Hello My Friend

Hello crafters!  Stitched flowers are the star of this card.  I did reach for my Heart Lattice embossing folder for the background on this one (I made this card before I had the new folders in my possession!).  I actually cut the aperture using the California Collection Decorative Frames Set B, which gave me a pretty pierced aperture opening, then I embossed it with the Heart Lattice folder.  I wanted a little bling so I added a glue bead all the way around the edge and sugared it with Diamond Sprinkles.  I used smaller sizes of the dies from the California Collection to create a decreasing aperture and I alternated with custard card and coconut white card.  I wanted to create areas where I could tuck flowers into so they were peeking out behind others flowers.  I stamped the stitched flowers on to an assortment of coloured card, blush, custard, periwinkle and duck egg blue using a Black Archival ink pad.  I cut them out by hand as they are all very easy to cut, added some tone on tone colouring with Distress Markers  and layered them up with the leaves around the opening of the aperture.  I stamped a sentiment in black and mounted the aperture over it.  I added some pearl swirls to the top and bottom of the card and scattered a few pearls across the sentiment.   The card was then finished with a double white pierced mat with a thin custard card mat in the middle.  Finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 9" in size.

Just watching your shows now Sue as had to record them as visitors turned up at 11:45 ! Had my day all planned out too! Then would you believe it more showed up just before 5 so had to record that show too! Not that I'm complaining about visitors but I don't usually plan to watch tv at the weekend only when you are on Sue. Thank goodness for Virgin+.
The card is so pretty on this very miserable morning.

  91. Good morning sexy Sue ! And all Wilsonettes. Wowzer Sue, you looked super yesterday (you always look lovely) but... You didnt need to lose weight (in my eyes) but we know when its time and whatever your reason you look amazing, well done. What a lovely Tool Shed with Dean, its always nice to see our fav crafting hero's enjoy their time at C&C and the choice of presenter always help, so I had to record the 5pm show and it furiates me no end that I cant put up and shut up but Ive tried and just cant watch DB think she was the first ever 'craft queen on t.v' ! Nice to read Im not alone with how I feel. Anyway I shouldnt be nasty, sorry.
You showed us some beautiful samples yesterday Sue, your craft imagination is amazing, would you share a little with me please : )
I smiled and smiled whllst watching as it was lovely to hear familiar names we see here, and even MORE lovely that 3 family members won 3 amazing cards, id love to be chosen one day to receive an amazing W.O.W.
Isn't todays card fresh and pretty ? The white background really makes the flowers pop, and the flowers make the white background look whiter than white : ) its really beautiful, a happy card.
Im like the Tin Man today, my body feels like its done 10 rounds with Tyson ! And off for my regular blood check, its dull and grey in Bolton again, but with all the friendship in here, it helps turn a grey day bright. Hope you have a 'decent' day Pam, and to all that need one.... Here is a big gentle hug ((((((( )))))))

Haven't watched your shows yet, However, it seems you had a very good show as you've had very good comments here. I started to record the 5.00 show. but seeing as hubby always records Deal or no Deal and wanted to record the boat race.(Hurray we won). I will have to watch the 5.00 on the computer. Glad our regulars won cards, especially Mrs B as she's not to far away from me apparently. Hugs to everyone who needs one today. Cold and miserable today in Witney.

