Hello bloggers! I started today's card by covering a piece of card with the
Blue Wisteria Opal Polish and allowing it to dry thoroughly. Next I used the
Vivian die cutting edge and cut an aperture in the centre. I embossed the piece using the
Rose Bed embossing folder. I added mounting foam, then attached it to a piece of black card. I used one of the
Blossom Edger borders cut twice on each side in black and added a white card backing to them and glued them to the sides of the card. I cut the outer dies from the
Vivian die in black to create a thin frame to go around the aperture opening. I used the fall away from the aperture and cut the decorative die from the Vivian in it. I cut one more out of white and offset it behind, then recessed the die into the aperture. I cut the centre die from the Vivian in white and backed it in white then added it to the centre of the card. I used the
All The Best sentiment cut in black and glued to the middle of the recessed aperture. The card was adorned with a single flower form the
Pinwheel Floral die set and leaves were used to accent it from the
Family Tree die. The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x 8 1/4" in size. All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue,
ReplyDeleteThe opal polishes are really special. You wouldn't need any other coloured card (except black, of course), if you can transform white card with gorgeous polishes like these.
I agree, it's lovely to see some of your older dies sitting along more recent ones. Hugs xxx Pauline

My favorite color blue and the Opal Polish just makes it shimmer. The embossing highlights the gorgeous color. Add the focal point with awesome die cuts and sweet flowers and you have this beautiful card!
