Miss You

Morning my crafty friends!  I really tried to photograph this one so you would be able to see that it is a soft sage green and white, but I did struggle with it.  It does look a bit grey, but trust me it isn't.  Think soft sage, almost mint green as you look at it.  I used the Gold Element One dies again on this one.  I decided to cut four of them, two in white and two in sage green.  I matted the white ones with green and the green ones with white that was dusted with Rock Candy dry glitter for a bit of bling.  I glued the four pieces into place with their respective backing pieces onto a larger piece of white card.  At the bottom of the card, I wrapped a piece of frilly edged white ribbon around and secured the ends to the back.  I tied a double bow with it and added it to  the centre with a glue dot.  I made a white rose and sugared it with Rock Candy Dry Glitter.  I added it to the centre of my bow and finished it with two pearl stick pins.  I cut a few more die cuts for my focal element, including a white Stately Circle as the backdrop.  I then layered up the smaller cross piece from the Gold Elements One set in green.  I stamped my sentiment in black and cut it out with the smallest die in the Gold Labels Four set.  I inked it with Bundled Sage Distress ink while in the die as a highlight.  I mounted it in the centre with mounting foam to complete my focal element.  I added a double white mat with a pierced inner mat to complete my project.  Finished dimensions are 8" x 9 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  149. Awesome blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere?
A design like yours with a few simple adjustements
would really make my blog jump out. Please let me know where you got your theme.

    With thanks

  151. I agree with Pam, it is a wonderful card. I think I may have to try and get the die you used. Very effective:)

  154. HI Sue,
i really like this card as it is a calming sort of a card. This restful colours of the white and soft age green just work together lovely. Would be a super card to send to someone that is needing some TLC. I really love this new die as it makes a beautiful card.
    Love and crafty hugs
