Just Because

 Hi bloggers!  My very favourite reason to receive a card, just because!  I picked black, white and red for this creation.  Using the Samantha Walker stamp set called Dainty Doilies, I stamped the entire background of the red card with one of the stamps from the set  using a black archival ink pad.  I created a border by using one of the insert dies from the matching die set called Delicate Doilies.  I cut four of them in a row and added pearls to the centres then backed it with white card.  I added a small raised white border on both sides to set it off a bit.  I wrapped a piece of black silky crush ribbon around the card vertically before adding my die cut border.  I tied a double bow and added it to the top of the card with a cameo in the centre.  I stamped a small tag with my sentiment, dusted the edges with Fired Brick distress ink and tucked the edge under my cameo.  I added three small pearls to the tag and to the upper corner of my card.  I matted it with a thin mat of black card before finishing the card with a double white pierced mat.  Finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 8" in size.
I am thinking about adding a regular feature to the blog of a weekly card giveaway.  I do them periodically now, but I think it should be more regular.  How would you feel about a Weekly Wednesday Card Giveaway?  Sound off if you are in favour!  All for now, Sue x
