Double Stacked Aperture

Hello crafters!  I think you will like this one as it shows the California collection and one of the
matching stamps and how to create different sized apertures.  Those beautiful Faux Quilled Blooms
make an appearance as well!  By the way, the stamp that I have used on the card today is called "Golden Gate" as we had not yet named any of the stamps when we filmed the videos.
In case you didn't see, I did the drawing for the blog candy so if you missed it, please scroll down
to the post below this one.

Buy from Joanna Sheen

Finished dimensions are 7" x 8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes. Im so delighted for our 3 blog candy winners what a wonderful start to your Easter, such a shame bank holiday post gets in the way of your new toys but enjoy them when they arrive.
Yesterday was just double lousey, something as easy as an MRI turned out to be long winded, but Im NOT boring you with all of that. What a beautifully elegant card you bring to us today Sue. Thank you. The Feux Quilled flowers are the 1 and only set of yours that I have (but between us and Easter Bunny) I've 'seen two 'packages, now then put me right when I say you cant buy square easter eggs, or flat easter eggs, so what does that tell you, I suppose it helps that I have made a list of your dies that Id 'quite' like AND NOT hidden it like my other list of needs craftwise, and as Mr Lancashire knows how I love crafting when fit enough and push myself to craft when Im not fit enough he'd rather save a little himself to see the smile on my face when I open a gift I have longed for but not moaned that I need to pay bills before pleasure - so roll on Sunday when the Easter Bunny calls.
Also my Easter will be full of Sue thank goodness, CANT think of a better Easter than this one. : )

Oh my GOODNESS.Tina, poor dad, poor Clare - poor nurses lol at all times for that to happen ! Anychance of a few hour's hospital leave to watch the ceremony or is it too soon after such long surgery ? And age of course bless him.
Well my beautiful friends I need to pop my meds then hunt out YouTube for more Sue, thanks for the guidance of how to find the site.
Sending friendsip gentle hugs that need them, to those not well, and friends waiting for results, Im thinking of you, but MOST of ALL...
Love You.
Lancashire Steph xx

Good morning Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
What a beautiful card Sue and that wee bit different from normal that is built up, with it being built going in the way gives a really nice different card to make. I don't have the flowers yet but i think they are becoming a need item in my stash of dies. I will need to try and get a couple of the stamps to go with the dies as they are just lovely with the die having cut it out. Masterpiece yet again Sue, thank you for taking the time to give us some much needed inspiration.
Tina, i am so sorry to hear about your dad breaking his hip, having read what he is like in the hospital, was he trying to chase the nursing staff at the home? I bet they have a real giggle with him around, as not all elderly people are fortunate in having their faculties all in the right place. I hope he is back up on his feet soon and out of pain. It is going to take a wee while for him to get to running around again though, and it's a shame he's going to miss his granddaughters wedding. I went down to my friends wedding 5 years ago with my son in his kilt regalia, and it was amazing the amount of people that stopped me to say about him. One of them being this elderly gentleman who came up and asked if he was mine, well i'm one of those mums you say "What's he been up to now" to get chastised from this old soul telling me what a delight he was and just how much he had brighten up his day. I really thought that was kind as he was just 10 (the day before) and being autistic he can be a handful some of the time(well most of it if i'm being truthful) and he doesn't have the same awareness of personal space amongst other things that are worse and i was afraid that he had done something wrong. I was fair away when the man had finished because yes i have my problems with my lovely son, but the fact that it was someone praising him instead of being on his back about anything was lovely. We came back to the Premier Inn that we were staying in and this group of bigger lads were having a go at him about his "skirt". It was funny to see this pint size taking on these big lads telling them rightly that it wasn't a skirt but a kilt. Hubby is trying to desperately get him up the stairs before anything kicks off and Rory is equally determined to see off these ignorant laddies as he seen them, and put them right on what the score was. A 4'5" laddie bearing down on these 6's is disaster waiting to happen i can assure you. Anyway Tina i hope that the newlyweds will take a trip in to see grandad and make his day and a few other of the patients with a beautiful bride coming down a ward.
Yvonne N from Canada, welcome to our little gathering flower. If you go on to your pc at home and type in createandcraft.tv you will be able to watch our dear friend on the screen.
Lindsay, you have a wonderful sense of humour if after having a popped rib you are going to "pop" in later. I hope your rib does that as well and if not, please don't do it again, please. I hope these foals come soon as i know only too well what it is like to have odd shaped kicking the insides out of you, so what must that poor mare be going through.
Lynne it was nice to see you were out take in the sun yesterday with fur babies, because it means you are feeling better from the neuralgia. The little terrors will brighten up your day though, but i know that like me you will be glad for them to have a rest so that you can hee hee hee.
Cameeli, i hope your partner gets good news today and that unintentional stress will be away, but hope you had a lovely swim flower.
Steph i hope that they gave you some help soon to sort out some of the pain. Gentle hugs flower. Is it perfectly flat and not chocolate bar thick, flat? What a lovely easter bunny you have Steph, so i would treasure that one.
Well have a lovely day everyone where ever you are, i hope that you at least get some sun, me i'm back to being the chinese laundry service.
Love and crafty hugs from the Ochils(
Norah (Glenochil)

Hi Sue. What a lovely, elegant card. I don't have the dies, yet, but I do have the flowers and they are both useful and beautiful. It doesn't seem a year since you were home celebrating your Mum's 90th birthday. How time flies. Hope you all have a great time. Xxx

Hi Sue,
Really lovely card today.

