Hi bloggers! It is finally video day again! If you remember the card that I showed several weeks back with the inlaid Faux Quilled leaves, I said that there was a video showing the technique and this is it. I hope you enjoy the video as it shows a step by step method to achieve this technique and it is really very easy to do. Don't forget to become a subscriber to my YouTube channel while you're there!

Hi Sue, love this card, and a great video showing how to do it. Bx
Morning Sue. I love the quilled leaves card when you showed that card and this one is just as beautiful. So pleased you made a video of this technique so we can follow it step by step as some times i need pictures to follow as words just don't do it lol. Can see this in many different colour ways and with some of my other dies. Thanks for taking the time to make all of the videos.
Best Wishes.

Good morning Sue
What a great technique it's one that has a whole host of possibilities for us. Today's card is simple but elegant, the colours are my favourite and I love that it's flat for posting because the postage has gone up so much. I posted my granddaughter's birthday card yesterday and it was very expensive (it would have been cheaper to have delivered it by hand) LOL.
Hugs x

Hi Sue and everyone a simple but pretty card with great techniques x
Hi Sue and all Wilsonettes from a lovely sunny Bolton (all set to change soon) !
What a clean crisp looking card today. You have shown us that 'flat' cards are just as effective as layered, and the video tutorial was great, thank you. I remember the faux leaf card you did a few weeks back and thought how lovely and simple, but effective that was, and that I should save for that set, but now you have shown us your rose dies used this way, I need these also, oh well, maybe someone should design a Teramundi pot for crafters !
Im still not a pro on what dies can be used for certain projects, so can the faux quilled flowers be used like this ? If anyone can advise me on that or any other die that can be used in a similar way id be so grateful - thank you.
Off for my infusion today then back to my card marathon ! Thank goodness the other hospital have not called to get me in as Im far too busy to spend time away from my craft space !
Welcome to our newest canine Wilsonette ( 3 so far this year)
Caring hugs for our Pam today. And Gail, thinking of you all.
Have a great day Sue, hope your weather is perking up (although I bet its still lovely and warm even if it is dull and cloudy) and to all our Wilsonette family, hugs to those that need hugs.
Lancashire Steph xx
Hi Sue
These are the dies along with the leaves that are next on my list, will watch video later as finally my new sofa will be delivered tomorrow so got to sort the room out ready and my new GC has a rattle and a loose handle so awaiting instructions on what they are going to do about it as only had it a month.
Lovely card and I have some new coloured card on order so will be having a play once I get my GC back as can't do much with my cuttlebug.
Love and hugs to all
Happy crafting

Hi Sue
Another stunning card today. I love the style of this card and the dies you have used. Your dies sure are versatile. as usual I will have to watch the video later. never seem to find a minute to myself just lately. The day seems to slip away from me. I'm off to school again today. To see what I can learn from the little ones. They are all so funny with what they come out with. It's so rewarding helping with their reading.
morning Sue
Today's gift is just one that all of us crafters need.
Use any colour scheme. simple and straightforward. More than useful; especially for those pesky men in our lives.
This rose die is something else. It was one of the first dies I bought and I don't think I've used any of my other flower dies since. They make beautiful mini stained glass windows and I just happened cut a few yesterday for a thank you card I'm making.
Take care everyone. See you tomorrow. It's my fortnightly crafty afternoon at my local library and as it's the first since I got back from France. I just know it's going be very busy and I have to make double sure I have everything. I have to get back into the routine.
Janet
Hi Sue love the technic you have used and would never have thought of it ,you are one clever lady.

How cool is this! So glad you did the video, I would never have guessed that's how this was accomplished. In the end you really have the components to make two cards cos you can just swop the colours and make two sets of decorative inserts- fabulous, I love this.

Hello Sue. Love this card and really wanted to have a go. Clean, simple but so effective. It would work in so many colour ways such as black and gold or black and white with a hint of pink/green/yellow. OK I'm getting carried away now! xx Maggie (so much better without a bow)
Hi Sue,
This is a two-fer from me today. I posted earlier this morning but have just watched your video so let me get my dies and get started! I haven't got your flower dies yet but am going to improvise and use maybe a Parisian accent die. If it doesn't work, hey-ho it's good practice anyway. xx
A really lovely card today Due, so effective!
Hi Sue, yay,yay it's video day!
Love learning the new techniques, clean, simple card, great for posting, it's one of those minimum input/maximum effect cards.
Hugs to all,
Sandra xx
Morning Julia,
Love the clean lines on this card. X
Morning Sue, love the simplicity of this card, and as has been said great for posting. Have some time free this morning so might just try this one.
Steph hope all goes well today,
June thanks for the hugs, Lynne hope those girls got so e rest last night so they are ready to entertain you today.
Last night was a late one as just as I was about to go to bed I saw foal number five was on the way, simple birth this time, and a nice healthy filly foal to join the ranks. This one is called Fiona, and was Sues name choice, so this is a Wilsonette foal, a first I think! Fauna is still with us, no more episodes of choke, but her respiration rate is still quite high but she is still on antibiotics so hopefully this will bring it down, other than that she is putting on weight every day and is strong girl so am keeping my fingers crossed for her.
Pam so pleased your daughter has rescued a dog, buster sounds like he has fallen on his paws. Thinking of you all, brain is in mush mode so names are escaping, but you are all in my thoughts even Norah who I hope isn't too poorly as to why is is AWOL. Hugs xx
Good morning Sue and all Wilsonettes out there. Well today started sunny but now there is this big black cloud approaching.
Todays card is just simply beautiful. I saw the card your did with the leaves and I got that die to try it - I have this die so I think it may be a day for trying out your techniques.
Hugs to all who need them am off for an assessment today at a MS Therapy Centre so I'm a little apprehensive as I don't know what to expect.
Have a great day everyone. Helen xx

