking project for my friend to give to her partner.
Congrats to all the winners.
I hope you are all keeping well and for those that need it (too many to mention) a huge hug to ease your pain or sorrow. Love and hugs Theresa x
Morning all. What a lovely card, and the butterfly is the icing on the cake.

Another lovely card sue, and thank you for the tip about the black pencil, I am not a good stamper and often find I miss a bit.
ReplyDeletePaula x
This is another really stunning card Sue, the butterfly gives the image more dimension. Great tip about the pencil - I'm assuming you have used the pencil to do some zen tangle around the edge of the top part of the stamped image? Is there a particular type of pencil you use?
ReplyDeleteHugs Alice xx
Hi Sue, a gorgeous card and I love it. The stamp is beautiful and your clouds are amazing. Thanks for the tip about using a black pencil. I have always used a fine line pen so will try the pencil trick next time.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all of today's winners, if your day started as dull as ours then it will have brightened things up considerably :)
Frances
Good Morning Sue,
ReplyDeleteWhat could be better to start another beautiful day than with another of your stunning cards. Thanks for sharing this and congratulations to all of todays winners. Enjoy the rest of your day Sue
Margaret A.
Good morning Sue, and all the ladies.
ReplyDeleteAnother gorgeous card from Sue, and the tip about the black pencil is so good. I have been stamping for at least 15 years and have never heard that before!
I used to stamp with all sorts before "proper" stamps started being made for the masses!!
Congratulationns to all the winners.
Have a good day everyone,, well as good a day as some of you can have, and love to all and Yorkielass and Sue xx
Good Sunday Morning to you Sue,
ReplyDeleteWhat a different card this is for today . Love to see stamping for a change and certainly an inspiration for me. I have the stamp already and will try and create a similar card, thank you for sharing your talented inspirations.
Lots of love,
Ivy Ling x
Lovely card today, unusual colour scheme but it shows the dies and stamps off beautifully.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing it with us all.
Congratulations to all the winners today too.
Craftihappiness to everyone, love from Pearl.

ReplyDeleteHi Sue, Lovely card, especially your lovely sky which is very topical. Have a good day. SueL x
ReplyDeleteWow!
ReplyDeleteAt last a technique l know l can do! All l have to do now is improve my stamping. Particularly love your butterfly, it's gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue,
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous card we have once again! I love that stamp - and will have a go at creating the sky. Your sky is so beautiful. Another use for the gorgeous butterflies too.
I also love the pale blue seam binding and bow , stick pins and dazzler. Now we see the benefits of a gorgeous stamp to match the die cut . Thanks Sue, so very much.
Alice G - the bit that looks like zen tangle on the edge is actually on the stamped image. Hope this helps.
Congratulations to all the winners but especially Wheelybad and Nanna Tina .
Still very warm today but although we had some rain around 10pm last night you'd never know this morning!
Theresa - glad your outing on your new scooter went well. You sound really up beat today! Great! Sending love.
Brenda - Grandads make brilliant taxi drivers to airports! My husband does that too and the children are so excited both going away and coming back!
Sandra - my grand daughter came last week and I hadn't seen her for three weeks - she is now taller than me! Now that does not make her a giant - I'm only 5ft 4in but she is only 13 years old! Expensive times with growing children.
Love to all friends on the blog - I've got to go - got visitors.
Love Myra
Hi Sue, Such a pretty stamp that could feature on a male card without the bow naturally., and what I like is the fact that you don't have to colour it as I'm not very good at that. I adore the border edge and use it on almost every card I make. it cuts beautifully and even makes a great rosette. Thank you for a super card. Hugs Pauline A x
ReplyDeleteHi Sue and all, another lovely card
ReplyDeletewendy in watford
Hi Sue
ReplyDeleteSimply gorgeous, love the stamp and thank you for the tip with the pencil I would normally throw it in the bin! The side on butterfly is beautiful well all the butterflies from your set are beautiful , I haven't stopped using them since they arrived.
Congratulations to all the lucky winners
Best wishes to everyone, Pat

