Floral Medallion Card

Good morning all!  We got in some new colours of the vintage ribbon recently and so I started this card by picking out papers to match.  I really like the contrast of the white background with the earthtone hues.  I used the new Samantha Walker Ornate Tags and Accent dies from Spellbinders for the focal point on this card.  I love the floral medallion look you get from these when they are all layered up.  I mirrored the focal point in the embossed background which uses the floral embossing folder by Creative Expressions.  I also tried to get a similar look from the edgeability I used on the centre border.  I finished the card with a big messy bow using both shades of the new vintage ribbon, some bakers twine and topped it with a brown zipper rose. Another quick and easy card if you just want to say hello to a friend.  Aren't those the best kind of cards to get!  All for now, Sue x
