For My Friend
Hello crafters! I selected a piece of Iris card for the background for today's card. I cut the Decorative Scrolled Frame and cut it in white. I attached it to the background with mounting foam. I cut the For My Friend sentiment in black and glued it above the frame. I inked the Iris Stampcut in black and ran it through the die cutting machine. I coloured it with alcohol ink markers. I used light and dark purple for the flowers with yellow centres and several shades of green for the leaves and stems. I added the coloured die to the centre of the frame. I cut two butterflies in white from the Dainty Butterfly die set and attached them on either side of the frame as accents. The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7" x 8 1/2" in size. All for now, Sue x
Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, what a lovely flower die the Iris is, one of those dies that it gorgeous on it's own or with a patterned background, it is a beautiful die set.

Morning Sue. What beautiful inspiration. My first thought is that it would be absolutely perfect for a female that loves plants, flowers, gardening, just like the rest of the collection. Our lovely elderly neighbour is 85 today and she's our 'adopted grandma' we love her, she's strong, independent and her garden in spring/summer stops passers by in their tracks, it's full of colour and gets better every year, we always buy her gardening gifts from our local plant nursery and today is no different, so as soon as today's beautiful sample loaded I thought it perfect for those that live for everything to do with their garden. I hope everyone is doing OK and I passed your lovely best wishes to June Horrocks, what a beautiful blog, full of caring crafters xxxx
