Triple Stamping

Hi crafters!  Happy Christmas Eve!  Hoping that many of you would be around today, I thought I would show you some triple stamping, but with a twist, a micro beaded twist, that is!  I started with three pieces of coconut white card all cut into rectangles of stackable sizes.  I put a piece of sticky tape between each layer then began stamping in black archival with the Sunflower stamp from the Vintage Labels Five Sunflower set by Justrite Stamps.  Each stamp caught the different layers so it was only partially stamped on any one layer.  Once I covered the entire piece, I disassembled it and coloured it with a combination of  pencils and Distress Markers.  I used an aqua pencil around each images to give it a shadow and added some accents to the flowers with a white gel pen.   Once coloured, I covered each piece with a sticky adhesive sheet and hand trimmed the excess away.  You can use a paper cutter if you are careful not to trim away any of the stamping.  I peeled the backing paper off and micro beaded each piece for a lovely textural look.  I cut thin black mats for each piece and taped them on the coordinating piece, then reassembled the card using mounting foam between each piece.  The black mat gives a nice frame to each section, but covers the area where the stamp cannot get close enough to the edge because of the different layers.  Your eye completes the image once it is reassembled because the void has been filled.  I stamped one more Sunflower image and cut it out with Vintage Labels Five and coloured it.  I cut a tag from the Filigree Bracket and Label die and snipped it in half to use it top and bottom to just peek out from underneath.  No sentiment, just beautiful sunflowers today, easily used for anything you like!  Finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x 8 1/4" in size.  In case you don't get a chance to stop by the blog tomorrow, I hope that everyone has a wonderful Christmas filled with family, friends and food, among other things!  If you are able to pop by tomorrow, then there will be loads to see!  All for now, Sue x

  22. Happy Christmas Eve to one and all. All the shopping arrived yesterday ready for the big feed, along with a ceiling leak right above my bed as I lay sleeping!!! Finally got to sleep at 5.30 after careful furniture removals. Visitors arrive today and I am a bedroom down.. which means I have to sleep in my craft room, that's why I was up til 5.30 trying to fit a blow up bed amongst the chaos that is my crafty space. Love the card Sue will check in tomorrow. Thoughts are with Tracy W and her Dad. God Bless all xx

  51. Good morning Sue and all Wilsonettes,
Tracy W our thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery for your Dad. You have a lot of love and friends right here sending up prayers for him, so here is hoping that he is feeling his old self very, very soon. Take one step at a time and he will come back to you bouncing in health. The importance if tomorrow is all about family and love, so nothing else matters, mince and tatties will do the same job.
Haven't seen the video of this card yet, i so haven't been able to work it out yet.
To everyone traveling be safe, watch out for the others on the road, as some seem to lose whatever brain power they had at this time of the year. To all those in the bad weather regions i hope that you escape this time. I see from our friends on the blog that some are already experiencing leaking roofs. We have had a few in the village here lost their entire roof because of the storms 6-7 weeks ago, still waiting for the insurance asessors to grant the work to someone, so they have blue tarpaulins as cover the now, not good.
Have a good time where ever you are and hope your prayers are answered.
    Love and crafty hugs

  98. Hi Sue

I saw you do a very quick demo on this card, it's lovely and summery not like the weather we had yesterday a tree that was blown over in my narrowly missing my car.

Happy Christmas Eve to you all.

Hi Tracy, I am so sorry to hear about your dad, all our best wishes are sent for a speedy recovery.

    Kind regards :-)

  99. Hi Sue,
YEEAAAAAA made it to the blog. No electricity till just now since early hours of the morning - was just about to start panicking big time as Turkey needs cooking for a cast of thousands due later tonight and a freezer full of food looking like it was all going to be thrown away. At least we still have an open fire in the house so one room was warm. So today's card really cheered me up all that said Happy Christmas to all you Wilsonettes.
