Morning all! I am just loving these Heartfelt Creation dies! There are just so many things you can do with them. I love the swirly filligree look to this one. I cut it positioned in the upper half of my card. As it doesn't cut completely away, just the top half comes away from the card. From the back of the card, I taped the very edges of the die so it became part of the background again. I stamped my sentiment below it with a black archival ink pad. I embossed it with clear embossing powder. (I had a question about what I use recently and this ia the way that I always do my sentiments). I cut my background on the diagonal underneath the sentiment. The bottom piece I embossed with the valor embossibility folder. I layered the pieces of the background on another piece of card where I pierced around the edge. Along the two joined pieces, I added some swirls. Atop the swirls, I made flowers from the spiral flower 3 and the Bitty Blossoms set. On one of the spiral flowers, I nipped off the tip of the petals and cut fringe into each petal before rolling it. This will give you a flower that looks a little like a carnation and is completely different from the original flower the die makes. I added some of the Bitty Blossoms to the spray of flowers. Although it did not photograph very well, I put a bit of Diamond Stickles on the edges of the flowers for a bit of bling. I hope you like this one! All for now, Sue x

Wow wow wow, stunning, elegant makes a statement and is just beautiful, thanks for sharing and explaining. I treated myself to few new sets, and in particular both the Persian sets. I have a problem. I have a big shot pro. When I finally manage to get the die to cut I can't remove the piece from the die, tried the greaseproof paper, didn't work. The card is like embedded into the die, would appreciate help, I've contacted sizzix and have correct adaptors etc. Many thanks, dawn Heald

Hi Sue. I really love this card and ever since I watched your live demo I have been searching for the Heartfelt Creations die, but it appears everyone has sold out. Will just have to be patient and wait for the next batch to arrive in the country. Hope you had a nice Easter break. Sue

ReplyDeleteThese dies are just so beautiful. it's amazing how they can make them so intricate and with your tip of wax paper they come out so easily. Today's card is very beautiful and chic. The flowers are stunning
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, This is a very popular card! I am late leaving a comment this time and it looks as if the total will top 200 very soon. I did think it was lovely when I saw it on C&C and it's even nicer close to. I have the Bitty Blossoms dies now and must remember how good they look as you've done them - in a trail diagonally across the card. I tend to put flowers in the same places and it would be really good for me to do something as different as this. Thanks Sue, Sue x (PS I keep meaning to count the number of Sues on this blog, some days it seems like there's an awful lot of us!)
ReplyDeleteWell what can I say but I love it Sue not got this heartfelt die but have got the other heartfelt gate ones do you think you could post one using them one day
ReplyDeleteTake care
Theresa xx
Hi Sue,
ReplyDeleteMy first thought as I looked at your most wonderful creation today was of the tree of life. Have you seen them when they are made into a piece of jewellery? Well this diecut is reminiscent of that effect. Plus, yep, I started singing!
Do I tell you or be a bit cheeky again and make you work for it....? Well being me, I can't just give it away can I.... so my clue is your flowers; it's easy really.......
think of a brother and sister duo, a very famous family group, morman religion and lots of pretty, pretty dolls that the singer displays every year (I believe) at CHA... I bet you know now don't you Sue.
Yes it's 'Paper Roses' by Marie Osmond. I used to really like that song when I was younger and then one day I actually listened to the words, bit sad really.
Anyway it was only the reference to the flowers I associated with your lovely card and not the creep of a boyfriend!! LOL!!
Have a good week. Email on its way. Love Linda x
I love love love this card, it is so gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteKeep them coming Sue, your creative-ness knows no bounds
Much love
Amanda xx
