All The Best
Hi crafters! I just can't seem to put down these new Pixie Sparkles! I decided to mix the Groovy Grape and the Fuchsia Rose Pixie Sparkles colours on a piece of white card. Once dry, I embossed it with the Stripes embossing folder. Next I used the Tahiti die and cut it twice in white and twice in black card. I shadow the white dies with the black die cuts then mounted them horizontally across the centre of the card, over lapping in the middle. Next I cut the Maldives die in white. I mounted it vertically across the centre of the card and on top of the other two dies so they were showing on the sides. I cut the centre of the die in white and added a black mat, then layered it up in the centre. I have a bit of left over pixied card from the background and used a small piece to cut the All The Best sentiment. I added a black shadow, then glued it in the centre of the Maldives die. I decided not to add any flowers so that the background would be more visible (but I think it probably could have used some!)LOL The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7" x 8 3/4" in size. All for now. Sue x
Wonderful card Sue, love the background xx
ReplyDeleteMorning Sue.

It would look good with flowers too, depends on the occasion.
Take care stay safe and have fun Kitty.
Morning Sue, a really lovely card, and some of those little diddy flowers would add to it, depending on the recipient. Take care and stay safe everyone. Bx
ReplyDeleteHi Sue and all that visit today. A true Sue Wilson design. I love the effect the pixie sparkles give especially with this folder, both will have to go on my list of needs when the time is right, and the chalks are being demo'd on C&C today so if they tempt me, they'll have to join my list too. This weeks inspiration have been beautiful Sue giving us lots to think about and lots to look forward to when we can think about going to craft shops again to look for those luscious goodies you've been showing us during this 3rd (or continuous for some) lockdown. Sending love to you both and to all our dear friends from round the world and UK xxx
ReplyDeleteMorning Sue and all Wilsonettes, such a pretty design on this sample, it is lovely to see the Tahiti and Maldives dies again and the sparkles patterned in the background, yes this is certainly earning it's place on your blog today.
ReplyDeleteStay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Hi Sue and everyone todays inspiration is lovely. Although I thought it was chalk polish as the background looks rather muted, or maybe ots just my tired eyes lol. I do love the background though and agree with Steph this is a real Sue card. Stay safe everyone and hugs to anyone who needs or wants one today Donna xx

Good morning Sue,
ReplyDeleteA very elegant card today, I love the mix of dies used in this beautiful creation. Yvonne xx
Good Morning Sue. It's a lovely card this morning Sue. As most of us have said a true Sue card ... any one knows a Sue card. I think personally ... It is ok as is ... and I always think of the saying ... Less is more ... and that is so true. But also I think if the creator wants to put embellishments on it is their choice. That is the beauty of being a crafter. Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs and best wishes to everyone who needs them today.
ReplyDeletePLEASE STAY SAFE EVERYONE 🙏🙏🙏 IT'S NEARLY OVER.
KIND regards Ann Toppcards Leeds

Lovely card. Love the background, not only the colors of the pixie sparkles but the EF, too. It can be used on different ways and it will be so useful for masculine cards.
