Hi there my crafty friends! Here is another one of those buckle type cards. I really like the look of this tartan background paper with it's brown, green, red and yellow colour combo. It's a bit wild and made for a wild card, but I still like it as its different. I started with a piece of it and added the Moroccan border all the way around the edge, just peeking out. I cut the romantic rectangle and used the next size down to cut it into a frame. I cut a label 25 in red, then stamped my sentiment on the matching backing paper (actually the backside of the tartan paper) and cut it with the next smaller size of labels 25. I used that die to create a faux nestie for it in brown. I wove a strip of the matching paper with some red edged organza ribbon through the frame and the labels 25. I finished the card with a big bow on the side of the card. This is one of the new ribbons we have been carrying at Creative Expressions and it ties a really nice bow.

Good Morning Sue,
Love, love, love this card.

Thank you for all the inspiration

Morning one and all. What a wonderful card, yet again.
Up early to get housework done before he goes to work to spend the whole day playing with me crafty bits.
Buzzing with ideas from yesterdays visit. Have to go but have a great day everyone and happy crafting!

Great card Sue, strong colours and almost a masculine feel to it.x
Stunning card ,love the colour combo .Melanie
Hi Sue
Lovely card very bright and cheerful.
Congratulations to the winners.
Sue
Morning Sue and a lovely bright card to cheer up this chilly morning. I agree this could be a bit more of a masculine card than some others so gives me ideas for the men in our lives. I HATE doing mens cards. I always get stumped along the line and end up putting a ribbon on it making it into a female card and then have to start over again lol
Have a good day
Jayne xx
Morning Sue
This is a differnt card, I do like tartan as I have Scottish blood in me! Congratulations to all the winners. Hope you are having a good time with your Mom. Love Jean x
All the colours seem to come together. Another great card! Love the boarder all the way round, and the ribbon woven into the centre piece and the large bow! Great, love it!

Unsurprising, another gorgous card. Thank you for sharing your skill and talent with us xx
Hi Sue - from another Scot with her own tartan! Ours is pale blue and green so a different colour ribbon needed, I think. But another great card idea. Kathy x

Ooh I am a winner, thank you. Another stunning card. I'll e-mail you now. Have a lovely Sumday.
I love tartan and there are so many choices of colour that you could use with this design. Buckle technique always useful for men but not sure what to use instead of ribbon. I'm sure I've got something in the drawer that would be good.
Love the faux nestie again.
Toni xx
A lovely card Sue, love the tartan paper. Sheila. x
Lovely use of the dies here. It really shows how well they can be mixed and matched.
Unusual colour combo, it works well , we all need to get our papers out to refresh our thoughts on colour. Well done to the winners, it's a great feeling isn't it? Mabex
Hi Sue,
well your fab designs keep coming. I love the tartan. It's just reminded me I've got lovely tartan papers in my stash. Will be getting them out to have a go, at a similar design. It's a fab sunny morning in Kent. I hope it's the same where everyone is.

Good Morning Sue,
Really love this card, when l get stuck to know what background paper to use l go for plaids, checks, stripes or spots, they are a good stand by and always work, timeless and can be sophisticated. This card is stunning and a good one for the men in our lives. Lol and hugs Ann
Morning Sue what a vibrant card really stunning love the way you have made the buckle.....lovely day here in Selby so no crafting for me out in the garden!! hope you are having a lovely weekend take care Margaret

Good Morning Sue, Wow this is a fancy card! but it all works together and I love tartan. Love that sentiment too. We are having a lovely sunny weekend here in Herefordshire. Hope you are having a good weekend too, Sue x
Morning Sue I really like this card, as I never seem to be able to get tartan paper to look good unless it is for Christmas cards, does anyone else have this problem lol! Hope you are enjoying your stay with your mum.
Morning Sue, Nice bright card. Would be out of the box for me! Hugs, Carol S.xx
Especially love this card Sue, being Scottish the Tartan is close to my heart, i also love the bucket type cards you create and think the buckle could be possible with lots of die shapes. Hope you are having a wonderful time at home.
Hi Sue. I love the card layout, the use of tartan & the use of red, but found the overall look wasn't quite to my personal taste. The backing paper that the text is printed on is too busy for me & it makes reading the message very difficult for me due to my dyslexia. I'm sure most people wouldn't have a problem so would love the overall look. This has given me something to think about when making my cards. Thank you.
Congratulations to the winners.
With Love & Light Theresa. H
A wonderful scotish feel love the ribbon I do like the way you have overlapped the edge of the card, I find that quite scary. I missed yesterdays post, sorry, but I was showing my dog at Crufts. He didn't win but maybe I should have put ribbon on him and made a hat from spellbinders, the damask set I think!
I love the tartan paper. A great card not just for the Scots. Congratulations to the winners, Anne x
Lovely card@ Great colors and very elegant. Hugs, Hanneke
Very unique card! Gorgeous design.
Love the tartan paper, very pretty. :)
Fabulous card Sue, love the colours, tartan and the whole design. Agree with other comments that it has the masculine feel which is great. Can I have just a little bit of your talent PLEASE lol!
Hugs Christine H x

Good Morning Sue,
I just love this card and all of your cards for the inspiration it gives me. I cant thank your enough as I have cancer and was very down until one day I turned on C&C and saw you doing one of you wonderful demos and I was hooked. I just went on line and bought a load of the Spellbinders Dies and Creative Expressions products with the Grand Calabur and it wat worth the money. Because of you I was able to take my mind of the cancer and make cards which I love doing I may not be very good at it but I am getting better from watching all your demos you give such inspriation and the will to go on I just love learning all you show on C&C Can you tell me when will you be back on an will you be bringing any of the Grand dies.
Thank you so much Sue you will never know how much you have done for me. I hope you have a lovely time with your mum and family at home. I dont understand how to enter your competions can you explaine to me how to do this
Kind regards
Anne x
Lovely warm day in the Midlands, even been for a walk! Hope it lasts, as I dislike the winter, spring is my favourite time, makes me so creative! Great card Sue for the male species, as male cards seem difficult, don't like creating them! Enjoy your time in the States, wish I was there. Alison :)

Good Evening Sue.
How lovely to see another of your creations and oh so colorful. Only new to spellbinders, but with seeing all your beautiful cards, will definately be one of my favourite form of card making.
Rosemry xx
Hi Sue,
Sorry I am behind with my comments. been a difficult time.
I love the colours you have chosen here. It's funny but alot of people, unknowingly, seem to choose tartans with a base of blues or black so it is so nice to see a base of brown with added red. I could see this being adapted easily for a stunning Christmas card (sorry I know it's a bit early for that, but hey we have to start sometime.lol!)
Did you know today is the one year anniversary of the biggest earthquake and Tsunami in Japan? I cannot believe how quickly the time goes by. I am not being morbid I promise, I just thought it would be good for us all to remember those lost. Hope that's ok Sue.
Have a good week. Hugs Linda
yet again sue, another beautiful card. look forward to the next card.

As usual your card is amazing! Where do you get all your ideas from?
Hi Sue, I just had to drop you this note to say what a great read you left us reference 'your dad'. I sat with a cup of coffee and read every single word - what a man he must have been. My dad was also 'my hero' and he was so proud when I got a job with the M.O.D. Army. I did 22 yrs with them in Aldershot. I had the best job in the world. Must tell you that I just love watching you on TV and so enjoy receiving your designs each day e-mail. Have made quite a few with my Calibur. Looking forward to going to USA in May - big shop for Spellbinders. Never leave us Sue - you are the Best.
