Peach Bauble Blossoms

Morning everyone!  Bauble Blossoms for  today!  I haven't shown anything using these dies yet, I don't think.  I have to be honest and say that I did not get on with these dies straight away.  They took a bit of playing with before I was happy with them.  That being said, I do think they are a very pretty flower and found them very relaxing to sit and make.  For me, these dies gave better results when I cut two of the flower strips and offset them on top of each other and rolled them.  I was struggling with the spacing a bit when used singularly and my petals were stacking up on top of each other.  When I offset them to begin with, then rolled, I liked the way the flowers came out better.  I used both of the bauble blossom set one and set two for the flowers on this card.  I liked the mixed assortment of the styles in my wreath.  I picked two shades of peach for the flowers and white for the centres.  I first embossed the top half of my card with the Flora embossibility folder for texture.  I stamped the bottom corner with my sentiment with a black archival ink pad.  I used a piece of the peach fizz vintage ribbon as a separator between the two sections.  I added a messy bow using the peach and some white vintage ribbon and topped it with a fancy pearl button and a couple of stick pins.  I made eight of the bauble blossom flowers, using the various styles and arranged them in a wreath fashion on the top of my card.  I pierced the edges of the card to finish it off and give it a nice frame.  I hope you like it!  All for now, Sue x

  2. A different card Sue not a fan of wreaths but as wreaths go this is very pretty. I think I would like to see these flowers mixed with those Asters with swirls in a corner presentation which means I shall have to buy them of course. Thanks for the inspiration Sue.x

  3. Hi Sue have been waiting to see if you would show this card. Saw this on C&C and loved it. Now it's even more impressive seeing it in detail. I do find it awkward to get a good flower with these dies but will try doubling them up.

  5. Hi Sue,
WOW, this is a fantastic card. Love everything about it. I see you have used one of those lovely pearl buttons I very much admire. I keep looking for them in the shops. Or were they bought in the states? I have tried making them with small pearls. They turn out fine but not as nice as yours. Hope your feeling much better now.
Have a great crafty day everyone.

  147. You can get more layers and embellishments and textures and "lovely bits" on a card than anyone else I've seen. The layered flowers are really nice. The bow, of course, is usually what my eye goes first. Then, I force myself away and look at the rest of the card. ;-)

Thank you for the explaination, now I can have another go, I should send you a picture of my disaster flowers, I think there are about twenty, in all sorts of funny shapes, lol, but hey-ho, now I know.

I personally like this one - although I don't usually like wreaths of flowers this one is bright and pretty - probably something to do with the nice colour combination and lovely embossing. Hmm some birthdays coming up so might just have a go at doing something like this.

This was my fave card of all Sue, I loved this, not sure I could use the die as 3d as its meant but the way you have used it I think it lovely and yet another on my list..... good tip about using 2 strips of the die cut offset to get a full flower and one I'll remember when I have got the dies..... thanks for sharing x
