Moulin Rouge

Hello crafters!  Today's video card wasn't named by me, but I think it does a pretty good job of describing it!  It definitely has that Moulin Rouge sort of feel to it!  I hope you enjoy the video, let me know what you think!

Finished dimensions are 8" x 8 1/2" in size.  All for now., Sue x

  7. So fabulous Sue. The video is so helpful. I laughed when you said there is no right or wrong to making the flower because I have tried this but mine never look as nice as yours do - I haven't quite mastered the art lol! Love the colours but I think it would also look very opulent in red, white & black.

Just watched your video and there are so many useful tips and ideas thank you. I have such a problem with glue dots but you are the glue dot master lol. I never thought of mixing the two label dies but will be from now on. The stamp is on my 'I need ' list for the new year. After many attempts at making the rose I finally achieved it ( did I get the idea from your DVD?) Carol I hope your dog gets better soon.

    morning Sue
Although I love today's format I'm not too sure about the colour scheme. For me rust/black is quite dark but I would love to see today's gift done in different/lighter colours.
I have tried your technique with ribbon to make flowers and always seem to get into a mess with the red tape but at the end I always have a flower and as you say 'there is no right or wrong way' to make these flowers.

  47. Good morning Sue and Wilsonettes,
Having looked at the pictures first today as i need to wait until my smallest pint is off to school and as any mother knows that is a non stop job from when they get up, to actually getting them out the door and into the taxi, i wondered why you had put a rust satin ribbon on a blue and the palest of pink cards, but all was revealed in the video. OOOH it is a pretty card in the rust and black. The satin ribbon is such a beautiful shade and black against the rust against black is so lovely and makes a different combination.
To all my fellow Wilsonette's have a great day and Cameeli living in Central Scotland it is OK so far so hope you have a good trip up to see your elderlies.
