I need to add a note here about my Facebook page. Facebook is no longer allowing us to schedule posts for unbeknownst reason (which also applies to Instagram as they own it now). I will do my best to get the card of the day posted every day, but it won't always be at 6am each morning so please be patient if that is your preferred method of seeing the daily cards. All for now, Sue x

Jolly Holly Days
Hello bloggers! For today's card, I cut the outer die from the Holly Wreath Octagon in white. I backed it in red by cutting the outer most cutting die. Next I cut the middle die in red and backed it in white and added it to the focal element with mounting foam. I cut the centre wreath die with a piece of white under and piece of black card. I proceeded to cut the wreath out of green, red and red glittered card to use the fall away pieces to paper piece back into the die. I glued it to the middle of the card once the paper piecing was complete. I cut four of the corners from the Christmas Embellishment die set out of both red and black. I shadowed each red one with the black die cut and glued them into the corners. I used the Jolly Holly-Days sentiment from the Festive Wordie sheets and added it across thee bottom of the card with mounting foam. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x 6 3/4" in size.

Hi Sue
ReplyDeleteA great Christmas card. I have the Holly wreath octagon die and am interested in how different it looks using different colours (in this one you’ve used white, red and black as opposed to maybe using all white). It is a brilliant die for paper piecing.