ReplyDeleteVery pretty card, I love this stamp. Great tip using the black pencil to fill in, my stamping is not the greatest along with others I see. I guess I need more practice.
Hi Sue Well things are getting 'betterer and betterer' with this card. Story, am just going to start on nieces b'day card and was thinking 'Italian, flowers and background'!! Think you have given me some great ideas. I have this stamp so am on my way!. Thanks again and I think it is the most gorgeous card and grateful for the tip re pencil Hugs Maureen

ReplyDeleteMorning Sue,
Very pretty card. Love the way the edge of the stamp matches the background. X
What a lovely colour combination today, love it.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue
ReplyDeleteI love this card I particularly like silhouette stamping and this is just gorgeous.
June x
Good afternoon Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card and a great tip about the black pencil. I loved this stamp when i first scene it but only got it when at the demo as i couldn't resist any longer. Thank you Sue as you inspire us each and every day.
Oh boy, another exciting line up that i would jump up and down to if i had the ability. What a great day seeing Wheely Bad and Nanna Tina both being winners today. Ladies this is probably the most powerful medicine and you don't need water with it(maybe a wee bit drink but definitely no water). I am so really happy for both of you lovely ladies. I also see Ivy Leong and a number of others which i hope this has made your Sunday Ladies, well done and enjoy your prize when it comes.
Janet(Ecco) take the piece of card to the stamp and rub all over. This is a Sue tip and i can finally get it to come out properly with the bigger ones(anything that is more than 2 words). You have just got me drooling at your pastries, the French seem to have the lightest hands when it comes to making baking. I'm with you when it comes to last of the big spenders as i think that you did well.
Tandy i hope you get good news from the hospital and the tests.
Steph, what didn't you take so that you would be up at the crack of dawn? I hope you have a great day at the market today and sell a good lot of your cards after all the pain and time you have put in and went through making your mini masterpieces. I am going to give you a row though, please stop putting your creations down. You have worked so hard, you get asked to make an inspiration for people, they wouldn't ask or buy if your miniature beauties weren't a sight to behold and the people who receive them are over the moon, so please don't keep beating yourself up. You are a wonderful lady and person who is damn stubborn to give in, you make an awful lot of people happy including Mr L.
Sue(CraftySuetoo) i hope that it stays dry for your daughters night out. What a wonderful mum, but had you heard Little Minx? as it could be a long night if not your cup of coffee(i don't drink tea).
June(Smith), i don't watch sport but i am hoping that our teams do well in the games especially with it being on home soil.
No Brenda, we are not speaking but not about the garage. When we went on holiday it was always my mum and dad that took and came for us(he had a Caravanette) as they were the first people i needed to see.
Sandra, Matt and Becca must get the go on spirit from you and your determination to carry on through it. Your ""babies" have as you say blossomed into beautiful young ladies, please try to enjoy the shopping trip as it can be quite fun when it is just the girls. Emergency supply of tablets and plenty of cafe stops helps immensely.
Hope Cameeli and partner are having a ball, Robbie is continuing to make progress and you are all having a lovely Sunday.
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil)

