Flying Santa Card

Hello guys! It's a bit of a different sort of Christmas card, but I think you may like it (even if steampunk isn't your thing!)  You probably know someone for who this sort of card would be perfect!

The finished dimensions are 7" x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Christmas Double Day

Happy Black Friday all!  We are getting down to our last several weeks of double days (and still so many Christmas samples left to show!)  Starting out today is one that I did as a demo on Hochanda awhile ago.  I started by covering a piece of coconut white card with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I peeled the backing off and coated it with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz.  Next I taped Phill Martin's mask called Snowflake Trails over it and used the Moonlight Pearl Luna paste through the mask with a palette knife.  I removed the mask and allowed it to dry overnight.  Next I used the palette knife to spread Moonlight Sky Luna paste over a piece of blue card.  I allowed it to dry well, then die cut the Faith die out of it.  I cut two more of the Faith die in white and a Eve die in white as well.  I used the Eve die as the base and added the two Faith dies out to the sides, then seated the Blue die cut Faith die in the centre.  I cut the Merry Christmas sentiment in white and glued it to the centre of the card.  I completed the card with white and a thin blue mat that I used a small amount of the blue luna paste around the edge to coordinate with the card.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x  8 1/4" in size.  Scroll down for card number two.

Card number two started with a piece of ruby card and I embossed it with the 3D folder called Natalie's Poinsettias.  Next I used the Fire Red Glitter kiss over the top of it to highlight the embossing.  I cut the inner die of the Natalie set out of coconut white card.  I used mounting foam to attach it inside the embossed area in the centre.  I cut two of the Poinsettia Clusters in white, then cut the matching poinsettia out of red card that I had put Red Glitter Kiss on already.  I also cut the Warmest Wishes out of the same card and seated it in the middle of the card with a black shadow.  I gave the poinsettias a bit of dimension by cutting the petals a little before gluing them into the side clusters.  The card was completed with white, red and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  8 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

You're Special To Me

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving to my American readers!  I have an autumnal sort of card to share with you today.  I started by embossing a piece of coconut white card with the Rope Chain embossing folder for texture.  Next I cut the Erin die and the Caitlin dies in white and nipped both of them in half.  I cut the Eliza die in black and used it as a base for the cut dies to attach to from behind.  For the focal element, I stamped the Lottie's Sunflower  Stamp To Die For in black and cut it out with the matching Lottie die.  I used distress markers to colour it (antique linen, wild honey, forest moss, crushed olive and spiced marmalade.)  I stamped it a second time, but just coloured the main flower and cut it out by hand and ,mounted it on top with foam.  I stamped my sentiment in the open area and mounted the entire piece in the middle of the card.  I added a wide black mat to the top and bottom of the card, then completed the card with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6" x 8 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

For You

Hi crafters!  I have a lovely, soft, almost romantic card to share with you today.  I started by embossing a piece of Powder Pink card with the Brambled Rose embossing folder for texture.  I cut two of the Hexagonal Borders in Taupe card  and cut both of them down the centre and glued them back together, overlapping the centres to create a thinner border.  I cut a strip of pink card and added it down the back of the centre of the border and added mounting foam to raise it before adding them to the sides of the card.  I cut the Abigail die  in white and seated it in a diamond orientation between the borders.  Next I stamped the matching Stamp To Die for called Abigail's Peony Spray and cut it out with the Abigail outline die.  I used Distress Markers to colour it (antique linen, forest moss, spun sugar and worn lipstick).  I cut the For You die in Taupe and in black, shadowed it and glued it into the open area in the Stamped die cut.  I used white, taupe and powder pink mats and layers to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  9" in size.  All for now Sue x

Thinking Of You

Hello crafters!  This is one of my favourite cards from the Oct. release so I am excited to share it with you.  I made several pieces of Pixie powdered card to use for this.  The first one was done in yellows; Straw Yellow and sun yellow Pixie Powders.  Next I did one in reds using Scarlet Mist and Lava Red Pixie Powder.  The blues used were Midnight blue, Aqua Lagoon and a hint of Purple Amethyst.  Finally, the green one was made using Olive Green, Emerald green and Spearmint.  I cut all three of the flower squares out of white card and did matching white backing pieces with a sticky adhesive sheet attached.  I kept all the whit background pieces from each one I cut and after attaching the die to the sticky backing piece, I laid them back into place in each of the flowers.  I cut the rose and used the fallaway out of the red pixied background.  The Iris out of the blue and the Daffodil out of the yellow one.  Next I cut each of the flower dies out of the green and pieced the leaves back into each of them to complete the entire flower dies.  I cut another backing square and used a smaller Double Stitched square and matted it then added the Thinking of You sentiment cut in black.  I added mounting foam to the backs of all four squares and attached them to another piece of white card and added a thin black mat.  White and black mats and layers were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 8" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Merry Christmas

Hello there my crafty friends!  Antique Gold, white and a touch of black for today's offering.  I started by cutting white and gold strips of card (about 3/4" wide) and attaching them to a piece of copy paper (so it wouldn't be too thick).  Next I embossed it with the Ice Crystals embossing folder for texture.  I matted that piece with a thin white and a thin black mat.  Next I cut the Natalie die out of antique Gold card.  I cut two of the Overlay and ornament die in white and added them to the sides behind the Natalie die.  I used the inner cutting dies to cut the centre for my sentiment and create a thin black frame as an accent.  I backed this section in white to show off the detail.  I reversed shadowed the sentiment in white and cut it out of black gloss card, glued them together slightly offset and attached it to the centre of the frame.  White, black and gold mats and layers were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7 3/4" x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x
