Welcome home although it must be sad leaving your Mom. Like Jan I wasn't sure if the colour until I saw the last photo that shows the true colour. Will watch the video later because I am off to our caravan for a few days. The card is lovely and agree it would be a nice card for a man. Your Californian sets A and B are very useful and make layering so easy.

  32. Hi Sue. Hope you returned home safe n sound and at a decent time ! Morning Wilsonettes.
At first glance I wasnt sure, but looking again, yeah, I like it, very 'cheeky' and ideal for a red blooded male, although for anyone that likes burlesque then it would be ideal for them too. Without scrolling back up to check if what Im about to say is daft or not, would there be room to decorate the basque with a tiny bit ostrich feather maybe ?
Its not a stamp I would choose to add to my stash, but you always show the best in everything whereas I wouldnt be able to show it off at its best. Im not that good.
Poor Cassie bitten by a rockwotsit dog yesterday so off to the vet to get her checked, her poor little ear just bled and bled, so more antibiotics and pain meds, at last it has stopped bleeding !
Well a week today our beautiful girl becomes a wife, you watch the weather change !
At least the football (swear word in our house) hasn't ruled her future hubby's life and wont be spending their honeymoon watching tv !!!!! Off to try and get shoes and bag today, then im done, just need to organise myself ready for sunday market and make a few more cards !
Hoping you manage a little rest today before your busy weekend Sue.
Sending love and hugs to all that need comfort today.
    Love you.

  37. GM Sue - what a card! love it - and although I still love the quilled leaves the set A&B are also a fave - love them - thank you.

Wondered if you can tell us what colour/make that light blue pencil is you use - any particular HB you would recommend? I've just had a look at my coloured pencils and the light blue in there seems too dark compared to what you are using - could you recommend one perhaps?

Finally - love that blue/green top you are wearing - you must have quite a few tops as you never seem to wear the same one twice in your videos - assuming you film lots of cards at the same time you must be forever changing your top!

Well houseworks calls and then more crafty sorting - it's amazing just how long all this takes but it will be worth it when I can find everything again.

    Welcome home

    morning Sue
I have had a little difficulty with your video this morning. I managed to see about half of it and then it just stopped playing. Never mind I got the jist of it.
I love kraft card/paper - it takes me back to my childhood when brown paper bags and wrapping were the only things available (or that we could afford! So it goes without saying that today's colour scheme for today's gift is superb.
Although specific images are not my choice as focal elements there are times when an image comes along and just shouts 'use me' and today's is one of those. I shall be conjuring one of these before too long as I have just the person in mind to receive.
Still trying to pack one or two craft goodies without 'hawkeye' watching me!!
Hope you had a good flight Sue and not too tired today.
Take care everyone and see you tomorrow.

Welcome back to England. Hope you had a good journey back. My word Sue this card is a bit cheeky, but I'm loving it. A basque stamp isn't one I would buy but thanks for sharing it with us. The men would love this. Wish there was a pool cloud where we could all share each other's stamps if we needed to. Sometimes I think I would like to made a so and so card but don't have the right stamp. Wouldn't want to go and buy one especially for a one off, but just have a lend of one. Looking forward to seeing you back on our tv. Hope you had a lovely day yesterday Norah with your friends. Hope your hills are sunny that it is here in a not to sunny Witney. Welcome back, looking forward to seeing you on our screens again, can't wait.

We were at the Dolly Parton concert last night in Glasgow, she Is some gal! It was really good but we both thought that some of her songs were overpowered by the band, who were really loud, and it was hard to make out what she was singing, it was a good night otherwise.

  74. Good morning Sue & lovely Blog Friends,
Ooh a cheeky one today, I have that stamp set and yes Steph you can add feathers, ribbons etc, it really sets the images off, they are a really fun set of dies! Oh I wish I could fit my body in something like that, the image in my mind is of my husband rolling around the floor laughing! So maybe not the desired effect, I'll stick to my fleecy jamas! Lol
The matting and layering aspect of your dies is what sets them apart from any other dies on the market Sue, you can tell that a crafter has sat and thought about what the perfect solution and YOU did it!
I can't wait for a peak at the new dies, any chance of a tease.....pretty please?!
Lynda & Myra, it was so lovely to hear from you yesterday, it really made my day and I have left you a reply, maybe we could exchange emails? There are many of you that I would love to contact, lovely Cameeli you in particular! How was the H & S exhibition? Hope you are resting a little today!
Janet (Yorkielass) I have visions of you hiding things inside shoes etc in you case, it must be like going through customs before you leave home!
Well today I must try and tidy my craft room, I didn't realise what a terribly messy crafter I was, I made one card yesterday, but when I am in full 'design' stage I pull out different bits and pieces to see if they work together, but I don't get up and put all the bits away until the end, Paul (lovely husband) will come in to bring me a cuppa and I can see him cringe, I think his fingers are itching to move things and put them away, he will say "did you notice there is a piece of paper on the floor" or some other pearl of wisdom, he is a neat and tidy man you see, couldn't work in the crazy mess I create! I would love to work like Sue in her lovely Studio set in the videos, but I am sure even Sue isn't that neat and tidy!
I just have to wait for my medication to kick in!
Julie I hope your new medication works for you, I take something similar (oxycodone) which is also morphine based, at first it knocked me out after every dose but now it doesn't , so give it time, the worry with those drugs is the longer you have to take them for the harder it is to stop taking them! Fingers crossed that they allow you to take control of your pain and get your life back. Hugs to you x
Sue I hope you get time to control your jet lag before the manic preparations for your weekend, I can't wait for your shows!
Hugs to all my lovely blog friends, you really do make my life so much brighter!!

