For You

Hi guys!  Well I finally got my hands on the Gold Elements One set!  Isn't it a beauty!  I love playing around with the corner and yes, you will see it in every conceivable arrangement in the next coming weeks!  I picked a wedgewood blue  and white for today's offering, so clean and crisp, I just love these colours together.  I cut four of the corners in blue and layered them in the corners, but overlapped them.  Can you spot my boo boo?  I used Cosmic Shimmer dries clear glue to adhere them and it went off so quickly, I didn't have time to fix it!  So the last corner, which was supposed to get tucked under the corner of the first one, didn't!  Oh well, it just wasn't worth cutting four more corners and starting again.  I cut the largest size of the Stately Circles in white.  Then I layered up the Celtic Motif with mounting foam and finished with a smaller Stately Circle with my sentiment stamped in Cobalt blue Archival ink.  I used a bit of the ink to very lightly sponge the centre while it was still in the die too.  I added 5mm flatback pearls to the Celtic Motif as accents and in the four corners too.  I pierced the edges of the inner white mat to finish the card.  Yes, it is pretty and girlie, my kind of card!  Finished Dimensions are 7 3/4" x 7 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  7. Hi Sue

This is a gorgeous card I love the shade of blue you have used.

This circle die is the one I think looks like teddy bear faces with the pearls being their noses! LOL!

On the 'Get Well Soon card you did it looks as though their front paws are hanging over the edge as well. A really cute die when viewed like this. Unfortunately it is all I can see now; that's optical illusions for you. :) Great card, Great shows good luck with Allie Pally

What an amazing combination of dies they look superb together - even if you pointed out a booboo.
The delicate shade of blue really subtle.
I feel like I have been stalking you for the last 24hours as I have watched and enjoyed all the POtD shows - you just keep going and the inspiration keeps flowing it is just a shame that the presenters KEEP TALKING sometimes they should just watch and let YOUR talent shine on its own after all we all tune in to see you.
    Enjoy setting up AP today.

  20. GM Sue - saw most of your shows yday except the last 2 which I recorded -will watch those later today - great demos - dont know how you do that, especially 3 consecutive live 1 hour shows - what a pro. Thought your apology re the circles was really sincere and genuine. Got some stamps, the card, some more guilding wax - really wanted the elegant labels 4 but it sold out in minutes so got elsewhere - they should stock more single sets - I already had the adorning squares so didn't want the set this was in - think they shoudl think about pick n mix - i.e. any 3 or 4 sets say for £x - that would be more flexible for folks I am thinking - and when theyre gone, theyre gone!

Anyway, love this card - haven't got this die but have got a botanical one that's v. similar so will try with that.

I have never sent an email into C & C ( still quite new to this! )but yesterday so desperate to win one of you masterpieces
I tried several attempts but when I tried to send them the address was not recognised so they would not go! Frustrating to say the least, I then sent a message to C&C asking what address I should send to , they replied they would let me know, but up till now have heard no more.
Sorry for this long comment but if someone could let me know the address to send to for next time I would really appreciate that.thankyou.

    Hi Sue,
Sad to say I'm rather chuffed that I spotted your boo boo even without it being pointed out. To me it means that I'm getting more adept at construction.
However, that tiny slip doesn't detract from the beauty of the card one little bit, I would be over the moon to receive such a card.
Hope you have a reasonably restful day before cranking up those gears (called energy) for Ally Pally.

Agree with those who said that some of the presenters should keep schtum at times. Have to admit, there are a couple of them that my heart sinks when I see they're on a show & they're crafters so should know better.

  63. Morning Sue, you must be shattered after a late night on tues and such a long busy day yesterday! What a lot of hard work went into those shows and the result as always wasabi fabulous cards- it was wonderful. For the first time ever I already had most of the dies so that left me with cash to get the embossing folders, yeh!!! I was only able to watch the 1st & 2nd shows live as wed is my long day at work but I sat up & watched them all when u got home! I love the dies in today's card. I did a very similar design for my sister birthday card and she loved it. I think the dies have just got prettier and prettier so there's very little you need add to them and that especially true of this die. Am looking forward to seeing more of your samples for inspiration. Thanks again Sue for all your hard work. You are a treasure. Wish I could go to ally pally to meet you and say thanks in person but its just too far away. Hope you are able to get a bit of rest yourself before you go.

  108. Hi Sue. Such a gorgeous card. I love blue and white anyway but these dies just make it even better. Loved the shows, agree that it would be better if you could demo more. Martyn understands, as he said, most of us watch for Sue and her demos and go online to look at and buy whats avalaible. (Mix and match dies etc for a set price is a great idea Clare) Hope you manage to get some rest Sue. Enjoy Ally Pally, I will be in the woods with some of my Beaver Scouts on a sleepover so can't make it this year sadly. Take care.

Great shows, wish you were on tv more, a weekly show would be just grand. Agree with others that too much blah and not enough of Sue. Need to find a balance, have to showcase the products, maybe you should try and do show solo, bet you'd be really good at it, could listen to your accent for hours! Love Danella xx
