On to today's card now with a classic Christmas design which uses the beautiful Festive Poinsettia stamps from Justrite. These sold out very quickly during their premiere on one of Julia's shows and I will be showing them again on my Sept. 29th Toolshed shows if you are interested. I started with the background which uses the Basketweave embossing folder on a piece of coconut white card. I matted it with soft gold card. I cut a wide strip of coconut white card and stamped my sentiment (from Creative Expressions set called Winter Greetings) on the side and embossed it with gold powder. I matted this piece with soft gold card as well and taped it across my background. Using the Festive Poinsettia stamps, I stamped them on red card using a clear Perfect Medium pad. I heat embossed them all with gold powder and cut them out with the matching poinsettia dies. I used a foam mat and a stylus to give them a roundness and glued them together offset to create my flowers. I stamped the leaves on to green card using a clear Perfect Medium pad and dusted them with gold mica powder for a softer look. I cut them out with the matching dies as well and tucked them under the edges of my two poinsettia flowers. I added white flatback pearls to the centres of the flowers and added a pearl swirl across the bottom of my card. I finished with a double white pierced mat as usual. Finished dimensions are 8" x 8 1/2" in size. All for now, Sue x

Dear Sue
This is such a beautiful Christmas card. Must get my poinsettia dies and stamps out and have a play.
I've lost my mojo in general so finding it hard to find enthusiasm to do anything much.
Thank you for such a beautiful creation to brighten the day.

Hello Sue,
I've decided I've just got to have that basketweave embossing folder - I've got to say, I discovered the create and craft channel about a year ago now - I've learnt a whole new world of ways to make cards - I'm also very poor now as I've spent all my money on crafting goodies (just kidding - I'm not poor!) It makes me happy to have all my embossing folders and dies and sparkly things - and I especially enjoy seeing what kinds of things you do with your cards.
Another stunning card as usual, to another year!
Lots of huggles
