Peace

Hi crafters!  A most unusual coloured Christmas card for today.  I just had this whim one day to make a Christmas card in really different colours and wanted to follow through with it to see how it looked.  Raspberry and black snowflakes and I must say that I was rather pleased with the final result.  I may just have to give in to my whims a bit more to keep you on your toes!  I started by embossing my coconut white background with the Interlocking Circles embossing folder to give it texture.  Next I used the Create A Flake Three and some of the smaller snowflakes from the Pendant sets and cut some out of black glitter card and some out of raspberry card (from my stash). Each snowflake was finished with a black pearl centre as an accent.  I used a bit of matching raspberry silky crush ribbon from my stash and cut it down the centre and wrapped it around the bottom of the card.  I tied a double bow from it and added a fancy black button to the centre of it.  I stamped my sentiment on a small precut tag that I had and inked the edges with Victorian Velvet distress ink.  I tucked the tag under my fancy button.  I arranged all the cut snowflakes so they were cascading down my card from upper corner to the opposite lower corner.  I added a black rhinestone swirl radiating from the centre as an accent piece.  I added a thin raspberry mat and then double pierced black mats to finish my unusual Christmas creation.  Finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 8" in size.  All for now, Sue x
