Thanks So Much

Good Sunday morning all!  I started today's card by stamping my sentiment in the lower corner with a black Archival ink pad.  Next I embossed the background with my Tapestry A4 embossing folder for texture.  I matted it with blue card and ran a piece of thin redline tape across the bottom above my sentiment.  I peeled off the liner backing and used white seam binding to ruch across the tape.  I added a messy bow, Dazzler and crystal stick pins to the right side.  Next I began work on my focal element.  I stamped my Stamp to Die For design called Kaleidoscope  using a clear Perfect Medium pad and heat embossed it with Cosmic Shimmer True White embossing powder.  I cut it out with the Decorative Labels 22 die.  I cut an Elegant Labels Four out of Coconut white card.  I cut it in half and taped it to the back so the decorative edge was just peeking out from behind my blue die cut.  Next I cut two of the smaller size of the Stately Circles.  Using a scoring board, I scored across it so there were score lines every 1/4".  I cut to the centre of both of them, then folded them concertina style.  I glued the two pieces together to form my rosette.  I cut the smaller size of the Stately Circles in blue and added an 8mm pearl to the centre.  I mounted it the centre of my rosette to complete my focal element.  I added a double white mat with a pierced inner mat to finish the card.  Finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x 8" in size.

Just the right colour scheme for me - any shade of blue with white is a clear winner - I started a card on Friday and used the same colours and hope it will be finished tomorrow as Sunday is always a craft free day for me.I love the simple format although I have not as yet tried the ruching - really must get down to trying as I always love the effect when I see it -

This card done all in whie would make a beautiful wedding card as the ribbon looks like a brides garter. But even as it stands could be in the blue for luck a bride needs. It is a very pretty card because of the endless different things packed into this card, but hey this is coming from someone who sees pictures in the clouds and in the flames of the fire.

    Dear Sue
this is an amazingly beautiful card, I just love the colour scheme and the rosette, in the centre of the kaleidoscope stamp that's been embossed white, is just gorgeous. I must give making a rosette from the stately circles die a go.
I have the labels 22 but haven't used it yet this has given me some inspiration as to how I can use it. The elegant labels four peeping out behind it all adds a great dimension and frame to it.
I used the tapestry embossing folder just yesterday it's beautiful, although I did find that to get a good emboss towards the edges you open I needed a bit of a shim at that end. P'raps I'm doing something wrong? I used the pink plate and the raspberry adapter plate in the GC.

Thank you for your inspiration and hard crafting.

Hope your road trip went well, I hope also that they don't rub in the fact they've been on a cruise, p'raps they had bad sea sickness?! That might you feel better about it!

    Sleep well,
    Best wishes from