Hi Sue. WOW !! A fab video as always and a gorgeous card to !! I really loved the card you made like this one with the faux quilled leaves dies and I am so glad you have made an easy to follow video showing this fab technique !!
This is an absolute must try technique !!! I don't think I could resist putting pearls in the center of the flowers though !! I think it looks very impressive. Also the fact that it is flat for posting is another huge bonus. Thank you so much Sue, for another wonderful card and a very informative video. It helps me so much to actually see what you are doing rather than trying to follow written instructions as my brain can't cope very well !!

Lynne M, I love reading your stories about your beautiful little doggies, please don't ever stop !! I look forward to reading about them everyday !! I have two doggies and a cat and they all have such different personalities. When I first met my other half, I already had my cat called Charlie and my other half already had the two dogs called Fudge and Charlie !! As you can imagine it can be very confusing at times but great fun !!

Lovely card. I am a little confused as to why you cut the 2 halves apart, because they are the same when put together as they are before you cut them? Did I miss something?

Hi Sue,
Clean, simple and striking are the most apt words to describe today's offering. My Sister-in-law loves teal, so she would adore this card.
I'm glad you did the video, the design is deceptively simple, once you know how the magic is done. This is one I have got to try, TODAY, if I can just get that pile of ironing to magically disappear.
Abbra cadabbara,.... piff paff poof?... No luck.
Well ironing is best done on a Wednesday anyway! (That's my story and I'm sticking to it.)
Hi Sue,
Simply beautiful. I have the dies but wouldn't have thought of using them this way, so thank you for sharing.
Hugs, Rose
Hi Sue
Going to try this, great card.

Hi Sue, I can't think of anything to say that hasn't already been said. Great card and technique. I have these dies so will be trying this out with them and any other dies that I think it may suit.
A beautiful day here in Central Scotland and I took a run along the Hillfoots earlier (I was actually going somewhere, I just went the long way round because it was so nice)and Norah's hills are looking stunning. Norah,I hope you are well enough to enjoy them today.
Welcome to the newest canine and equine family members. I love my cats and wouldn't be without them - I think every home should have a pet.
Have a lovely day everyone.

Hi Sue, a beautiful card , love the simple elegance ( even though not always simple to do). Both this card and the faux quill leaves are great for sending through the post. Hope the weather across the sea improves for you. Lol lynne m x x
Oh the blasted poochies are at it again. Not only are they chasing a fly around the house ( not the one from a few days ago as I have been reliably informed he is in flyospital because of his poorly nerves) not surprised with my two , I lost the plot ages ago!! They are trying to catch birds in the garden. I don't think they are too happy with me as watching them bounce up and down is so very comical and they say laughter is the best medicine I quite agree.
Lindsay - congrats on foal no5, hugs to them all.
June, Karen, Tres, Norah and Myra - hugs to you from the little b's.
To all "Wilsonettes" lol and hugs, may your day be filled with sunshine x x x
Will have to check out the video later - the card looks really simple, but I bet it's quite complex to get it to look so sleek! Thanks, Susan x
Hi Sue,
Afternoon all crafting friends! What a day - rain - hail - sunshine and blue sky! It's Britain after all!
Sue this technique is gorgeous - deceptively simple ? I meant to try it with the leaves but never got round to it but I will now try it with roses and also the leaves. Such a clever idea! The wonder of Sue never ceases to amaze!
Welcome Buster , so pleased he's settled in Pam! x
Welcome Fiona the filly . Lindsay you're having a busy time! Take care. X
Mary - when you perfect your magic for getting rid of ironing - please direct your talent this way!
Norah we miss you! Hope you ok x
Steph hope today's infusion helps x
Love to all , Myra

Hi Sue,
Sorry me again!
Steph. - just a thought - I haven't actually tried them but Sue used the faux quilled leaves so I'm guessing the flowers would work too? Will give them a try later.

Norah - you OK? Think perhaps not. Sending hugs.
Lindsay, another foal and a goodie this time, great - our 'lodger' mare has had her foal Crumpet and she is the most up-front and cheeky little creature - a gorgeous dusky sandy colour with a hint of pink and an off-centre white blaze. Total magic!!

Pam delighted to know Buster has a new home, do hope he settles well and gives you all many hours of fun and happiness. I know our two corgis have given us lots since we brought them home last year. There is never a dull moment with them! xx

I only have a limited download allowance so can't watch all the videos -and I follow written instructions better, so I'm glad I'll be able to try this card using the instructions for the one with leaves - which I like very much. Not sure what I think about this card as the colours aren't what I'd usually use. I think I like the leaves best!!
