Beaded Border Background

Hello everyone!  This is one of my favourite quick cards to make.  It doesn't matter what colour you pick or what border you use, it always comes out very nice I think.  I started with a piece of dusty rose coloured card and covered it with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I cut 6 Vintage Lace borders (you can use less if you like).  I peeled the backing paper off revealing a sticky surface for my borders.  I laid the borders across the card, leaving a small gap between them.  Once placed, I poured micro beads over the piece so they stuck to all the remaining area on the piece.  I cut a small labels 20 out of white card and inked through the die with Victorian Velvet.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with one of the vintage lace tags.  I inked it with Victorian Velvet distress ink as well.  I added some pearl Labels 20 nestabling to the edge and mounted the two pieces together and placed them in the lower corner of my card. For the top corner,  I tied a double bow out of our satin edged organza ribbon and added a large round Dazzler to the centre.  I pierced the edges and added some flatback pearls to all the small holes in the edges of the borders to complete the card.

  15. GM Sue, I've been waiting for this one to appear on your blog - I didn't see your demo of it on C&C but I did spot it in the samples that were shown to camera and it caught my eye immediately. Absolutely lovely - it's a must try for me.

Also, thx to Sue Higgins who gave an idea on ydays blog comments for how to design inserts to coordinate with the front card design - a good idea and I know how to do it I think! But what's inside a Sue Wilson card I am wondering?.......
