For You

Hello bloggers!  I decided that I wanted to do a letterpress technique for today's card.  I found a nice pale yellow pigment ink in my craft stash.  I used a Lemonade Adirondack pigment pad (unfortunately it has been discontinued) and inked the inside of the Art Deco Arches embossing folder.  I added my piece of white card to the folder and ran it through the embossing machine.  The ink then is transferred to the floor of the card.   I cut the Floral Extravaganza die in yellow and created a single flower, with a black centre.  I seated it in the lower corner area of the card and added white leaves as accents.  I cut the Pierced Flag die in white and added it from the flower across the card.  I cut the Art Deco For You sentiment in black and glued it to the flag die cut.  I added a black mat to the entire piece. The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2"  x  8 1/4" in size.

All for now, Sue x

Birthday Wishes

Hello there my crafty friends!  I started today's card by embossing a piece of white card with the Tidal Sands embossing folder.   Next I cut the Diamond Radiance die out of iris card.  I cut a smaller piece of white card to back the centre portion of the die, then covered it with a piece of black card that was cut to fill in the entire background.  I added it to the background with mounting foam.  I cut the Ornate Label die out of black and backed it with a piece of black card.  I cut the Art Deco Birthday Wishes sentiment and glued it to the middle of the tag.  The card was completed with white, iris and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  8"  in size.

Tis The Season

Hello crafters!  I selected a piece of pixied card to use.  It was created by using Midnight Blue Pixie Powder.  I cut the Crystal Kaleidoscope die out of the pixied card.  I cut the outer die in white and used it as a mat, layering up the die on top of it.  I cut a piece of white card and added it to the middle of the card with mounting foam. Using the Round Corner dies, I cut a multi-layered frame with a wide white base and a thin frame of the pixied blue card.  I glued the thin frame on top of the white frame then added it to the card with mounting foam.  I cut the Tis The Season sentiment out of white gloss card and glued it to the centre of the die.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  x  7 1/2"  in size.

All Geared Up To Celebrate

Hello there my crafty friends!  I started with a piece of black gloss card to use as the background.  From the Assorted Tool Border die set, I cut the border made up of tools nine time out of black card.  I glued the borders to the background, alternating the direction of the borders every other one.  I cut the Double Stitched Rectangles and made a thin frame cut from black gloss card.  I added mounting foam to the back of the frame, then attached it to a piece of milk card.  I added the frame to the background with mounting foam.  I cut the Volkswagen from the Classic car die set out of taupe card.  I used a pencil to add the detail to the car and a white pencil to add some soft highlights to the car.  I added it to the inside of the frame with mounting foam.  I cut the All Geared Up To Celebrate sentiment in black and glued it to a shadow backing piece before adding it below the framed car.  The card was completed with milk and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  x  7 1/2"  in size.

For You

Hello bloggers!  I selected Sherbet, black and white card for today's card.  I started by cutting the outer die from the Diamond Radiance Background into the sherbet card.  I cut the die again but into white card.  I used the white die cut as an offset shadow behind the sherbet card die cut.  I added a black card behind as a backing piece.  I cut the Dazzling Diamonds die in white and layered it on to the middle of the background.  I cut the Art Deco For You sentiment in black.  I cut a small white square, then matted it with a thin black mat and glued it to the centre of the card.  Using the Double Stitched Rectangle die set, I cut a thin white frame and glued it to the sherbet background.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  8"  in size.

Merry Christmas

Hello crafters!  I cut two of the Poinsettia Ribbon Wave die with a piece of black card on top of a piece of white card.  This gave me two embossed pieces of white card that I was able to use to colour the images.  Once I finished colouring them, I covered both of them with a piece of sticky adhesive sheet.  I peeled the backing paper off then added the black die cuts to each of them.  I coated them with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz, then trimmed the excess sticky sheet from around the edges. I added small flatback pearls to each of the poinsettia centres as accents.   I glued them both to a piece of white card.  I cut the Noble Merry Christmas die in Ruby Red card and glued it to the middle of the card between the two die cuts.  The card was completed with white and red mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  9"  in size.
