Black And Gold Opulence

Hi my crafty friends.  All I have to say is at least I waited until July to post my first Christmas card! LOL     I made a dozen or so cards for Julia's Christmas shows and this is one of them.  I absolutely love the new Justrite stamp sets that match with the Heirloom Ornaments.  I started by embossing the white background with the Heart Lattice embossing folder.  I stamped two black borders  with the  Celebration Labels One border and heat embossed it with black embossing powder.  I cut both of them out with the matching lattice Bracket border die.  I cut a matching mat out of soft gold card.  I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions set called Winter Greetings by cutting each letter apart of the "JOY" sentiment and mounting them on an acrylic block vertically.  I heat embossed it with gold powder then covered the piece with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I covered it with clear micro beads for texture.  Next I stamped the new Justrite stamp from the set  called Heritage Christmas Ornament  on soft gold card and embossed it with gold powder for a tonal look.  I cut it out with the matching die and mounted it with foam on my card.  I stamped my sentiment on black card, gold embossed it and cut it out with the oval die from the Vintage Labels Four die set from JustRite.  I added a black messy bow tied from seam binding, white tulle and black Dazzler to the top of the ornament.  Pierced the edges of the double white mat to complete the card.  Very opulent feeling I think!  Finished dimensions are 7" x 10" in size.
Don't forget to tune in to see Julia's shows on the 9th as she has the POTD with some beautiful stamp sets!  All for now, Sue x
