Thinking Of You

Good Sunday morning all!  This is one of the samples that I made for my Home Shopping Network shows this past week using the Opal Polishes.  I started with a piece of white card and used Pink Thistle, Green Lemons and Lavender Blue Opal Polish all over randomly.  I then embossed half the card with the Splendid Swirls embossing folder for texture.  I cut a multi layered white frame for it using the Double Stitched Rectangles.  I cut two of the Hexagonal Border out of white card and attached across two of the corners of the frame before adding mounting foam and placing on to my embossed background.  Next I cut the Petal Pocket Flowers out of some of the remaining Opal Polished card.  I attached them in opposite corners of the frame and added white centres and leaves as accents.  I cut the Thinking Of You sentiment in white and glued it into the centre.  The card was completed with white on white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x  8" in size.  All for now. Sue x

  5. I love the deep pastel tones and prefer them to brights as my first port of crafting call so i'd say these colours were mid shades/ mid tones of colour, so love them!

  7. WOW Sue. Keeper and fourpaws out, list of summer plants made whilst watching Tattern flower show then lept into this magnificent show of beauty that although the die placement is less, the background and colour really is more and star of the show, the colours you've chosen and the way you've blended them together is nothing but a work of art, how I wish I was as talented or just had a tiny bit of your talent Sue. Whatever you are doing, however you are spending your Sunday I hope it's as enthralling as the inspiration you give to us xxx

  10. Hi Sue
Well I have always really liked the opal polishes and knew that I would buy them at some point. And now I want them all. I want them now and I will be adding some of them to my collection a lot sooner than I had planned!
What a stunning background - oh my goodness - that is absolutely beautiful. Fabulous card x
I didn’t catch your appearances on HSN unfortunately as I was not about. Please come back soon and do a Week day wonder on C & C so we can take our time and enjoy you at leisure (not to mention record and rewind you)!
Looks like it is going to be a beautiful day (if the birds singing is an indication). It’s my birthday so not a lot planned. Certainly no washing or housework! Lots of sitting and chatting to friends who have threatened to visit. Oh and there’s bound to be Birthday money so might have to investigate the opal polish colour range!!
    Happy Sunday everyone x

Good morning Sue and Happy Birthday Yvonne.
Well Sue you have really put us in a tiz today haven't you? I agree with the others that the Opal polish is wonderful and I would love to watch a video if there is one available. I'm sure that it's the Sue Wilson Magic Touch that is responsible for the perfection and of course I will buy some of the polish if I get taken out to my favourite craft shop this year. We are all 'Thinking of you' Sue and hoping you are healthy and Happy. We miss you.
    Hugs.

Love the polish on the card and the effect created when its embossed - very mother of pearl. Gorgeous post, though the sentiment seems a bit lost on the lovely background - may just be the photo.
