Sneak Peek

Hi crafters!  I thought that a sneak peek of Sunday's show samples was in order for today!  I get to bring back that lush vintage felt pack which sold out last month so I am very excited to get to use it again.  Today's card features it so nicely that I thought it was quite appropriate for the first sneak peek.  I started with a piece of coconut white card and embossed it with the Basketweave folder.  I wrapped a piece of mauve seam binding around it vertically and added a soft lavender card as a mat.  For the focal element, I used the same soft lavender card and stamped the Filigree Leaf Background by Justrite using a clear Perfect Medium pad.  I embossed it with white powder, then covered it with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I peeled the backing off and covered it with clear micro beads for texture. I cut a Marvellous Square die out of white card and used the fall away pieces in the corners of my beaded stamped piece.   I matted it on a piece of white card and foam mounted it in the centre of my embossed white background.  On lavender card, I stamped the sentiment from the Birthday Wishes set by Justrite and embossed it in white.  I cut it out with Labels 33 and inked it with Dusty Concord distress ink while still in the die.  I cut a frame using the Gold Labels Four out of white card and attached the ends of my sentiment to it.  Using the Aubergine coloured and white felt, I cut several flowers from the Bitty Blossom die set and rolled them into place,  I added them to the side of my sentiment with a swirl from the Jewelled flowers and Flourish die set.  I included a few leaves and flatback pearls as accents for my flowers.  I tied a messy bow out of mauve seam binding and added it to the bottom of my ribbon strip.  A small pearl embellishment topped the centre of the bow.  As usual, a double white pierced mat completed the card for a lovely, feminine sort of card.  Finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 8 1/2" in size.
