Just Because
Hello there my crafty friends! I cut the Swirly Scrolls background in white and added a white backing to it. I cut the Layered Poppies in two shades of red and assembled them and added black centres to each of them. I cut the buds and leaves in two shades of green and assembled them. I added two poppies in each corner with leaves and a bud. I cut the Just Because sentiment in black and glued it to the background. I cut the large butterfly from the Dainty Butterfly set and added it to the card. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x 8 1/2" in size. All for now, Sue x
Morning Sue.
ReplyDeleteA very pretty card thank you.
Take care Kitty.
Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, oh this is such a beautiful sample, I love the poppies on the white swirly scrolls background, the only thing I would say is that the butterfly looks to be part of the scrolls, if it was me I would put some little coloured gems across the butterflies body and then your eyes go to it, but that is only my opinion. This is added to my 'to do' list.

Another weekend another beautiful inspiring showcase of your new floral dies, I have your first poppy dies and they look stunning when cut and made, you've made the new layered flowers with so much depth and one really great advantage - perfect for posting.
ReplyDeleteHope everyone has a good Saturday/Sunday and love to all xxx

Hi Sue,
ReplyDeleteA lovely card. The poppies are beautiful and the red reallly shows up against the swirly background. I also thought the butterfly wasn’t shown off to its best but it is really pretty too.

Hi Sue. Love the deep red poppies against the white background although I think the butterfly gets a bit lost against all the swirls. Perhaps it might stand out a bit more with the addition of some glitter?

A lovely card (yes the poppies almost look as if they are knitted, so much texture) & I love the attention to detail with the little buds. Poppies are one of my favourite flowers & I’m looking forward to their arrival in the summer. Thank you Sue.
