Hi everyone! I was thinking.....
it seems like an awful long time between blog candy contest draws so what if.....
you were able to potentially WIN stuff from EVERY post I make! Wouldn't that be great! Well, here is the plan. I will give away something, either a stamp set or some embellishments or some other crafting goody everytime there are 100 comments left after a blog post from this point forward. You say that sounds like a lot, but I have noticed that I routinely get over one hundred comments whenever I post new blog candy so I know you can do it. In fact, I will make this very first time a little sweeter by adding something more to the prize(I will have to have a think and get back to you!). In return, I will try to post more often because I know it's fun when you get to see something new. The game will apply to the top two posts, so that if I make a new post before the comment number reaches 100, you will still be able to add to the newest post and the one below it. Once it drops to the third post in line, then it will no longer be in play. Make sense? When the comments hit 100, I will draw a number randomly and if your comment corresponds to that number on the comments section list, you will win. If you leave more than one comment, you will only be counted as one, however. Think of it like audience participation. a little work on your part and a little work on my part and everyone wins! The comments can be anything you like, just let me know you were here. Let me know what you think of the card I've posted or what you would like to see more of on the blog or even what you don't like (just be gentle), that sort of thing is wonderful.
After my brush with "blog death" (okay, it's a bit dramatic, but I was devastated when it all went away) on Friday, I have come to realise how much I enjoy doing my blog. I would like to make it better and more fun for you to come visit. I don't do facebook or twitter or any of the other social networking sites so this is really my only means of letting anyone know what I'm up to. So, what do you say, you wanna play?
Oh and about the card sample, I have used the new Samantha Walker Ornate Tag die. The purple background started life as a piece of white card from which the die was cut. I left the die in place and inked the entire background with Dusty Concord Distress Ink. Removed the die to get that lovely white edge. I mounted the purple background piece using foam mounting pieces over black card. Then the inner focal die is also part of the Ornate tag set but it gets cut away. I stamped my sentiment and lightly sponged it with the same ink and mounted back into the centre on mounting foam. I added a bow out of the white crinkly edged ribbon and finished it off with the Anemone die, cut three times. I removed the inner petals and mounted them together and added a fancy pearl button for the centre. I matted and layered it with some paper piercing to finish it off.
If you have any questions about my new comments game, please feel free to email me at sue@particraft.co.uk . All for now, Sue x
hmm...nice :)

And I´m so glad to hear, that I´m not the only one, who´s not on Facebook and all the other social sites either, as many seems to think, I´m crazy, I don´t want that, but I don´t like the way they have things there, so I´m really glad to read, there´s more like me, and I always loves to come here and see your work, and I´ve been a follower for a while now, and enjoy every visit here.

this sounds really quite exciting, the chance of randomly winning more little things here and there to play with! I love the purple, in fact I have dusty concord distress ink and the tim holtz ruler so I could have a go at copying these two techniques and see where i get to!!
ReplyDeleteHi sue, this is the first time I have left a comment after finding your blog after watching your demos on Create and Craft. I wanted to say how much I appreciate and value you uploading your sample cards on your blogs as I dont have recording facilities at home to record your demos when Im at work so your pictures on here are my only way of remembering how you have used your spellbinder dies. So thank you so much and please keep posting your card samples. Carol

hi sue
ReplyDeletelovely card from debbie
cant wait for the pick of the day on cc
The game sounds fun. Love the pearl button - where do you get those from?
ReplyDeleteGreat idea Sue and one of the things I wanted to ask is Can you please do more cards using the smaller spellbinders in the sets?
ReplyDeleteI love playing with the dies but find the smaller ones more difficult to use - not the ones that go fine for corners but the ones that sit nside the bigger dies.
I'm so pleased with this news - I'm sure i won't win anything but I don't mind because I'm just pleased that you'll be posting more often as I love your blog posts!
ReplyDeleteDeb