Beautiful card Sue! Your matching stamp and dies are amazing and really finish a card of perfectly.
ReplyDeleteI to have problems finding beads to make my own stickpins. I cannot find the fancy long ones that go on the top of the stickpin and have lost patience trying to look online for them. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Congratulations to all the comments winners!!!!!
Hi Barbara. Samuel Taylor's is an Creative Expressions stockist and have 3 o 4 shops in Yorkshire and the internet shop in Leeds, they stock Creative Expressions 'plain' stick pins for you to add your own colour co-ordinated beads etc. They have an excellent reputation ( I adore floating round their shop after Ive been to my hospital in Leeds) and I mean float as Im in crafting heaven when I go there, but never have enough to spend so I also have a mega jib as I walk out lol.
DeleteHope my 'ramblings' have helped !
Lancashire Steph xx
Just had to write again to let you know that I have seen one of Stephs cards and it was beautiful, she is such a talented and strong lady.
ReplyDeleteI feel more upbeat today after chatting with Steph by e-mail last night. Thank you. Hugs Theresa x
another stunning card Sue.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue. Love the arrangement on the card, but not keen on black. So I would change the colours. Well done all the winners. Have a great week. Hugs. Jan. xx
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon Sue and all the wonderful Wilsonettes.
ReplyDeleteWow, wow, wow! I've had the biggest smile on my face all the way from opening the email, through reading all your comments and although the only bit of me that's moving is my almost pointy finger tapping slowly on the screen there's a person inside me doing a happy dance that is very similar to the one that the little gopher in "Caddy shack" does as the end of the film! Thank you so, so, so, so much Sue, it is amazingly generous of you to do all these things for us. Much love xxxxx
Congratulations to all the other winners too, Especially Nanna Tina. I hope your feeling ok and recovering well.
You're right girls, it IS the best prescription change EVER!
OK, onto the card, which I love. Stamping and making inky messes is my first crafty love. Aaaah, I remember the excitement of stamping onto my first Spellbinder and colouring it in like it was 10 minutes ago (misty eyed, 80's bread advert moment)! I do love these stamps Sue, they are so well balanced and that they fit a particular die or dies is great. I adore the embossing folders design and all the colour and pretty little details make a lovely card. I must admit I raised a smile at 'get well', like a message for all my Wilsonette friends. "Well" means something different to all of us, and 'get well' is to be in the best condition we can be in, it's a message of hope and a message to treasure good days and happy experiences I think. :-)
Good luck fame01 for race for life, Theresa I'm glad you got out on your scooter so soon after getting it, I'm made up for you all over again! Excited hugs for you both x
Lancashire Steph. The number of cards you've made, what a phenomenal achievement. I'm sure they are gorgeous and you are too modest and I really hope you sell as many as possible, good luck hugs and try not to overdo it and rest as much as possible after xxx
Lindsay- how exciting!!! Please keep us posted on your hunt for a new pony x
Happy hugs for all, especially CraftySuetoo, Pam & Robbie, Angela W, Anne C, Brenda, Alison 'Alimecca', Janet 'Ecco', Margaret Corgi Owner, Jess, Yorkielass June, Norah, Lindsay, Lynda, Myra P & Maria plus anyone I forgot, this post is nearly an hour in the making so I need to give my finger a rest. Billy sends wags and woofs to all Wilsonette fur babies big and small x
Being picked out and you all being so happy for me has made what started as a crummy day a billion times better. I can only assume that the crazy paving in the town centre yesterday vibrated my body into a major state of shock. On the severe end of the scale so If it doesn't calm down after a day in bed then we may have to ring the doctor but until then I can't get too antsy about it as there's not a lot bar meds and rest I can do. Todays surprise has made everything a lot more bearable. I shall think of you all while I beaver away, crochet hook rammed in wrist brace (one day I will you tube how I achieve this as it may help someone else)
To Sue and my Wilsonette friends, I wish you all well whatever you are doing today
Love T x
ReplyDeleteHi Sue. Love the card yet again. I have the stamp and although I have not stamped any cards for quite awhile I will certainly have a go at this one.
Take care,
Evis McCarthy.
Hi Sue
ReplyDeleteLove this card I wish I was a confident stamper. Thank you for all the kind words. I really missed not being able to blog as it really cheers me up as things are not so good at the moment. Steph I hope the good weather brought you lots of customers today and you can buy some of Sue's wonderful dies. Love and hugs to all.
Hi, forgot to say congratulations to all the winners.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue,
ReplyDeleteHope this is ok!
BARBARA - you asked about beads! I don't want to promote companies on the blog that have nothing to do with Creative Expressions - however if you google teardrop beads you will find the lovely coloured ones you are looking for. Teardrop is just the shape. Just make sure the hole is at the bottom point of teardrop rather than through the middle! Hope this helps. Myra .x

good evening sue and ladies, such a beautiful card and i have this stamp but am not a great stamper but the tip about the pencil is ace, i must practise the cloud stamping but i have done it before it just needs practise, i love the colours sue has used and actually i think this would make a nice sympathy card minus the stick pins and i have to make one of those for thursday, on the subject of beads i volunteer in a charity shop ( which keeps me sane ) but you can get tons of old necklaces and if they are nice they will keep them for you if you ask, congratulations to all the winners and thank you sue, love J
ReplyDeleteHi Sue
