To The World

Happy weekend!  I have been playing a bit more with my Vintage Lace dies and came up with this one the other day.  I am just in love with this border, it ticks all the boxes for me.  I picked out a piece of some decorative paper that I had in a scrap box and started from there.  I added four borders around it to create a pretty frame.  I overlapped them at the corners and added some large half pearls that I had. These will be in stock in the coming weeks if you are looking for large sizes, fyi.  The smaller "pearls" are my Cosmic Shimmer pearl PVA glue dots, you thought they were also pearls, didn't you?  From there I cut a labels 23 die out of milk coloured card and added the matching pearl nestabling.  I stamped my sentiment in black and clear embossed it.  I cut this out out of labels 18.  Once out of the die, I edged it with some Bundled Sage distress ink to pick up just a hint of the background colour.  I mounted it with foam pieces in the centre.  I had a few scraps of my background paper left for I tore two pieces into circles and scrunched them.  I put a brad through the centre and inked the edges lightly with Bundled sage also.  This gave me a lovely little shabby chic flower for my card.  I tied a messy bow out of chalk white American seam binding and used a glue dot to attach it to my card.  I topped it with my scrunched  flower and pierced the edges of the card to complete it.  Very girlie, but you know they are my favourite type!  All for now, Sue x

  2. Love this card. I love the way that the items used are not 'christmassy' initially.
Then again that's why I love spellbinders just for that reason.
Enjoy your weekend and I hope you are having fun.

  33. Morning Sue, Absolutely love this card, it is GORGEOUS. This is the card that I'm going to try to copy for a friend's birthday in 2 weeks time. I love the colours, the vintage lace borders look gorgeous, I'm loving labels 18 and 23, I haven't got those yet but they're next on my list, they work perfectly with the sentiment and nestabling is just gorgeous. The bow is 'to die for', might have to get some of the American Seam Binding, the bows you make with it are absolutely beautiful. Love the large flat backed pearls, can't wait for those to be available and your pave faux pearls always look so beautiful (I still haven't given that a go yet, you make it look so easy, but I'm scared ha ha, will have to pluck up courage and give it a go). Lots of love from Patricia xx

  164. Hi Sue, loving this "girly" card! Those vintage lace borders are gorgeous! Will have to get the cosmic shimmer glue for those pearl effects, who knows maybe one day (after loads of practising!) I might get as good as you! This card ticks & sings at the same time! (What a rhythm!). xx Love Karen xx

  179. With havin so much content do you ever run into any issues of plagorism or
copyright violation? My website has a lot of exclusive
content I've either written myself or outsourced but it looks like a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my permission. Do you know any techniques to help reduce content from being ripped off? I'd genuinely appreciate
    it.

  180. I was wondering if you ever considered changing the
page layout of your website? Its very well written; I love
what youve got to say. But maybe you could
a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better.
Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or 2
pictures. Maybe you could space it out better?
