Hello crafters! I have a fun birthday card to share with you today. I went back into my background stash and pulled out a piece of Pixie Sparkled card to use as the background. I used
Green Bay and Zesty Lime Pixie Sparkles to create this background. I cut two of the
Hexagon Background, one in white and one in black. I shadowed the white one by offsetting the black die cut beneath it. Next I glued the Pixied background behind it. I made a multi layered frame using the
Double Stitched Squares with a black frame underneath and a wide white frame on top. I added mounting foam to the back of the frame then attached a piece of white vellum across the lower part of the frame before attaching the frame over the background. I cut the
Belated Birthday Wishes sentiment in black and nipped away the word belated, then glued it to the vellum strip. Using some leftover pixied background, I cut three balloons from it (from the
Dotty Balloon set) then added their stings cut in black. I attached the balloons to the frame with mounting foam. The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 7 1/2" in size. All for now, Sue x
