Hi bloggers! Here is something different using the Ivy Garden die set. I started with a piece of teal card and used the decorative ring from the Ivy Garden to cut three circles across the centre of the card, overlapping all of them. There is some over cut areas that will show through, but are easily covered later. I backed it with a piece of coconut white card. I cut two more of the Ivy Circles, but I used the outer cut ring on these. I cut them just slightly over half the way and glued them to the upper and lower edge of the card so they covered the over cut areas, but still allowed the three rings to show through in the centre. I cut the Thank You mini expression in black and added it to a pierced flag. I stamped the Shaded Passion Flower stamp in several sizes, then cut them out with the matching Passion Flower dies. I used Peacock Feather Distress Oxide to ink the edges before assembling the flower. I seated it at the end of the sentiment flag on a white satin bow and added some leaves. I finished the edges of the teal card with pearl strips. White, teal and black mats and layers completed the card. The finished dimensions are 5 3/4" x 9 1/4" in size. All for now, Sue x

Hello Sue,
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting way of using the Ivy Garden Die Set. One as a tendency to hide the overcuts in a card by adding another die cut to the center but hiding them from the top and bottom is an interesting twist. The teal Foundation card makes the design in the die cuts really pop. Simply lovely.
Hope that you have a great day in sunny Florida while we await the snow in Maryland.
