Just Because

Hello there my crafty friends!  I selected a piece of silver shine card and taped the Feathered mask over it.  I used Silver Moon sparkle texture paste through the as Feathered mask with a plastic palette knife.  I set it aside to dry well, then cut it into three sections.  I attached the sections to a piece of white card with mounting foam to raise them slightly.  Next I cut the Claire die’s largest die in white.  I cut it again using the decorative die and the smaller cutting edge.  I cut a backing for it out of a piece of card that I had spread the texture paste onto earlier.  I attached the backing piece, then layered it on the larger piece.  I cut the center circle die in white and edged it with the sparkle texture paste.  Using the Just Because die, I cut it from the extra sparkle texture card I made and glued it to the center and layered it up.  I cut the Exquisite Poppy die in white and used the sparkle texture paste to add colour to the tips of the petals after the flower was assembled.  I seated it with white leaves and Fern Fronds as accents.  The card was completed with silver and white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  x  7 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  2. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, another stunning creation using the texture paste, I have fond memories of you demo'ing this at Ally Pally, you were so patient with all the questions and willingly gave your answers and advise, isn't it amazing how things stick in your mind.

Like the idea of cutting the sentiments etc. out of the texture paste card too, it looks so effective.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  3. Hiya Sue and lovely group family. Your inspiration is endless Sue, your love of craft before the world got poorly seemed rushed and full of deadlines, always moving around to prepare for shows and tv, but I feel a lot more calmness from the samples you chose to share throughout the pandemic, your love for craft shines through. Where would we be without you and your inspirational beautiful blog, I'd probably still be iris folding and buying 'cheat packs' that come with pre-cut cardstock and toppers thinking I was the bees knees lol. We love you, we love Particraft, we love your inspiration xxx

  30. An outstanding card design. The Feathered Mask is one of my favorites. Great mix of textures and sparkle. Loving the contrast between the leafy bladed Fern Fronds, another favorites of mine, and the solid leaves. Nicely done with the sparkle texture paste on your Exquisite Poppy flower. Thanks for the inspiration. Hugs
