Miss You

Hi bloggers!  Purple, black and white make up the colours for today's card.  I started with the white background and did a white on white embossing using the Lace Vintage Labels three stamps from Justrite Stamps for this.  I like how it gives a bit of detail but doesn't take the focus away from the main event so to speak.  I cut an Elegant Labels four die out of black card and embossed it together with the purple card to form a backing frame for it.  Next I stamped the larger stamp in the Lace Vintage set in clear and black embossed it.  I cut it out with the matching Vintage Labels three dies to create a frame.  I stamped my sentiment on purple card and cut it out with the oval from from Resplendent rectangle set.  I used some white frilly edged ribbon and threaded it across and under my sentiment.  I tucked the edges of the oval under so it held my ribbon in place.  I tied a double bow with it and added it at the side of my card with a lavender Dazzler and black stick pins as embellishments.  I finished the card with a double white mat and white PVA glue dots all the way around the edge.  Finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x 8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Managed to catch up with the recordings of your Sunday shows yday but the stupid DVD thing only recorded the first hour - so not happy! Will have to diligently read your blog to try and see what I missed - Love the Becca dies and would love to see you both on C&C together - what a combo that would be!! I would love to get one of her bow makers but don't think they are available in the UK unless you know something I dont perhaps?.. if so, do tell!

Your cards are even better in real life if that's possible Sue! My husband thought it was gorgeous and he is extremely picky as an artist himself! Can I ask Sue how do you get your layers so perfect? I have to get the Lacy Tiers dies now!!!!

Love all the colours, they go so well together. Whoo hoo! I've won one of your beautiful cards! Wow! Wonderful! It seems like the four leaf clover has been working it's magic! It is also be a fantastic pre-wedding anniversary (23rd) present that, like everybody else, so longs to win from you. It will certainly take pride and place here at home. Thank you everybody for your lovely congratulations wishes. They were lovely to see! Thank you Sue, it's so made my day/month/year/lifetime! Good luck to all of you in your dream to win a card also. 108. This card is fantastic Sue and uses all of the dies that I love. The Elegant Labels four die I especialy like and fits in well with the size of card that I like to create. Although there are only 3 dies in the set, each die makes an impact on a card, whether used singly or in combination. The smaller one is great for using as a ribbon buckle. The black card and embossing is magnificent and makes such a dramatic impact. The ribbon is fab and now that I have some myself, I can see why you love it so much too.
