Christmas
Hello bloggers! I started by cutting the Christmas Big Bold Word out of black card. I glued it to a piece of clear acetate. Working from the back of the acetate, I filled in the letters one at a time with dries clear glue and sprinkled on polished silk glitter. I started with the letters that I wanted to be darker colours, then finished up with the white glitter in the "H". I set it aside to dry overnight, then added a multi-layered frame using the Clipped Corner Rectangles. I made a wider white base frame then added a thinner black frame on top. I covered a piece of white card with a sticky adhesive sheet, then peeled the backing paper off and coated it with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz. I added this as a backing behind the framed Christmas word. The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7" x 8 1/4" in size. All for now. Sue x

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, how beautiful this looks, and love your colour choice in the words, this is something that you could batch make too, and leave to dry overnight, great idea.

If you've never tried polished silk glitter then it's a real treat, it has to be the finest you'll ever use, it feels like silk it feels beautiful you really should treat yourself and unlike the cheap rubbish the recipient won't find an envelope full of nasty scratchy glitter. A lovely sample today Sue xxx

Hi Sue
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday everyone x
Love those colours. I would love to have the patience to make a card like this but my impatience always gets the better of me and I would probably start ‘poking’ the glitter before it was dry. Lol x
I bet this is one of those cards that looks even better ‘in the flesh’. It looks fabulous but ‘in real life’ the true beauty of those amazing glitters will be spectacular x

Hi Sue, a great card and I love the glittered letters although I think I would use Christmas red or holly green for the outline and frame and match the glitters accordingly.
