Surprise

Hello there my crafty friends!  I have another Big Bold Word die cards to share with you today!  I started by cutting the Surprise out of black card twice and glued them together.  I then glued the die cut to a piece of clear acetate.  From the reverses side, I used the Pearl Tints to colour in the letters.  I used Blue Diamond, Canary Song, Fragrant Lilac, Majestic Teal Glacial Green and Reigning Purple Pearl tints.  I allowed it to dry overnight, then added a piece of white card behind it.  Using the Double Stitched Rectangles, I cut a white multi-layered frame and added it over the acetate with mounting foam.  I stamped the Happy Birthday from the coordinating stamp set in the Surprise Die/Stamp Combo set and cut it out with the tag die.  I added mounting foam and attached it to the bottom of the frame.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2"  x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  4. Hi Sue and all loveliest that visit. Well yesterday was nasty mcfasty loads of work for weeks and weeks in our area which accumulated in our internet cable being squished whilst laying new broadband cables, thank goodness for Gin and the wonderful songs from the Eagles lol two good stress busters when Particraft isn't there for me (may I add the Gin was a teeny nightcap) lol so here I am and yesterday's inspiration was absolutely beautiful, today's is kind of how we felt when our landline didn't work yesterday lol these new fibre let's keep digging up what we've already done twice over bunch of scallywags are a complete pile of shambles so it was no surprise that they did something to interrupt a quiet life to a couple of homes around our home, let's just say the company will pay 200.00 plus to our internet provider for squashing our cable and ours wasn't the only one. Such is life lol I do really love these big dies I'm hoping so much that my market day will soon begin again so I have the perfect reason to treat myself. Sorry for the non blog ramble but you can pass by lol I'll still send love to all that visit, have a lovely day xxx

Good Morning Sue and all Wilsonetts.
A lovely card Sue, the colouring is beautiful and the card could be used in so many ways. I do like the pastels but if you wanted to you could use bright or shiny or even grungy.
Whatever you do to it you could make it sing.
    Hugs
    Marie P.

  13. Hi Sue and everyone loving todays inspiration so big and beautiful,I do like the effect with the crystal tints and acetate. I know I'm gonna need some of these before Christmas and some stained glass window dies. I've been thinking of doing this for a while so need to get them for my crafty stash soon.
I drew my own stained glass window last year, but not sure if this would work so need to see if you have a Nativity scene die.
    Anyway beautiful inspiration today.
    Hugs
    Donna xx

Glad you're ok Steph, thought it was odd you hadn't posted a comment bright and early xx

  15. Good Morning Sue. Beautiful card today Sue. One day I am going to own these Big dies. I really love them. But what you do with them makes all the difference. You can make half a dozen cards with the same die ... but make everyone of those cards so very different by using your stash for embellishments. You are So very clever Sue. Thankyou. Sending hugs and best wishes to everyone who needs them today.
    PLEASE KEEP STAYING SAFE 🙏 🙏 🙏

Love this post and a great way to show off the pearl tints as well. Initially though it was paper pieced, but like this alternative. These large sentiment dies are great and such a statement.