I think old is so elegant.

I love the cute little flowers.

I will have to put them on my list of dies to buy, along with all your other dies, of course.

Great pictures of Ally Pally. Looked like fun. Unfortunately, Dad and I were both ill, so couldn't get along. Have a great time back home. Give your Mum birthday wishes from London.

Love

Steph - hope you are okay after your yucky day yesterday.
Tina - sorry to hear about your dad, Hope you will be on the mend soon and back to his normal self. Hope you and your family have a fabulous time at your daughters wedding.
Cameeli - so pleased your partner had a good result I'm over the moon for both of you. From your second post yesterday neither of you have got time to be ill, bouquets, buttonholes, butterflies - what busy and talented ladies you are. So lovely that you are both involved so much in planning of your sons wedding.
Norah - love the story about Rory standing at those lads, it bought a big smile to my face.
Hugs, Love and Prayers to anyone who needs them.

Hi Sue

Such a beautiful card today, will have to watch video between shows on Saturday.

Cameeli, Sooo pleased you both had the best news ever.

Lyndsay, fingers crossed for some good news tonight.

Norah, Your boy sounds fab, my daughter has 5 children in her class that are autistic, she say's that they can be hard work, but they are also the first one to stand up for any other child in the class that is being bullied. She adores them.

Steph I hope you did'nt go through too much after your MRI. Fingers crossed they can do something for your tummy problems. Special Thursday hug for you X

Pam, Tres,P in Wales, Beryl, Noral, Steph, Myra, Heather T and Yorkilass and anyone else that have sent good wishes for dad ,and Claire, I thank you very much. If I have missed anyone I did'nt mean too.

Pam, did'nt think I would find time today to send you a hug, but I think everyone should take time out for good people. X

Margaret corgi owner, I have taken on your advise over the weeks, and I am now chilled and looking forward to the big day tomorrow, Thankyou.

Must go now as the Readymix lorry has turned up for my last facial wrinkle treatment.

Very Kind Regards :-)

Helloooo Sue and all the Wilsonettes! A gorgeous and elegante card today Sue. Love the video. Not sure if I have done it right but I did leave a comment.....technology...! Can't wait for Saturday to come for a Sue fix! After this busy time you have had I hope you find a lot of relaxing time with your mom, family and friends. Wish her "Happy Birthday" Sue, from the whole blog family. 91, I can't believe a year has gone already. She's a wonderful woman for her age! Oh Cameeli, so so chuffed duck for the wonderful news of your partner! I can just hear you both singing that "Happy" song and so you should! Pam, sending love and hugs to you xx To Lyndsey, sorry to hear about your rib. As for the foals fingers are crossed for this weekend..... Linda Boyce, "Happy Anniversary!" for yesterday. Love the photo's of you Tres, Jean, Claire and Elaine. It is nice to put faces to names. It was so good to see you all. Julie, so glad to hear your husband is going to get help caring for you. Tina, bless your dad. You made me laugh in the respect of him loving the nurses! Bit like a Carry on film.......sorry about his hip though x Have a great day tomorrow in being the MOB. Have a wonderful day!! Steph, thinking of you. The one of the worst things about MRI's is when they put the headphones on you, playing some cracking music and you've got to keep still! Torture! You just can't wiggle anything! Lol! Norah, what a lovely feisty Rory you have there. At least he stands his corner. Good on him too x Thinking of you too hun xx Congratulations to all the lucky winners of the candy blog! 4,900 followers! Wonderful Sue x Good luck everyone in the Wednesday card giveaway. Just beautiful! Take care everyone and love and hugs to you all xx Love Karen xx

Hi Sue, running late again and I really must fall into bed very soon so will watch the video tomorrow but I love this card. I have to say the faux quilled leaves haven't left my desk since they arrived on day one. Everything has been going out with leaves on it so I think I may have to move the flowers to the very top of my list.

Many congratulations to all the blog candy winners, it will be like Christmas come early when the postie arrives!

Best Wishes to all those who have something special going on this week-end and healing hugs to all those that need them.

Frances

Hi Sue, I look forward everyday to your cards, you are such an inspiration to me, I love everything I see, oh I wished I had your talent. I have had the privilege (as so many other crafters have) to meet and see you at Ally Pally, you are always surrounded but you are accessible as well, you give out loads of tips. Your dies and embossing folders are so beautiful and I have quite a collection of them already, what I like about them is that they cut out so well and the embossing folders do not warp as some manufacturers ones do. Keep them coming please Sue. Also am looking forward to seeing you on C&C on 19th, I will have to tape it because I am on a workshop but I know what I will be doing on Sunday and Monday, yes having a play............thank you once again for sharing this tutorial, inspirational, gorgeous, love it.
