Happy Sunday! This is a card from some of the shows that I did in September. I picked a
peach coloured card accented with black as my colour theme. I embossed the background with the
Heart Lattice embossing folder for a delicate embossed background. I wrapped some
black seam binding around the opposite corners and matted it on black card. Next I stamped the
Lace Oval frame by Justrite using a
black Archival ink pad on to
peach card. I used the
Tattered Rose distress marker to give it some soft colour. I used a
Rusty Hinge to accent the centres a bit. I cut out the centre with an oval die and stamped my sentiment from the
Mix and Match sentiments and placed it behind the opening. I used a bit of
Tattered rose around the sentiment for a soft halo effect. I cut two oval frames, one thicker one out of peach card and a thinner black frame and glued them over the aperture for my sentiment. I cut a
Spiral Flower 4 out of
black felt and rolled it as an accent in the lower corner. I finished it with a few pieces of the
Bella Rose swirl cut in peach card. A double pierced mat layer in peach finished the card off nicely. Finished dimensions are 7" x 8 1/2" in size.

Thank you for such a beautiful and very regal gift today.
The colour scheme is so gentle even though black is part of it and the format is one of those which really is on the 'less is more' scale. Today's gift is also a very versatile one as it can be used for any occasion and even for those pesky makes in our lives if we took away the flower.

Hi Sue. Todays card is sooo beautiful !! I really love the look of this background stamp. I have your heart lattice background folder. I just love it !! Unfortunately the peach looks like cream on my screen so I will just have to imagine what peach and black look like together. Wraping black seam binding around both corners of the card is a great idea. I love the sentiment and I really love your flower and beautiful swirls to.
I watched your video yesterday and it was wonderful !! The card you made was gorgeous and I will definately be trying out gilding flake edges and then using the sea garden folder over the top. Sorry I did not get the time to comment yesterday. I will be recording Julia's shows today.

I love the lace oval frame but have to admit I really don't like the colour of the base card. I'm not a peach/apricot gal, maybe it's the photo emphasizing it, as in the detailed photos it's a much softer colour.