I wouldn't dream of wasting such a lovely card on a man (lol. It's gorgeous and would be wasted on them! I had forgotten all about turning corners back, isn't it funny how these things come and go in our memory?
Well, I've made some notes -
Julie Laz, I hope the meds work and you soon feel a bit better.
    Maxine from Canada, welcome.
    Gail, Happy Anniversary.
Janet, my hawkeye must have trained yours! The amount of goodies I get delivered to my house and tell him that I've done it for my friend so that her husband doesn't realise what she's spending - and he believes me!! ha ha
Lancashire Steph, enjoy your daughter's wedding, mine got married 21 years ago and I think we celebrated for about a year!! (not because we were glad to get rid of her, but because we were so happy. She met her husband at school at the age of 13 and married him at 24).
Oh, there's loads of notes I've made for Cameeli, Norah, Clare (the toe), Ang but I'll just wish everyone a lovely day. xx

  90. Good morning Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
This is a beautiful card i think it would appeal to many people. I love the colours that you have used as they give the basque that opulent look. I love the fact that you have made the dies so interchangeable and in the varying sizes that we need, but it takes a crafters' mind to realise what is needed to take our creations from homemade to handmade. Thank you Sue and welcome back home, although never sure whether your home is here or home is Florida and on holiday here.
Oh was i jumping up and down yesterday as i couldn't believe it when Neil emailed me to look at the winners list,i thought it was to see his latest creation. I went from 0mph to 100mph is 10 secs flat i think with excitement and to see some of my blog friends names up there was for me the icing on the cake.
Thank you ladies for all your lovely wishes, i have never ever experienced anything like that before and thank you doesn't even cover what you gave to me yesterday. I think i must have been the luckiest person alive when i found such friendship as i have here in this special blog.
Thank you Susan(Paper Junkie) for the Icon help, it is much appreciated.
Welcome Nicola Chidley. There is a few of us old crocks on this blog and you will gain so much friendship from the beautiful people on here.
Nancy D, my mum had her eyes done a couple of years ago and it made the biggest difference. Up here in Scotland, it is roughly about 18 -26 weeks between each eye getting done.
Sandra you are so right about pets as they definitely know when something is wrong with you as they sort of snuggle beside you as if to keep a close watch. Tia sticks like glue to me when i am worse than normal, she just seems to know. She might be as daft as a brush, but she is one of the most caring that i have ever known. She came in the other day with the head down as if to say "mum, Buster next door has something to eat and i don't and he wont share". It is really pathetic the look that she gave me, so i went to see what goodies i had for her, that gotten away she went with the tail wagging outside and looked at Buster to say "see my mummy loves me too", i was just looking to see if the tongue was getting stuck out at him. Boy does she know how to wrap me around her paw.
Heather (Cr@fty), have a great few days away at the caravan.
Awh Steph, poor wee Cassie, i hope that the vet has sorted her and stopped the bleeding. I wish that all dog owners would keep a closer eye on their animals, but the ones that do are always the ones that more considerate anyway.
Gail, congratulations on 38 years of marriage, i hope you both have a lovely day if possible. Sending hugs to you and your brother, i truly hope that he gets his treatment soon.
Janet(Ecco) just tell him they are requirements for the journey and you won't be lying. I always took my knitting as it amazing just what you can accomplish in a short space of time. I can't sit and do nothing, so the knitting has always went, even on honeymoon. Toad used to work constant nightshift, so he always slept during the day, so hence the reason i took it on honeymoon. When Kirsten was 3, they kept going on at me about sunbathing. Well one of the days i took the knitting and sat on the lounger to get a suntan. 4 hours later, i was a lovely shade of tomato red and there was a white square on my front where my knitting had been with 2 lovely straight lines from the needles being under the arms, not a good look i can assure you.
Well we are at the Costa de Glenochil again today with the weather so beautiful, my hills so clear and vivid showing off it's splendor to all who want to look.
Anyway, take care everyone with gentle hugs for all our fragile friends in one way or another. I hope the sun is shining out where you are and if not, let it shine from within.
    Love and crafty hugs
    Norah (Glenochil)

Oh the embarassment , pesky critters haircut today, you would think that they would like being pampered but no, lets create a scene by digging our claws into the pavement and plonking our bums down. Could I get them to budge no way, so I had to try to pick each one up one handed ( left arm not much good) and get them to the van. As I went to put them in the van they climbed all over me to get away. What wusses!!!!.
Well they certainly look better now and are busy rubbing themselves all over the lounge carpet. I will never understand my poochies.

Love and hugs to all my blog friends, hope your day brings you some joy. Lol lynne & pesky critters x x x

They are very pretty, lacey looking flowers. great sentiment to. I am not so keen on the corset stamp, but then that is just my personal opinion. I have some CE shoes and dresses stamps that I love and would use one of those instead.
