Sending Hugs
Good Sunday morning all! Another card using the Aurora Flakes (but it photographed slightly better than the last one so I was pleased!) I started by embossing the background with the Quilted Pillow Embossing folder. I extended it slightly to make it more squarish in shape too (very easy since it is a repeatable pattern). Next I covered a piece of card with a sticky adhesive sheet. I peeled the backing off and added the Purple Dawn Aurora Flakes to it. I used my rubitscrubit pad to move the flake around and then refine and remove the excess. I used the Double Stitched Octagons and cut several frames out of it. I added mounting foam to the back of the frames, except for one spot, where I stacked them so they were all gathered in that one spot. I used the leftover flake card and cut the Striped Nasturtiums out of it as well as the Sending Hugs sentiment. I added solid backs to the flowers and assembled them and added the cluster to the left side where the frames were gathered. I cut the Family Tree die out of white card and nipped it apart to use as accents around the flowers. I added the sentiment to a strip of vellum after gluing it to the shadow base piece. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x 7 1/2" in size. All for now, Sue x

Good Morning Sue. Ohhhhh what a lovely card this morning. So good to see some older classic dies come out. I would not be without my stitched octogons. They are so versatile. In fact the only thing that I don't have on this card are the flowers But I have enough other dies in my stash that will do the job. Beautiful sample today Sue. Thankyou. Sending hugs and best wishes to everyone who needs them this morning.Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds.
