Hello my crafty friends! I still have few cards to show from my wedding show in April. This one is relatively simple and probably doesn't need much in the way of an explanation, but at least I can give you the product names! I started by stamping my sentiment on the bottom portion of a piece of milk coloured card with a
clear Perfect Medium pad. I heat embossed it with
gold detail embossing powder. Using another piece of
milk coloured card, I embossed the background using the
Couture Creations folder called Cabernet. I cut the design so that I had an equal embossed shape around the centre square area. I matted it with another piece of milk card and taped it in place above the sentiment. I stamped the
Romantic Heart stamp from the Creative Expressions Singles Range two times on to milk card. I used a
Clear Perfect Medium pad and heat embossed them with
ivory powder. I cut both of the hearts out by hand and then inked them with
Antique Linen Distress ink to bring the rose pattern out more. I mounted them on foam in the middle of the embossed background. I finished the card with a double milk mat with a pierced inner layer. The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 8 1/4" in size. All for now, Sue x

GM Sue - such a classic card today - love the embossing folder. Well today it is dull and mizzling here but they say the weekend will be dry and even sunny - horray! Did some sorting out of my A4 card yday - decided to put it into A4 drawer units (12 drawers) in colours - well I found card I'd forgotten I had! I never knew I had so much green card - it wouldn't fit in one drawer so I decide to put Teal Green in a seperate one - I have accrued quite a bit of teal it seems! It looks so much better and I should be able to see what I have and find what I want when I want it! It didn't take that long either so a wise investment of time me thinks.
I have now asked the hubby to put up 3x6ft long shelves for me so I can continue the sort out. Think I will go for the adjustable type on brackets so I can move them at a later date if required.

Thank you for today's gift. 's simple, elegant and so so pure. I have come to love white/white with a little pop of colour so much over the last few months. So today's gift has gone into my 'less is more' and 'must do this one' files.
I don't have any weddings on the horizon but do have one or two anniversaries so today's gift will be winging it's way (or should I say my version)to a friend who will more than appreciate it.
No crafting for me today - that horrible word 'housework' takes over on Friday's - perhaps I can sneak a little in this afternoon if I haven't collapsed after changing bedding etc.
So if I survive the dreaded duvet cover etc I shall see you tomorrow. Take care everyone.

Today's card could be used so many ways, I think it would make lovely wedding invitation/stationary, clean, crisp ans simple, or an acceptance card, I love when a design can be so versatile. I often make cards up and leave them without sentiment, so that I can add an appropriate one as I need it, this card would be perfect for that.
We got the all clear from the vets, so happy kitten once again, just have to give him antibiotics for five days, that should be fun, I crushed it to powder and added it to food last night!
Thanks to all that sent kind wishes, I was so worried, the kittens gave only been with us fir about 4 weeks but we are so attached, it's like they have been here forever.

Mrs B, thank you, we drove past Southmoor on Monday on route to Millets farm, which was packed, despite the rain! We went to pick strawberries! The craft hut has changed there now, not so keen, it's moe knitting and sewing than paper crafts , we do lack a decent craft shop, I know it's cheaper to buy online, but there is nothing like going and touching& feeling the papers etc!

Better the £100 in your pocket, I know they are truly worth the money they charge but I think sometimes, it's a little too much, last nights check up , we were not in the consulting room 5 minutes, he gave Milo a quick feel over his leg and we were out with 5 antibiotics ......£40! But I do now have peace of mind, but that right there is two sets of dies!

Well today's offering solves one of my wedding woes, so thank you Sue. I absolutely love your white cards as they show up every detail and yet are so pure. Any bride would love to receive this special card on their wedding day i think as it is so beautiful.
Wonderful news Ita on your daughter having her baby daughter. A granddaughter it seems encourages behaviour that mum would never allow in her own children to do but grannies can't seem to help theirselves some how. Enjoy each minute flower and i hope YOUR baby girl is recovering and coming back to her old self.

Oh Mrs. B, she brought home colour from the shops yesterday (not even from my hairdressing suppliers) and the "dark blonde" no8 has turn my grey hair golden at the roots. I have this golden hue over the top of me which coupled by my rosy cheeks most of the time i look like a belisha beacon, that flashs on and off, mines does that when the sun hits it. I keep trying to tell her i have earned each and every one of those grey hairs between her and her brother. And any way, i thought this ombre look was the way to go the now, mines just went from grey to colour which is just the same thing. This is so i don't show her up at her engagement tea/mini party by daring to show that i am nearly fifty. Her new mum is all with it in hair, make up and clothes, where as her old mum is mutton and will dress like mutton thank you very much. I can't be bothered with her going through my wardrobe and saying what i am not wearing so it will be a black pair of trousers and a Bob Mackie blouse, end off as she can't argue with that surely.
Not sure whether the sun is wanting to come out to see us today or not, but as long as it doesn't rain i can get the washing out on the line to have a blow about. My hills are sort of fuzzy this morning, but there again that could just be my eyesight today as so very tired the now. Take care everyone with gentle hugs to our special or fragile Wilsonettes. I really like today's card Sue! It is literally ,simply, lovely. I will be borrowing that idea too! I had a play with the drizzle technique the other day and now it has dried I'm very pleased with that.
Two men arrived this morning at 8 am with my new tumble dryer and to take dead one away! One man bent down to removed some packaging and there was a sort of cracking noise! He had split his trousers! His friend and my husband had a good laugh at his expense! They had to return to the Depot as new trousers were required!

Helloooo Sue and the Wilsonettes! Oh what a beauty Sue! So simple but gorgeous. Loving the hearts and the embossing folder. Funnily enough today (again!) I was telling my husband the idea that came to me of doing religious Confirmation cards. I said I'd emboss the bottom half of the card and put a satin ribbon/sparkly glitter ribbon on the join of the middle. I have an arch template which I was going use and then place my cross and flower stamp in the middle of the arch or offset it and then emboss it in silver or gold. Me thinks I will have a go on that sometime tomorrow....Hope you're still having a wonderful, but no doubt a busy time Sue. Looking forward to these new dies! A very late hi again Sue, I hate Fridays as I always finish late, but early starts on Saturdays! Absolutely beautiful card Sue, noting on this now not to like.
Foals are all growing well, and the stallion still seems quite happy, not looking forward to Monday when we change the dressing on it though as that will be an important decision day. Glad Julie laz that you still have your husband under control and love the fact he likes today's card. Norah had a chuckle with you today about your hair, and it reminds me that it's been thirteen months since i last had it cut! Hope everyone is coping with everything as best they can, off to bed now see you in the morning I hope xxx
