Welcome Little Darling

Hello my crafty friends!  A sweet baby card for today.  This one uses the baby carriage from the Bundle of Joy stamps from Justrite.  I used the harlequin patterned  papers from the Teresa Collins paper pack.  I cut four squares and matted them with thin white mats.  I mounted them up using foam pieces, with a small gap between them.  For the focal element, I stamped the pram in Pitch Black Adirondack ink, not my usual black Archival because I coloured this one with alcohol based markers.  I used a blue grey colour to create a shadow by dotting all the way around the image, heavier in some areas.  I cut a frame from the Marvellous Square dies.  I mounted the frame above the coloured image with mounting foam.  I added a rolled felt flower as an embellishment that I created from the Bitty Blossom die.  I seated it upon a seam binding messy bow and some Bakers Twine.  I stamped the sentiment and cut it out using Vintage Labels Five. I inked it through the die with aqua Adirondack ink.  I finished the card with flatback pearls in the corners and a double pierced mat layer in coconut white.  Finished dimensions are 7 3/4" x 7 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

morning Sue from a very dark morning here in Burgundy.
A big thank you for today's gift as I am still collecting ideas for my Great Granddaughter's arrival - not long now to go 3/4 weeks so will have to make my mind up soon.
So it goes without saying too much that I love today's gift - simple to do and so so pretty. I think at the moment this one goes to the top of the list.

  17. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes. Im awake, fully awake, and now firmly on this planet again ! What a 'weird' day I had yesterday, just when you think the sedation is wearing off enough to resume 'normality' (thats debatable) wallop ! I went to Julia's blog, dont remember, went to Kim's blog, dont remember, but I remember sending emails, but need to check WHO !!! If Im arrested will you bail me with dies, folders and stamps please : / Ive just watched yesterdays video, what a great idea, the only problem with me doing that is I cant do the sanding, bbbrrr oooo the goosebumps are up just thinking about it, never mind - *ping* lightbulb time : ) Mr Lancashire could sand down for me - sorted.
Debs, thinking about you hon, hope things are ok.
Tandy, just read your post, what an awful year for you, what precious gifts you have now, they will learn SO much from you about their special mommy, and have a very special nanny to help guide them through life, my thoughts are with you sweetheart xx

At least I dozed through Thursday, a day I wish could be erased from the week, but still managed to keep my candles a light.
Well Mrs W I was allll set with my list of needs NOT wants of goodies Im going to spend my birthday/Christmas money on today, a tricky task as there is SO much but a small amount to spend, I even got my calculator out ! Now you throw me a curved ball to add to my confusion, thanks ! Now I dont need this stamp set, I WANT it !!! Maybe it could be our secret *evil laugh* MWAAA and rubs hands together, yep, after yesterday I need a treat (bet my store wont have it) judgement on me !!! This is such a beautiful fresh card, just what new parents need to greet their fresh new little bundle. Just re-watching your show from Sunday Sue, what makes you think Im having withdrawl symptoms !!! Wish you had longer and more shows from the CHA - not that we are greedy, ok then, we are, nothing wrong in wanting MORE of our crafting momma is there ladies ???
Sending love from Planet Lancashire !!

    Hugs.

  18. Hi Sue, Well! What a Beautiful Card I Truly Love the Colours you have chosen, I so Love The Terrsa Collins Paper Pad from Creative Expression, and The Fabulous Marvellous Square Die from Spellbinder, I really like how you have used your grey pen to highlight the image, I was shown this at the time I started using my Alchol Pens, but just to go round the image, your Dotting procedure seems so much better so I'm going to give this a go today, I Love The Pram Stamp from JustRite the beautiful Felt Flower just everything you've done it again Sue! 45. Good morning Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
I love the pretty pram Sue, but there again, i've been old fashioned all of my life, but its cute and how you have coloured it just prefect to show the shadows. Like me old fashioned is now fashionable again. Hey, you've got a 40 something that has worn pearls since her 20's and twinsets because it gets the top half sort in one go, what more can i say. But having knitted since forever (1st jumper was done before i turned 3, mum's fault again) its taken all these years to finally be in fashion....Whey heyyy. Anyway back to the important matter of the day, it's such a nice card that i think a lot of new parents young or old would love.(my classmate at school doesn't have a new baby granddaughter like i thought, no, she has a new baby daughter...47, and i thought i had a gap with 7 years between my two, try 23 between her daughters. All i can say she is very brave).
Steph, you got it the wrong way round flower, its not that you now want it, it's that you now need it which is more economical sense. You need it to satisfy your customers ever growing needs, well you can try explaining it to yourself or other half that way, then they can't say no so readily. Wink! Glad that you are back with us today Steph as i know just how much these tests can leave you in another world entirely, but if visiting it again remember to leave the address of whatever planet you have gone to.
Hope everyone has a good day out in the miserable place called the UK today. Got smirring rain falling on the lovely ice that lay down last night, nice.
    Love and crafty hugs

Good to have you back on this planet Steph - don't forget to drop plenty of hints nearer your birthday/anniversary with regard to dies/stamps/embossing gear! And then there's mother's day....... and I'm sure Mr. Lancs would LOVE to receive stuff for father's day.

    Hi Sue
Lovely, delicate looking baby card! It's a great color for either boy or girl! Wish I had seen this one before my daughter had her's recently! Really like the way you emphasized the pram and the center die you used.

  118. Any new mother would love this card. I thought from the first few photos that it's greenish and would be suitable for boys and girls, but I'm not too sure after seeing the flower, more bluish. Of course the colour could be adapted. I really like the 4 panels - a great way of using bits of leftover paper.

Love it! It's simply stunning. Looks simple but has so much detail when you look closer.

Love the little pram coloured in and the blue'ish dots around it make it look amazing.

    Such an adoreable card!

Thank you for all your inspiration and hard work you do to keep your blog going every day!