  99. Good morning Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
OH Sue, the stamp set looks so whimisical flowers until they get the Sue Wilson touch. Beautiful colours and really love the descending apertures and the flowers coming from the different layers. Now you have made me need these stamps and dies as well, naughty Sue.
How beautifully slim you looked yesterday, you looked a treat and if Mr.Wilson keeps eating the chocolates and sweeties, he is going to need more than golf to shed the weight, cheeky lad. I love him as he is interested in learning, but can be naughty and he is fun. I'm afraid your 5pm show i will be fast forwarding bits or turning the sound off, as i always feel the presenter overshadows the guest and always knows best and can't give the courtesy of shutting up and not blethering over the top. The thought that did go through my head yesterday on seeing you is if the telly adds 10lbs to you, you are getting the micro skinny, please don't go any lower as you are beautiful just the way you are.
After having a great day on Friday i am paying the price for it this weekend, but it was worth the smiles on the childrens faces and to hear them singing from the primary department of the Support Service. Now all though the body needs an all over transplant, the head is fine, so you see there is always something to be grateful for.It was lovely hearing so many blog friends names getting read out like Steph and Nick, and even nicer that some of our blog friends won gold. Going to attempt to get to Stirling today to meet my friend, but so glad they have the scooters as it would just be impossible otherwise.
Hope you all have a great day and if you can't be good, don't do any damage to yourselves,
    Love and crafty hugs
    Norah (Glenochil)

Such a pretty card today it makes a wet morning alot cheerier.
Only managed to catch the 5pm show as I was at a craft show. We don't get many around North Wales so when they appear within the 1 and a half hours run we have to go! Enjoyed the 5pm show and you looked amazing just like your cards.

  113. Hi Sue,
What a fab Tool Shed yesterday. I really enjoyed it and how amazing you looked too (not that you didn't before of course). I have to admit I'm not a great lover of these flower stamps but I love the composition of this card so will try and have a go but using my favourite flower aster stamps instead to see what happens. Hope everyone has a good day (it was so nice to hear so many familiar names being read out yesterday)

  130. Lindsay Martin, I found the dies on another website as well. Much as I adore C&C, being on sickness benefits I find I can't afford their prices. I've written asking them if they could put more on flexi, and make evne the cheaper items on 4 flexi's, but my request fell on deaf ears. So, I found the stamps for £15.99 with postage at around £1.25ish, so even cheaper than the club price. I'm afraid I too have to agree about a certain presenter, and either don't watch the shows she is on, or turn the sound off. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels like this.
Sue, keep on bringing us beautiful cards, from a brand new Wilsonette x

You and Dean are GREAT together ,he is just so cheeky but cute with it! makes for a fun show. I feel a bit sad for DB as although she is not a favourite she did start off a lot of people to become interested in crafting, and seems to have had quite a bad time health wise and also in her personal life in the last year or two, so it must be difficult to be at the top of the tree one minute as Queen of Craft and then just a presenter, so maybe we should cut her a bit of slack? Anyway I had a great holiday but it's good to be back home again. Hugs to all xo

  157. Great shows yesterday Sue with both Dean and Dawn!!!!
Agree with Anne Crawford about Dawn, she has been divorced, lost her house and business and suffers from ill health like many of us on this forum and a lot of crafters continue to criticise her presenting. I wouldn't be crafting if it wasn't for Dawn and QVC and have had a lot of enjoyment due to her shows.
We cant all like everyone and there are a few presenters I cant stand but I wont openly moan about them on someones blog as it must be quite upsetting to see it in print, they are only human and lets face it we all have annoying habits.
I do love you and Dean together Sue, you make a great team and you and Julia are able to rein him in when he gets too hyper!!!

I really love how you have used your new Californian Decorative frames B to make layered apertures, what a fab idea !! It makes the card look so smart and elegant. The custard colour card looks great against the coconut white card. I love your heart lattice background folder to and your idea of placing the flowers in and around the apertures of the card. This is a really lovely card Sue and i think these Justrite flower stamps are heading for my great long wish list !!
I watched and recorded all your shows yesterday on C +C. I thought your shows were fantastic Sue !! As always you were great and you looked so slim !!

You are looking so good....well done you! xx About DB, I agree with Anne. She's probably had a lot to deal with in such a short space of time and her bad health concerning her back I think. No-one knows what journey some people have had in their lives. Some go through a rougher storm than others......When you have had people judging you before they know the circumstances or that you are innocent of all the nasty things that someone has said about you to others.....then please don't....it hurts....Sending hugs to you Pam, Tina, Lynne M, Steph, Nora and anyone else that needs one xx Love Karen xx
