Best Wishes

Hello my crafty friends!  A completely different offering today and one with that long skinny shape adore!  I started with a piece of pretty blue card and covered it with our sticky adhesive sheet.  Next I cut multiples of the Samantha Walker Botanical Swirls and Accents corner (it's a triangle really).  Four to be exact and I highly recommend using wax paper when cutting this one.  This die only cuts on two of the three sides so you will need to use your paper cutter to cut the final side.  There are dotted lines, you can cut on them or cut just past them to include them, your choice.  I peeled back the backing paper and arranged my die cuts so that they gave a zigzag pattern on my background.  I used the waxed side of the backing paper to cover them and give them a good press into the sticky sheet.  By using the waxed paper side, it allowed me to rub the die cuts into place, but my fingers did not touch the sticky sheet and the waxed side did not stick either.  If you use the matte side, it will stick!  Next I micro beaded the entire piece for texture.  I tied a double bow out of silky crush ribbon and added a large round Dazzler to the centre.  I stamped the French Frills tag stamp and sentiment (by JustRite Stamps) and coloured the flowers on the tag.  I tucked it under the Dazzler and pierced the edges of my white mat to finished the card.  Finished dimensions are 11 1/2" x 6 1/4"  It's a big card, but what fun!
Just a quick note to let you know that I am on C & C this weekend.  I'll be doing the tool shed show on Sunday the 6th from 12 to 2pm and then a later hour at 5pm.  I hope that you will be able to join me.  It is all new JustRite stamps and matching dies and they are lovely!  I went a bit mad and made a lot of samples for you, I just couldn't stop myself!  I'll get you a sneak peek up on the blog this week before the shows, I promise!  All for now, Sue x

  7. Nice card, Sue, and so different - really like the idea of placing the diecuts on the sticky sheet and then covering the whole with micro beads. Guess it's not easy to achieve such perfect placement of the triangles?!!
Phew, haven't got this set so can't be tempted to try but will use this technique with other dies.
