You're Special To Me

Hello all!  Today's card is all about the Lesley die!  I started with a piece of Old Rose card and cut the outer die from the Lesley set into it.  I backed it with white card.  I used the Double Stitched Squares to add a thin frame out of white card around it.  I used the Lesley outer die again and cut it into white card.  I backed it with white card and then used the inside cutting shape to cut an aperture in it.  I added mounting foam to the back to raise it.  I cut the centre design intro a piece of Old Rose card and backed it with Old Rose card as well.  I added the aperture over it and then seated it in a diamond orientation over the background.  I stamped my sentiment then added a circular white frame over it cut from the Double Stitched Circles.  I added it to the centre of the card.  The card was completed with white and Old Rose card mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x  6 3/4" in size.

To answer yesterday's question, this might seem a bit odd, but the only continent that I haven't stepped foot on yet is Antarctica so that is where I would like to go (in their "summer" such as it is!) LOL  All for now,. Sue x

  2. Morning Sue, really love this card, looks so pretty with the old rose card! You have travelled well, but think Antartica would be a bit too cold and don’t think there would be many card makers living there! Lol love Jean xxx

  5. As the saying goes "better later than never" logged in at 6 and not post ! Silly blogger (Blogger) not uploading your post when we expected it to be there ! Anyway your gorgeous inspiration is here so all is well ☺ I really need to catch up with all these new coloured cardstock such pretty shades to show the beauty of all your dies and designs that you put together, and this sample is stunning Sue.
Antarctica would be the end of my fingers and toes due to the intense cold lol so it's one of those stunning places that I will admire from the warmth of my home but I know that you will one day accomplish your dream but it may be rather hard to get ideas for die designs and shapes if it's as white and flat as I think it might be lol (geography never a good subject) lol.
Whatever your plans, enjoy your day xxx

    A beautiful card.
My friend Dee went to Antarctica in February this year and has the most amazing photos of penguins and icebergs, and hair-raising tales of getting on and off the ship onto zodiacs.

A wonderful example of your familar juxtaposition of die cuts as well as stepping up and stepping down of two or more die cuts to make your design aesthetically pleasing.
